"Ugh... my head hurts so much. Where am I?"
With a weak groan, Qi Ling woke up in bed.
He surveyed the completely unfamiliar surroundings, carefully recalling what had happened before, feeling as though he were lost in a fog.
He remembered that he seemed to have been carrying out some special mission, only to be surrounded by enemies. He should have used a bomb to take them down with him in the end, so how had he appeared here?
"You're awake. How are you feeling?" Just as Qi Ling was puzzling over this, a man came in from outside and asked him.
He had a short beard and looked about forty or fifty, with a peculiar air of languor and dejection about him. Though he was somewhat unkempt, it was not hard to tell that he must have been a handsome man.
"Who are you? Why am I here?" Qi Ling asked warily.
"Don't be nervous. I found you in the forest outside three days ago and brought you back," the man said.
"My name is Yu Xiaogang. Everyone calls me Grandmaster. You can call me that too."
"Grandmaster?" Qi Ling raised an eyebrow, but he did not let his guard down just because the man had saved him. "Thank you. If I get the chance someday, I'll definitely repay you."
As he spoke, Qi Ling tried to turn over and get out of bed to leave, only to unexpectedly tumble onto the floor.
"Are you all right? Be careful. Don't rush." Yu Xiaogang stepped forward to help Qi Ling up and settled him back onto the bed as he spoke.
"Your body hasn't recovered yet. You need more rest. I happen to have some medicine here to help you recuperate. I'll get it for you first."
Qi Ling, however, barely heard anything Yu Xiaogang said, because he was staring at his own body, lost in thought.
Whose tiny arms and legs were these? Whose frail body was this? Where were his brawny arms, broad enough for horses to gallop across? Where were his proud eight-pack abs?
Then Qi Ling turned his head and caught sight of himself in the mirror on the wall.
A little boy with black hair and black eyes sat there, a bewildered expression on his face, his delicate features filled with disbelief.
"I have no idea how a six-year-old child like you survived such serious injuries..."
Yu Xiaogang's voice faded into the distance, gradually confirming Qi Ling's guess. He had actually become a six-year-old child!
"What's going on? What happened to me? And this world seems different from the one I know!" Qi Ling pondered with a frown.
"And Yu Xiaogang, Yu Xiaogang... why does that name sound so familiar?"
"That's right, Yu Xiaogang! Isn't that the name of Tang San's teacher in Douluo?" Qi Ling said in sudden realization. "So that's it. Looks like I've transmigrated into Douluo!"
Although his work was unusual, Qi Ling was actually an avid fan of novels and anime. They were his only recreation outside of work!
Learning that he had actually arrived in the world of a novel made Qi Ling start to grow excited. After all, this counted as one of his dreams.
After this brief period of feeling his way around, Qi Ling could already control this body's movements. He slowly walked out of the house and saw a completely unfamiliar world before him.
"Where exactly is this place?" Qi Ling asked blankly.
"Oh, you can already get out of bed and walk?" Yu Xiaogang came over just then.
"Judging by how you're acting, could you have suffered a blow to the head and lost your memory?"
Qi Ling nodded. This was the most convenient explanation for now, and it also gave him a chance to ask Yu Xiaogang exactly where he was.
Through Yu Xiaogang's introduction, Qi Ling soon learned that this was a junior academy for training Soul Masters: Nuoding Academy.
As for Yu Xiaogang, he could be considered a special teacher here. He taught no classes, yet held a special position.
"Martial Souls? Looks like this really isn't my original world," Qi Ling said with a frown.
"To think something as melodramatic as transmigration would actually happen to me. I wonder if I'll be matched with some bizarre system too?"
[Ding-dong! Host's vital signs are stable. God-Level Selection System activated! Please choose from the following options. The system will continue operating once the selection is complete.] Option one: refuse to live in this world and transmigrate again. Reward: one journey through space-time. Option two: live in the world of the Douluo Continent with a new identity. Reward: Innate Full Soul Power talent.
A strange voice rang out in Qi Ling's mind, making him raise his eyebrows.
Has this mouth of mine been blessed? Whatever I say comes true.
Hmph, I'm not even afraid of death. Would I be afraid of a mere world like yours? Qi Ling thought to himself as he looked at the two options the system had given him.
Let's see just what kind of world this is! I'll treat it as giving myself a vacation.
[Ding-dong! Host has selected option two and received the reward: Innate Full Soul Power talent!]
All at once, Qi Ling felt a strange power suddenly flood his entire body!
This power was so astonishing and mighty that Qi Ling even felt his physical fitness was already approaching his peak condition!
"Soul Power really is a miraculous power!"
Qi Ling felt this miraculous power. In his current state, his Soul Power should have been equivalent to that of a level 10 Soul Master; he simply had yet to awaken his Martial Soul.
"Interesting. I'm starting to take an interest in this world!" Qi Ling said with a smile. "I wonder what my Martial Soul will be?"
