Background / History
Creation and Card Business
Xing Yao created Clone No. 3 after an early operation brought in a large stockpile of Resentment Points. His earth-based healing and armor abilities immediately filled the team’s support and defensive roles; Clone No. 1 enthusiastically described him as a combined healer and tank 5.
Dissatisfied with their dilapidated lodging, Clone No. 3 urged the group to earn enough money for a villa. He suggested bounties and missions before proposing that they manufacture special items. This idea led to their experiments with ability-powered resentment cards 7 8.
After repeated failures, he successfully made an earth armor card and secured an upgrade to Stage Nine as his reward. The group’s first production run included 108 earth armor cards 9.
Black-Market Assignment
Xing Yao sent Clone No. 3 to help Clone No. 2 follow a suspicious card buyer. Both remained invisible while trailing the man into a concealed black market, but lost him among its masked crowds 12 13.
Clone No. 3 initially objected to selling more cards there, preferring to recover the cards already in suspicious hands. Once Xing Yao explained his plan to sell modified cards with brief benefits and prolonged, intensified backlash, he enthusiastically supported the trap. The group fell silent when Clone No. 4 raised the possibility of innocent buyers being harmed 13.
He and Clone No. 2 were assigned to discreet black-market sales. After reaching the First Tier, he was relieved of stall duties so he could concentrate on comprehending his law in the mental world 14 15.
Computers and Reconstruction Cards
After reaching the Second Tier, Clone No. 3 joined Clone No. 1 in asking Xing Yao for computers. He argued that prolonged earth-law cultivation weighed on the mind and that recreation could help maintain a stable mindset, before plainly admitting that cultivation was tedious 43 45.
Xing Yao agreed, but revealed that purchasing a villa had exhausted their money. He proposed selling earth-skill cards for the city’s reconstruction, then assigned Clone No. 3 to supply the pure earth-element power needed to infuse and stabilize them 46 47.
The other clones praised him until he reluctantly accepted. He questioned why the cards could not be duplicated like the combat cards, but Xing Yao explained that their low margins made manual production the profitable option. By breakfast, he was being urged to make still more cards so everyone—including Clone No. 5—could receive a computer 47 48 49.
Appearance
- Bearing: Initially described as steady and gentle, with a firm stance and a grounded, strong voice 5.
- Mask: Wears the Two of Hearts mask 7.
- Second-Tier manifestation: Earthen-yellow law patterns circulate around his body. During his breakthrough, he floats in midair with his robes moving without wind and radiates a weighty, mountain-like pressure 43.
Personality
Clone No. 3 is usually composed and sparing with words, but his restraint gives way to open excitement over money, successful inventions, and rewards. He celebrates completing his first card with an exuberant shout, then immediately seeks an upgrade for his work 7 8 9.
His dry humor frequently punctures Xing Yao’s authority. After his breakthrough, he answers an earnest question about law fusion by stating that he does not play in the mud, taking a jab at Clone No. 1. He also points out that Xing Yao’s law fusion is less complete than the clones’ 43 46.
He cares enough about saving face that lavish praise makes it difficult for him to refuse unwanted work. Nevertheless, he recognizes another clone’s distress: when Clone No. 5 is overlooked after fetching breakfast, he offers quiet sympathy as a fellow sufferer 47 49.
Abilities & Skills
Ground Talent — Initial Abilities
His original talent combines vitality recovery with earth-and-vegetation defense 5.
- Ground Life Drain: Continuously draws in vitality while he stands on the ground. He can use it to restore himself or replenish another person’s life force.
- Verdant Wood Mystic Armor: Manipulates soil and vegetation into heavy wooden armor while his feet remain on the ground.
- Ground-contact requirement: Both original skills explicitly depend on contact with the ground 5.
- Later change: The law reshaping accompanying the clones’ advancement is reported to erase their previous abilities; these are his documented initial skills, not a confirmed unchanged Second-Tier skill set 15.
Law of the Earth Element
He completely fuses with the earth-element origin law upon reaching the Second Tier 43.
- Manifests a personal law domain marked by earthen-yellow patterns 43.
- Supplies the pure earth-element power required to infuse laws into reconstruction cards and stabilize their structures 47.
- Understands laws as a means of extracting a talent’s core essence and developing its potential. He explains this principle to Clones No. 5 and No. 6 when they underestimate their talents 15.
Shared Skills and Concealment
Xing Yao copies Invisibility to every clone and shares the team’s core skills during their initial upgrades 5.
- Clone No. 3 demonstrably uses Invisibility while following the suspicious buyer with Clone No. 2 13.
- The later law-related reshaping prevents assuming that all initially copied skills remain unchanged 15.
Resurrection
Reaching the First Tier binds him to Xing Yao’s mental world 15.
- Can resurrect there after a twenty-four-hour cooldown.
- His advancement also strengthens the mental world and stabilizes its laws 14 15.
Equipment / Items
- Two of Hearts mask: His identified organizational mask. Xing Yao also provides ordinary spare masks for errands and disguises 7.
- Earth armor cards: His first successful product. Tearing a card grants the user earth armor for half an hour; its itching side effect spreads through touch. The finished card is inky teal and dark gold, with neatly concentrated energy 9.
- Reconstruction cards: Assigned to him after his Second-Tier breakthrough. Unlike the group’s high-value combat cards, these low-margin earth-element products must be made individually to avoid losses from Resentment Point duplication 46 47 48.
Relationships
- Xing Yao — Creator and leader. Awakens his talent and funds his early advancement, but later assigns him the labor-intensive card production intended to finance everyone’s computers 5 9 15 47 49.
- Clone No. 1 — Fellow clone and ally in requesting computers. Alternates between praising his abilities and helping pressure him into unwanted production work 5 45 47.
- Clone No. 2 — Surveillance and black-market sales partner. They follow the suspicious buyer together and advance to the First Tier together 13 14 15.
- Clone No. 4 — Fellow clone who joins the effort to flatter him into taking responsibility for reconstruction cards 47.
- Clone No. 5 — Shares a brief bond over being overlooked and treated as a tool. Their mutual sympathy turns bittersweet when Clone No. 3 is told to make more cards to fund No. 5’s computer too 49.
- Clone No. 6 — Receives his explanation of strength amplification’s law-based potential; later adds mock encouragement while the others laugh at Clone No. 3’s workload 15 48.
