By the time Coulson arrived at the scene with his men, Su Zhou had already performed CPR on Nick for the eleventh time.
The interrogation had gone very well. Nick had not managed to finish a single curse.
Su Zhou had also farmed 10 Justice Points from him, and just as he was about to have enough for his fourth draw,
the system seemed to realize he was exploiting a bug. When he interrupted Nick's swearing for the eleventh time, it stopped awarding Justice Points.
Just then, Coulson arrived too. It was time to get down to business!
Only, Coulson had brought nine field agents with him this time,
and Su Zhou happened to recognize every one of them. They were all Hydra infiltrators!
Su Zhou: (눈‸눈)
All I can say is, Serpent S.H.I.E.L.D. really lives up to its name. Where are all the good guys?!
"Agent Coulson, first, take a look at the alien corpse inside that Land Rover.
"I shot it dead. Right after I killed that alien,
"our Director Nick showed up, swearing up a storm and being very unfriendly.
"So I shot him too. But the clothes he was wearing seemed to be alien technology.
"They were exceptionally bulletproof, so all I could do was cuff him and hang him up here."
Su Zhou got straight to the point and explained everything. Coulson took the Hydra agents to inspect the Land Rover.
Sure enough, they found the Skrull's corpse. One look at the gaping hole in its head told them it was Su Zhou's handiwork.
Then Coulson put away his gun and came over to Su Zhou. Looking at the unconscious Nick Fury,
he had no idea what to do for a moment!
"Uh, did you get anything out of him?"
"Nothing at all. He started cursing at me as soon as he woke up. Sir, you know me.
"I absolutely cannot tolerate that kind of abuse, so I chose to shut him up with a noose!
"And I suspect Nick Fury has undergone alien modification. Never mind an ordinary person,
"even a well-trained agent couldn't hold out after being suffocated eleven times.
"But this guy held out, and he even had the energy to curse. Watch, I'll wake him up!"
Su Zhou drew his gun and shot Nick right in the thigh. Although his pants were bulletproof,
the tremendous impact of the bullet still worked. The intense pain woke Nick up.
This time, however, he did not start cursing. Su Zhou's training method was very effective.
He had already taught this king of spies to keep his mouth shut!
When Director Nick saw Coulson, he was so overcome that he nearly cried!
Right then, he wanted nothing more than to shoot this subordinate he had personally promoted. Su Zhou was so twisted he was practically inhuman!
And Coulson had personally delivered this deranged man to his side!
If he didn't have Coulson shot, how could he do justice to the torment he had suffered today?!
After composing himself, Nick once again regained the commanding air of a superior.
"Coulson, this is the fine subordinate you found for me?!"
"Nick, on behalf of S.H.I.E.L.D., I'm arresting you on charges of colluding with aliens to invade Earth!
"You have the right to remain silent, but anything you say will be used as evidence in court!"
Coulson's expression was cold as well. He knew about the Skrulls,
but this reckless rookie Su Zhou had caught them red-handed, so he had no choice but to keep up the act!
Otherwise, he would end up receiving the same treatment as Nick!
"Have you lost your mind too, Coulson?! I'm innocent! What that lunatic Su Zhou said... gack!"
Nick understood what Coulson meant in an instant. He didn't know whether he could tell Su Zhou about the Skrulls,
and with so many field agents present, he could only play along!
But halfway through his sentence, Su Zhou tightened the noose again, cutting him off!
"There's an alien corpse in that car that took on your appearance. Do you know what that means?
"If those aliens can turn into you, they can turn into me, or even the president!
"S.H.I.E.L.D. exists to handle incidents like these. As its director, not only did you fail to deal with them,
"you actually colluded with those aliens, and you still claim you're innocent?!
"If I didn't need information on those aliens, I'd kill you right now!"
As Su Zhou pulled the rope tight, he slapped Nick across the face with the back of his other hand.
His brows were tightly knitted and his chest heaved rapidly. He looked filled with righteous indignation and uncontrollable fury.
"Talk! Where are those damned alien invaders?!"
Su Zhou fully demonstrated his skill at slapping labels on people. What had originally been unidentified aliens
had now become outright alien invaders. The Skrulls did launch a Secret Invasion later,
so Su Zhou already had his eye on these walking Justice Points. He could farm Nick Fury along the way too,
and stop an alien invasion on top of that. How many Justice Points would that earn him?!
To hear an answer, Su Zhou loosened the rope a little, letting Nick take a couple of proper breaths.
"Motherfu... gack!"
"Swear again and I'll snap your fingers!"
Nick had fallen back into his old habits, but Su Zhou urgently canceled that and issued another yellow-card warning!
Seeing the whites of Nick's eyes rolling into view, Su Zhou loosened the rope a little again.
After another violent bout of coughing, Nick finally calmed down.
After gathering his thoughts, he glared viciously at Su Zhou and said,
"What exactly do you want? The Skrulls are S.H.I.E.L.D.'s most closely guarded secret.
"Top-secret information requiring Level 10 clearance. They came to Earth decades ago.
"They're aliens friendly to Earth. And you! Su Zhou!
"You just killed one of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s alien agents! You son of a... ahhh!!!!"
Crack!
Nick Fury's left pinky gave a sharp crack and changed shape in Su Zhou's hand.
It now sat at a bizarre angle. It looked broken!
"I told you, if you swore again, I'd snap your fingers!
"If you don't believe me, keep cursing. Let's see just how filthy that mouth of yours is!"
Su Zhou was utterly calm at that moment. He was only a director of S.H.I.E.L.D., after all.
Compared to countless Skrulls, he was nothing!
Without ruthlessness, you couldn't hold your ground!
Now it was time to see who was more ruthless, him or Nick Fury!
"Su Zhou, have we wronged Director Nick?"
At this point, Coulson realized things were taking a strange turn. Why did Su Zhou seem to have become the villain?
It had been an act from the start, but Su Zhou didn't know that!
He had broken the director's finger over a single remark. This performance was far too realistic!
"Sir, you actually believe a traitor's words instead of the facts you saw with your own eyes?"
Su Zhou's eyes were filled with disbelief. He was thoroughly immersed in his performance.
Even his Hydra colleagues behind Coulson were watching with relish.
They hadn't expected to stumble on such juicy drama during a field assignment. If only they had a bottle of beer right now!
Su Zhou pulled the noose tight, choking Nick until his eyes rolled back again, then pointed his gun at Coulson.
"Since you believe this damned traitor, I have nothing more to say.
"Get down, hands on your head!"
