Bai Yu defeated Oración Seis, drew Grimoire Heart’s attention, and faced Gildarts as his strength continued to grow. As Fairy Tail began the S-Class trial on Tenrou Island, Grimoire Heart prepared to confront the guild and Acnologia headed for Ishgar.

• Bai Yu killed Chairman Zero and the rest of Oración Seis was revealed defeated, while the assembled guilds learned that Bai Yu had taken them down alone.
• Bai Yu confronted Ultear, let her return to Grimoire Heart with a warning, and gave her a Senzu Bean that awakened Jellal.
• Bai Yu fought Gildarts, carved a vast scar into the earth with Divine Swordsmanship, and later received Makarov’s approval to enter the S-Class Mage exam.
• Acnologia learned that a new Dragon-Slaying Mage had appeared on Ishgar and set out to confront him as Fairy Tail sailed for Tenrou Island.
• Ultear warned Hades and the Seven Kin of Purgatory that Acnologia was coming, but Hades doubted the warning and continued with Grimoire Heart’s plans.
• Makarov began the S-Class trial, and the candidates raced to Tenrou Island by boat, magic, and flight while Bai Yu crossed the sea on foot.
• Erza conceded her trial stage to Bai Yu, and Laxus surrendered on the next stage, leaving Bai Yu to continue toward Gildarts, who guarded the third stage.
