Qi Ling led the Qilin Team through the tournament finals while his teammates and rivals revealed new powers and alliances. After Shrek defeated Spirit Hall, the Qilin Team faced Night Raid, where Ye Lan charged Qi Ling as the match turned against his team.

• Shui Bing'er and Huo Wu used Immortal Herbs at the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well, balancing their powers and evolving their Martial Souls before returning to the tournament.
• Qi Ling defeated Bei Na in the ranking tournament’s final match, then recovered during the team’s seven-day rest before the finals.
• Qi Ling reunited with Bibi Dong at the Pope’s Palace, and Xiao Ye revealed herself as Night Raid Team’s captain with a hundred-thousand-year Soul Ring.
• Qi Ling forced his first finals opponents to surrender, while Shrek, Spirit Hall, and the other seeded teams advanced through their opening matches.
• Shrek defeated Star Luo’s team, but Spirit Hall’s Golden Generation overcame Bei Na with their Martial Soul Fusion Skill, and the Qilin Team drew Godwind Academy.
• Yu Feng and Feng Xiaotian combined Godwind Academy’s powers into a Two-Headed Demon Wolf, which fought Qi Ling until the remaining matches were postponed for three days.
• Huo Wu and Shui Bing'er defeated Overlord Academy by combining ice and fire, and Shrek beat Spirit Hall after Hu Liena hesitated to strike Tang San.
• The Qilin Team fought Night Raid in dense fog, with Luna pressuring Ye Lan and Qi Ling restraining Ye Mingzhu and Ye Mingyue before Ye Lan charged at him.

Qi Ling led the Qilin Team to victory, then helped Xiao Wu escape Qian Xunji’s attempt to capture her. After establishing his fief as Dragon's Glory’s first base, Qi Ling joined Qian Renxue in Doomsday Valley, where they intervened in a battle between two powerful Soul Beasts.

• Qi Ling swept through fourteen opponents to win the finals for the Qilin Team, then defeated Tang San and the Shrek Seven Devils in the final match.
• Qian Xunji attacked the tournament to seize Xiao Wu, but Xiao Ye and her companions teleported Xiao Wu away while Bibi Dong and the others confronted him.
• Qi Ling reunited with Xiao Wu, learned more about Sleepless City and Spirit Hall’s factions, and returned to Heaven Dou City with the tournament teams.
• Qi Ling absorbed the Divine Dragon Right Finger Bone, received a marquis title and became Xue Ke’s teacher, then took Xue Ke and Ning Rongrong to his fief.
• Qi Ling defeated Qian Zhongfeng and City Lord Wang’s forces, then spent a year developing the city into Dragon's Glory’s first base with Ning Rongrong and Xue Ke.
• Qi Ling traveled to Doomsday Canyon seeking a Fifth Soul Ring, met Qian Renxue, and joined her in training through the valley’s constant dangers.
• Qi Ling and Qian Renxue watched a Tyrant Dragon King and a Golden-Winged Great Peng Eagle fight until both were badly wounded, then attacked the king together.

Qi Ling and Qian Renxue gained Hundred Thousand Year Soul Rings before parting, and Qi Ling tempered his body with Tang Hao and completed the King's Trial with Jian Lan. Qi Ling later joined Qian Renxue and Jian Lan to investigate Sleepless City and approached Slaughter City through a hidden underground passage.

• Qi Ling killed the Golden-Winged Great Peng Eagle and helped Qian Renxue defeat the Tyrant Dragon King, after which both beasts sacrificed themselves to grant them Hundred Thousand Year Soul Rings.
• Qi Ling and Qian Renxue developed their new abilities and trained together for six months before leaving Doomsday Canyon.
• Qi Ling helped Tang San master the Disorder Splitting Wind Hammer and endured Tang Hao's eighty-one blows to rebuild and strengthen his body.
• Qi Ling forced Tang Hao back in a duel, but Qi Ling and Tang San stopped the fight after discovering the severity of Tang Hao's injuries.
• Qi Ling chose the Path of the King and recruited Jian Lan for the King's Trial after Chen Xin explained that her cultivation had stalled.
• Qi Ling and Jian Lan completed five trials, and Qi Ling obtained the Xuanyuan Sword while Jian Lan overcame her inner obstacle and later broke through to rank 50.
• Qian Renxue asked Qi Ling to investigate Sleepless City in Slaughter City, and Qi Ling defeated Tuo Lei after he questioned Qi Ling's ability.
• Qi Ling, Qian Renxue, and Jian Lan killed attackers at the entrance, refused the Bloody Mary test, and forced the shopkeeper to guide them toward Slaughter City.

Qi Ling and his companions entered Slaughter City, built up their victories, and set out across Hell Road with Tang San and Hu Liena. Qi Ling’s Blood Devil Emperor power consumed the blood pool and devastated Slaughter City, leaving him with a greatly strengthened fifth Soul Ring but still short of the power needed to defeat the old dragon.

• Qi Ling overwhelmed Terror Knight Kogath, entered Slaughter City with Qian Renxue and Jian Lan, and established himself by defeating anyone who challenged him.
• Qi Ling encountered Hu Liena and Tang San in the arena, while Xiao Ye joined his group and secretly pursued her clan’s mission.
• After a year of fighting, Qi Ling, Xiao Ye, Tang San, and Hu Liena each reached a hundred victories, rejected the King of Slaughter’s offer, and entered Hell Road.
• Xiao Ye brought Qian Renxue, Jian Lan, Ye Mingzhu, and Ye Mingyue through a portal, and the group crossed Hell Road aboard Vimana while Tang San and Hu Liena completed their trials.
• Qi Ling battled the Lord of the Blood Pool beneath the cavern, transformed into the Blood Devil Emperor, and devoured the creature while Xiao Ye and Qian Renxue fought Luo Ping’s Law Enforcement Team.
• The Blood Devil Emperor suppressed the Lord of the Blood Pool and gave Qi Ling a fifth Soul Ring as the blood pool’s energy weakened Hell Road and Slaughter City.
• Xiao Ye carried Tang San and Hu Liena past the Blood Devil Emperor, and the King of Slaughter entered Hell Road before the Blood Devil Emperor hurled him back.
• The Blood Devil Emperor absorbed the blood pool’s power into Qi Ling’s fifth Soul Ring, raising it to a Hundred Thousand Year Soul Ring and then strengthening it further until Qi Ling’s body could bear no more.
