"I'm sorry, I've lost my way in life." Kakashi suddenly appeared in front of them, smiling as he apologized, but there was no sincerity in his words.
"Great!" Naruto, unusually, didn't blame Kakashi. Instead, he raised his arm. " Team 7, assemble and attack!"
He suddenly looked at Shinsei beside him, and immediately pointed at Shinsei, shouting, " Shinsei, aren't you in Team 7? Why are you coming with us?"
Shinsei shrugged. "I'm really sorry, I'm not in Team 7. But since Naruto has a problem with that, I'll just cross Team 7 off the list of envoys from the Land of Water."
Naruto looked at Kakashi and asked, " Kakashi-sensei, Shinsei is just bragging, isn't he?"
"Uh..." Kakashi said seriously, " Shinsei is the Hokage's assistant, so he certainly has that authority. If the Lord Hokage doesn't object."
Naruto's eyes widened as an image flashed in his mind of Granny Tsunade Shinsei Tsunade.
"Damn it, why won't the Granny Hokage let me be her assistant!" Naruto muttered in dissatisfaction.
"Idiot." Sasuke turned his head away disdainfully.
Upon hearing Sasuke's words, Naruto immediately objected, pointing his finger at Sasuke's nose. "You expressionless idiot, you're the one who's the moron!"
"Lowest!" Sasuke rolled his eyes and said calmly.
Unfounded accusations often fail to provoke anger, but the truth always manages to break down defenses.
Being called "the worst student" is almost a taboo for Naruto; mentioning it always makes him furious.
Naruto's face turned bright red as he tried to find a retort, but suddenly he burst into laughter, pointing at Sasuke and saying:
"A bow, hahaha!"
Sasuke's eyes turned dangerous when he heard that word.
Sakura, still confused, asked, "What bow?"
Upon hearing Sakura's words, Naruto quickly put down his backpack and took out a photograph. The photograph showed a boy with his head wrapped in thick gauze, and a large bow tied around his head with the gauze.
Judging from his build and the clan crest on his clothes, this boy is indeed Sasuke.
Sakura's reaction was different from the mockery Naruto had expected; instead, she asked Sasuke with concern when he had been injured.
This Naruto. Watching Sakura showing such care for Sasuke, he stood there holding the photo and suddenly felt a little lonely.
"Hey!" Naruto shouted, "Why aren't we leaving yet?"
Shinsei said somewhat helplessly, "Because we still have to wait for someone."
As the group was talking, a pretty little girl, about seven or eight years old, with blonde pigtails, yawned and walked towards them.
She wore a slightly oversized green robe with a large "gambling" character on the back, and her gait looked somewhat arrogant.
The little girl walked up to the group and snapped her fingers, "Let's go!"
Seeing the group following behind the little girl, acting like they were her underlings, Naruto froze on the spot. He ran up and asked:
"Who is she? Why are we bringing along a loser?"
The blonde little girl frowned slightly and clenched her fists.
Shinsei silently curled the corners of his mouth, as if anticipating some scene to unfold.
Sure enough, Naruto ran ahead, pointed at the little girl's nose, and shouted:
"Hey, who are you? Why are you following us?"
With a loud "bang," a thin, frail fist slammed into Naruto's head with tremendous force.
"Ouch!" Naruto clutched his head and crouched down. Although his brain was often not very sharp, his body's memory was strong enough.
This familiar pain made him instantly realize who the little girl in front of him was.
Granny Tsunade!
"Idiot!" Sasuke's voice rang out immediately from the side.
" Sasuke, I'm going to kill you!"
The group didn't need to rush, so they walked at a very leisurely pace.
Technological development in the Shinobi World is extremely uneven, so the Land of Fire still retains a large area of natural scenery.
While appreciating the natural scenery, Shinsei also realized that this was the reason why the technology of the Shinobi World had not been popularized among the general public.
The Shinobi World's system is also very peculiar. Despite having the military power to dominate the entire country, the ninja villages in various countries are still subject to the control of the daimyo.
Daimyo and nobles used money to restrict the development of ninja villages, and strangely enough, this method was effective.
The Sunagakure in the Land of Wind is tightly controlled by the Daimyo. The village's leader, a powerful figure, has to collect gold dust to supplement the village's income.
This only works in a place like the Shinobi World where traditional values are deeply ingrained. If it were Shinsei's previous life, the Kage, who probably possessed the strongest fighting power, would have announced "I'm not eating beef" a few days later.
Because the Land of Fire was relatively wealthy, the residents we saw along the way, although dressed simply, were generally well-fed.
As the group approached the border, more and more people with thin faces appeared.
The sun was about to set, Shinsei stood atop a large tree, looking into the distance at a village.
He jumped down from the tree and said to the crowd, "There's a village ahead; we can rest there tonight."
"Yay!" Sakura jumped up excitedly upon hearing this.
As a girl, she didn't like this kind of outdoor environment. Right now, all she wanted was to take a hot shower.
As the saying goes, "Looking at a mountain makes a horse run itself to death," and with everyone traveling at a leisurely pace, they finally arrived at the village before nightfall.
The village was quiet and lifeless; the sun was about to set, yet there wasn't a single light.
"Hey, is anyone there?" Naruto rushed into the village.
Shinsei pushed open the door of a house and found that it had been uninhabited for a long time. The house was covered in dust, and the corners were filled with cobwebs.
The house was too dilapidated, so the group continued their search for a relatively intact one.
The gate to a courtyard was tightly closed, but Shinsei pushed it open and found it to be relatively clean inside.
Kakashi touched the dust on the stove in the house with his fingertips, then turned and walked into another room, reaching out to push a standing wardrobe.
Seeing Kakashi's actions, Shinsei realized what was going on. He noticed that the dust on the wardrobe was unevenly distributed, indicating that someone had clearly moved it.
Naruto stepped forward and helped Kakashi move the wardrobe aside, revealing a doorway about half a person's height.
"No, don't kill us!" a terrified young woman's voice came from inside.
Shinsei's Sharingan had already quietly opened. Through the crack, he saw a girl in tattered clothes holding a seven or eight-year-old boy, squatting in a corner, shivering.
Naruto went inside, took out a flashlight from his backpack, and upon seeing the situation before him, immediately waved his hand and said:
"Big sister, don't be afraid. We're not bad people; we're Konoha ninjas."
Upon hearing the word "ninja," the girl's face paled with even greater terror, and the little boy in her arms broke free from her embrace.
He spread his arms to block the woman's view and said menacingly to the crowd:
"Don't hurt my sister!"
