At first glance, there truly did not seem to be any danger in this room.

A wooden stool stood on each side of the desk. Four plates of food and four full bowls of white rice sat atop it, with two red chopsticks stuck into every bowl of rice like two incense sticks.
Even stranger, steam was still rising from the four dishes, as though they had only just been cooked.
"Chopsticks stuck into rice—that's how offerings are arranged for the dead." Yang Jian cast them a cold glance.
"The food is hot, but the rice is cold."
Li Yang walked over and cautiously tested the rice with a finger.
He could not feel any heat from it, while the steam from the four dishes billowed upward.
"There's a notebook. Is this the information we were looking for?"
Tong Qian pointed to a corner of the desk.
A notebook lay there. It was fairly thick and somewhat wrinkled, as if it had been used before.
"Close the door first," Yang Jian said.
Li Yang nodded, turned around, and shut the door to Room 100.
