Su Zhou walked up to the transparent window and pointed at the craft passing through the atmosphere.
Even against the pitch-black cosmos, the flames produced by friction with the air were visible to the naked eye!
"Look, that thing. Looks pretty fast. It's passing through the atmosphere!"
Nick hurried to Su Zhou's side as well, staring at the dazzling flames, momentarily speechless.
It seemed that even after his last round of warnings, the Skrulls still paid him no heed!
Quite a few Skrulls were still doing things behind his back. It looked like Su Zhou had been right.
These aliens with their advanced technology were a ticking time bomb for Earth as it was now.
To those ambitious Skrulls, Earth was nothing more than a ready-made refuge planet.
Going anywhere else was less convenient than simply blending into Earth!
Nick Fury cursed loudly and drew his pistol, ready to act.
"Damn it! There really are Skrulls with a death wish?!"
"Hey! If you can't give me a gun, can you at least get me some clothes?
"If the warship blows up or I get shot dead, I don't want to die with my ass hanging out!"
But Su Zhou had one hand clamped tightly around the towel at his waist, while his other hand gripped Nick's clothes.
Su Zhou hurriedly put on the clothes Nick Fury had brought him. They looked like a Skrull combat uniform.
As for a weapon, Nick Fury obligingly handed his pistol over to Su Zhou.
He grabbed a steel pipe for himself instead. Well... he had just pulled it off the warship.
The two crept toward the warship's control room, one behind the other. The medical room Su Zhou had originally been in
was about as far from the warship's control room as possible. Without Nick acting as a living map to guide the way,
an ordinary person would have struggled even to find it!
Su Zhou was fine, but Nick Fury grew more alarmed with every step.
Even as the two walked openly down the corridors, not a single Skrull appeared.
It was as if the warship had become a ghost ship. Apart from the two of them, they couldn't hear any other movement!
"Wait. There are people ahead."
Leading the way, Su Zhou raised a clenched fist, bringing Nick to a stop behind him.
Nick Fury had no idea, but through [Super Vision], Su Zhou had seen the situation throughout the entire warship clearly.
A crowd of Skrulls was huddled at the corner of the passage ahead, seemingly hiding from some danger themselves!
They didn't have a single weapon in their hands. They looked like a group of women and children?
They kept trying to open the door to the room where the weapons were stored, but no matter what they tried, they couldn't get it open.
He put the gun away and secured it.
With an odd expression, Su Zhou glanced back at Nick Fury, then whispered:
"Are Skrulls carbon-based life forms? Do they get pregnant and give birth too?"
"Why bring that up all of a sudden?"
Nick Fury looked utterly bewildered. Su Zhou's remark had come out of nowhere and was really hard to understand.
"Because I spotted another bunch of Skrull women and children hiding over there. They seem to be hiding from something."
"Where?!"
Nick Fury immediately straightened up and looked where Su Zhou pointed.
Sure enough, he spotted a crowd of green-skinned, pointy-eared Skrulls looking at the two of them in terror.
Su Zhou sized the Skrulls up for a while, found that they had no weapons on them, and put his gun away.
"Nick?!"
The female Skrull at the front found the bald man before her familiar. She stepped straight up and hugged Nick.
"An evil Earthling invaded our ship and took control of our warship in an instant.
"That Earthling is in the ship's control room right now. They seem to be stealing our research!"
"What?!"
Only then did Nick Fury realize how serious the problem was. The Skrulls had been his trump card.
But now another Earthling had discovered his trump card. This was no laughing matter!
Standing nearby, Su Zhou watched the somewhat anxious Nick Fury and said unhurriedly:
"See? What did I tell you? If I could discover something like this, so could someone else.
"The Skrulls are a massive ticking time bomb for Earth. Getting them out of here as soon as possible is the best choice!"
The Skrulls who heard Su Zhou's words glared at him, their eyes full of fury.
But Su Zhou wasn't the least bit afraid. Instead, he met their gazes one by one.
With [Super Vision], his eyes wouldn't get dry even if he went three days and nights without blinking!
Nick's big, black, bald head was working furiously, and he instinctively pulled out his pager.
His pager could contact only one person: Captain Marvel, Carol!
After subduing the Skrulls with his righteous glare, Su Zhou reached out to stop Nick Fury.
A little matter like this didn't call for Captain Marvel!
Mainly, if Captain Marvel came, how was he supposed to rake in Justice Points?!
"Let's take a look first. You're a veteran spy. How can you lose your composure so easily?"
Su Zhou drew his pistol and continued toward the control room.
Nick Fury hesitated, but still chose to follow Su Zhou.
Su Zhou noticed that the intruder didn't seem to have taken control of the systems inside the entire ship.
At most, they had only disabled all the systems. Even the warship's internal warning system hadn't been triggered.
In other words, this intruder had some technical skill, but wasn't all that skilled?
When Su Zhou and Nick Fury quietly crept up outside the control room, its doors were tightly shut.
Who knew what material these doors were made of? They could actually block [Super Vision]'s ability to see through things!
For a moment, Su Zhou had no idea what to do either. He could only turn back and communicate with Nick through tactical hand signals.
"Can you get this door open?"
"I can only try!"
Nick returned a hand signal indicating that he could try. Right now, the entire ship felt a little strange, inside and out.
These doors had never been closed before. Now, all he could do was try
to see whether his iris authentication still worked!
Nick tiptoed up to the iris scanner by the door and held his right eye up to it.
The scanner gave no response. It only silently lit up red.
Helpless, Nick could only lift the patch over his left eye, revealing his other eye!
Beep-!
With a cold mechanical sound, Nick's authentication finally went through.
The tightly shut control room doors slowly opened, and Su Zhou darted inside.
He aimed the dark muzzle of his gun at the only humanoid creature standing in the control room!
"FBI investigation! Put your hands up!"
