As the president of the island nation's Spirit Extermination Society, President Mishima was certainly very busy under normal circumstances. Yet today, he had specifically made time to welcome Yang Jian, personally accompanying him and treating him to drinks. This was exceptionally generous treatment.
But the more accommodating he was, the more Yang Jian worried that this operation would not go so smoothly.
After all, risk and reward were proportional.
At the table, Mishima remained warm and respectful, occasionally flattering Yang Jian. Between the lines, he also subtly expressed his hope that Yang Jian would build more friendship and exchanges with the Spirit Extermination Society.
Yang Jian neither responded nor refused. When dealing with an old fox like this, the more he said, the more likely he was to make a mistake. He might as well honestly eat something, restore his energy, and prepare for what came next.
Keiko had been kneeling quietly beside him, but she proactively served Yang Jian food and introduced the dishes to him.
Meanwhile, preparations outside continued as they ate and drank.
Before long, a portable safe containing three pieces of ghost porcelain was delivered to Yang Jian.
"Mr. Yang, the items you requested have been prepared. The three accompanying team members are also on their way and should all arrive within half an hour. When would you like the operation to begin? Of course, everything will follow Mr. Yang's lead," President Mishima asked.
Yang Jian checked the time. "Since everything can be ready within half an hour, we'll begin at noon. The sooner this is resolved, the better. I don't want this matter dragging on forever. The Ghost Knocking Incident has too many uncertainties."
"Mr. Yang is indeed decisive. Choosing to cooperate with you was clearly the right decision," President Mishima said with a smile.
