Kazu and the others headed straight for the auction house entrance, where several auction house staff members were checking invitations and letting people in once they were confirmed to be correct.
There were hardly any people left at the main entrance; the only people around were bodyguards waiting for their bosses to come out.
"Hey, is this for real? They even invited such a notorious pirate?"
"This auction house is truly powerful; they even give face to monsters like this."
"God bless me, I hope everything goes well."
Everyone made way for Kazu and his group, and those who were jostled didn't complain at all.
In the past few days, news of the arrival of the Blond Hair Pirates has become common knowledge throughout the Sabaody Archipelago.
Those bodyguards must have memorized the appearance of these dangerous individuals perfectly; almost none of them wouldn't recognize Kazu and his men.
"This... sir, please show me your invitation."
The staff member at the door was a young man who had mustered up his courage to ask about the Kazu.
Kazu, with a kind smile, said, "What a pity, my invitation was stolen yesterday."
"Or, I can give you another one?"
After saying that, Kazu pulled out Muramasa again, which scared the manager standing behind him so much that he almost jumped out of his skin and quickly stepped forward to slap the waiter.
"My esteemed guest, this is truly unfortunate news. It's all that damned thief's fault."
"Please welcome our distinguished guests to the auction. We will be happy to serve you."
The manager hadn't expected the young waiter to be so brave. He had been reporting to the staff inside the venue and hadn't looked around for a moment when he almost got sent to see his grandmother.
What angered him even more was that the invitation list was in their hands; didn't they have any idea whether the other party had received an invitation or not?
Knowing this already, why are you still asking? Isn't that just making things difficult for the other person and disrespecting them?
The manager knows this stuff all too well; these big shots usually just need connections, so just let them through.
Unless it's a force that's mortal enemies of the boss behind you, requiring the boss's personal approval and verification before deciding whether to approve or disapprove.
The auction house acted quickly; since all the seats and the VIP rooms on the second floor were already full, only a few seats reserved for the Celestial Dragons remained empty.
But even if the auction house had a hundred lives, they wouldn't dare release the slots. If Celestial Dragons who just wanted to browse the auction came and found the slots were gone, their lives would be over.
The auction house hurriedly brought out several luxurious sofas and placed them at the very front, even above the first row, to highlight the status of the Blond Hair Pirates and their sincerity.
After Kazu and the others entered the venue, the auction had just begun. The auctioneer held the first item up for auction that day: a valuable deep red gemstone necklace.
"Even the Blond Hair Pirates is here?"
For a moment, even the gemstone necklace in the auctioneer's hands was overshadowed by Kazu and his group, and everyone's attention was focused on the front row.
" Crimson Passionate Love worth 12 million Beli per play. Is there anyone willing to offer a higher price? If not, it will be..."
"13 million Beli!"
Kazu immediately picked up the bidding paddle that was placed to the side and added 1 million Beli.
It's not that Kazu didn't want to bid 12 million and 1 Beli, but the other side always raised the bid by at least 1 million Beli. If he forced an extra 1 Beli, it wouldn't sound good if word got out.
After Kazu made his bid, he waited a while and found that no one else dared to bid.
"13 million Beli once, 13 million Beli twice, 13 million Beli three times... Congratulations to our customer in position zero for obtaining this Crimson Passionate Love."
Seeing that no one dared to bid against Kazu, the auctioneer simply sped up and quickly moved on to the next item.
"This is for Hancock. I haven't bought you anything since you started following me."
Thank you, darling.
Hancock clung to Kazu's arm, pressing her stunningly beautiful face against Kazu shoulder, as if she wanted nothing more than to sit on Kazu.
It wasn't that she lacked that little thing, but rather that Gao Kazu had always been thinking of her.
Hancock: Sure enough, darling, this is the start of a proposal. Should I say yes, or yes, or yes?
Oh dear, I'm so shy.
Robin and Makino already have so much jewelry that they can't wear it all; what they're really interested in now is what interesting items will appear at the auction.
"Next up is our second item for auction..."
Time passed slowly, but the super-strong alloy Drew had hoped for did not appear here.
Perhaps this auction is of a higher standard; while alloys are something we usually see, it's rare to see them at this particular auction.
