" Shinsei, long time no see! Wow~ you've become even more handsome!" The nurse was very enthusiastic when she saw Shinsei.
"Really? Sister Mia, don't lie to me." Shinsei responded to the nurse.
Thanks to his teacher's prestige at Konoha Hospital, Shinsei, as a student, thrives there.
Shinsei opened Tsunade's office in the hospital, walked to a corner, Hand Seals, and pressed his hands against the wall.
A barrier opened, revealing a wooden door. Pulling open the door, one stepped down the stone stairs.
The corridor was lined with rooms on both sides.
This is Shinsei's lab. I haven't been here for a month. I wonder if Sakura has created the clone yet.
Shinsei stood in front of a huge glass jar, inside which a white figure was submerged in nutrient solution.
His appearance does resemble Shinsei somewhat.
But why are the test subject's limbs atrophied and underdeveloped?
The door creaked open, and Sakura walked in carrying a folder.
"It's all your fault!" Sakura slammed the folder on the table. "If you hadn't disappeared for a month, how could I have cloned such a useless piece of trash!"
Shinsei looked at the clone who looked somewhat like him and felt a little strange.
He felt that Sakura was making veiled accusations, but he had no evidence.
The door creaked open again, Sasuke walked in.
"Don't you have to go to the Anbu?" Shinsei didn't recall the Anbu having such freedom.
"Inspect." Sasuke stared at the human body inside the glass jar.
The so-called inspection is just another way of saying surveillance. During the reigns of the three generations, the Anbu would take turns doing this.
After Tsunade, the inspection team truly became an inspection team.
Of course, Sasuke so free must mean he's skipping work. No wonder he had time to spar with Minato yesterday.
"When are you going to that world?" Sasuke asked.
"How about in a few days? Do you want to go too?"
Sasuke nodded.
"What? Which world? What are you talking about?" Sakura looked up at the two of them suspiciously.
"It's alright, we're planning to go on a mission." Shinsei didn't intend to tell Sakura about the other Shinobi World so soon.
Telling Sakura was the same as telling Ino, and then Shikamaru, Choji, and the others found out too, and soon the news spread throughout Konoha.
"Don't take Sasuke to any shady places!" Sakura glared at Shinsei and issued a stern warning.
Sasuke turned around and looked at Sakura calmly, his eyes revealing no other emotion.
" Sasuke!" Sakura quickly grabbed Sasuke's arm. "That's not what I meant!"
Well, it seems the two of them are making good progress. It seems he really understands what it takes to carry on the family legacy.
However, I once told Sasuke to marry more wives and have more children, but I don't know if he listened to me.
Shinsei turned to check on the progress of the cloning.
It must have been tough on Sakura; she managed to create a defective product using only the information Shinsei left behind.
However, failure is failure, Shinsei didn't blame Sakura at all.
I didn't understand much of the content in these materials myself, and I could only read them verbatim.
However, he will soon bring Orochimaru from another world, and he believes that his laboratory will soon have a person in charge.
Shinsei and Sasuke left the lab, leaving Sakura alone to continue their cloning experiments.
Sakura becomes unusually easy to talk to whenever Sasuke is around.
"What do you want to do in that world?" Shinsei asked Sasuke.
"I don't know," Sasuke shook his head. "I don't know what I can do, I just want to go and see."
Shinsei didn't say aloud, "You want to see your parents in that world, don't you?"
Having roughly understood Sasuke's thoughts, he realized that his parents had been killed and his entire clan wiped out. Now, upon suddenly learning that there were still Uchiha clan members in another world, he would naturally want to go and see them.
However, people in parallel worlds, even if they have the same personality, appearance, and even DNA, are ultimately not the same person.
" Shinsei!" Ino's voice came from behind.
Shinsei turned his head and saw Ino and Kushina Uzumaki walking hand in hand, strolling through the streets.
The two of them each held an ice cream cone, licking it sweetly, while Minato Namikaze behind them carried bags of various sizes.
" Ino, don't you have any missions to do?" Shinsei, somewhat puzzled. Everyone seemed so free.
Kushina Uzumaki and Minato don't need to do missions in this world, but Ino is a registered ninja.
"We haven't needed to do anything these past couple of days. There are so few missions now. I heard a group of ninjas from Sunagakure are taking on missions like crazy."
Ino didn't seem worried about not getting any missions; on the contrary, she found the days without missions quite enjoyable.
"The ninjas from the Sunagakure?" Shinsei knew that because of his disappearance, the Sunagakure had sent Gaara, Kankuro, and Temari as hostages.
I didn't expect them to be doing missions here too. This will reduce the number of missions the Konoha Ninja themselves have to complete.
An idea popped into Shinsei's mind: Could it be that his teacher Gaara and the others into accepting missions and then withheld their mission funds?
Shinsei thought about it more and more and felt that he was getting closer to the truth. Only this could explain why Gaara and the other two were taking on so many missions.
In a peculiar place, there are towering trees, mist everywhere, babbling streams, and long waterfalls.
This is Mount Myōboku, one of the Three Great Sage Lands.
A Toad as tall as a person, its tongue Issen, snatched a huge worm into its mouth.
It sniffed and found a white scroll in the grass.
Quack quack.
It picked up the scroll and ran quickly into the distance.
The scroll was passed from Toad, eventually ending up in the hands of a short Toad with a white beard.
The old frog took out his glasses and put them on his head; the smell from the scroll made him feel nauseous.
"What an annoying snake!"
He unrolled the scroll and began to read it carefully. After a while, he looked up and sighed.
" Fukasaku! Why does this house smell like a stinking snake!" A red old Toad, wearing an apron and carrying a spatula, stormed out of the house.
" Shima, the faceless immortal that the Great Sage is looking for has appeared." Fukasaku handed the scroll to Shima.
"So you're Tsunade-chan's disciple?" Shima and Fukasaku a glance, then Shima sighed. "Let the Great Toad Sage worry about that."
The two arrived at a large hall.
A large orange Toad sat on a huge stone chair, its eyes closed, its long breaths echoing throughout the hall.
" Great Toad Sage!" Shima shouted at the giant Toad.
" Great Toad Sage!" Fukasaku shouted loudly to the giant Toad.
Seeing that the giant Toad remained motionless, Fukasaku and Shima jumped directly onto the Toad's face and used their hands to lift its eyelids.
"Ah, my little frog, don't go." The orange Toad muttered.
The Great Toad Sage focused his two eyes in the middle and clearly saw the little Toad on his face.
"Oh, it's Shima."
" Great Toad Sage, the faceless sage you've been looking for has appeared." Fukasaku tossed the scroll in his hand into the air.
The scroll hovered in mid-air, slowly unfurled by an invisible force.
"This smells like a stinky snake, it's been a long time," the giant Toad said, glancing at the information in the scroll.
After a long while, the Great Toad Sage exhaled, "Go Jiraiya!"
" Great Sage, is there anything we should do?" Fukasaku asked.
The Great Toad Sage slowly shook his head:
"No, let's not do anything. Let's see what Shinsei's attitude is first. Those scoundrels will be more anxious than we are."
