Momotaro stepped out from the crowd, looked at the obese lord lying on the ground, and said through gritted teeth:
"Ninja lord, I have a complaint! It was him! It was the lord, not Yamagami Mima, who ordered his samurai to kill my eldest son!"
As Momotaro recounts his story, a long-forgotten incident is brought to light.
The matter is not complicated: Momotaro had an eldest son in his early years. The eldest son grew up with a girl and they later got married.
However, while the couple was working in the fields, the lord happened to pass by and saw them. He took a fancy to his eldest son's wife, so he sent his warriors to capture her and bring her to his mansion.
When she was released, she was covered in wounds and on the verge of death. She died from her injuries not long after.
The eldest son tried to reason with the lord, but the lord's guard chopped off his neck with a single blow.
More villagers stepped forward to testify for Momotaro. Konohamaru had a table brought in and began to record the lord's crimes one by one.
More and more villagers stood up to denounce the lord's crimes, and the crowd was so enraged that they didn't even have enough blank sheets of paper to write on.
The trial lasted from noon into the afternoon, and the crimes of the lord and his family, including his daughter and his guards, were too numerous to list.
This trial has been extremely brief. If we were to investigate every single detail, it would probably take several days and nights to finish. Shinsei doesn't have that much time to waste here, and Konohamaru doesn't want to waste any more time either.
As the sun sets, its golden-red rays bathe the faces of the crowd, making them appear radiant.
Konohamaru had already written down the charges and was about to read them aloud when Shinsei appeared behind him and took the judgment from Konohamaru's hands:
"Let me do it. You're too young to shoulder this responsibility."
Shinsei unfolded the white paper covered with black writing, looked at the now quiet crowd, and said, "In the name of Shinsei, I hereby render the following judgment against Yamagami Mima, his daughter, and his guards:"
Yamagami Mima, as a nobleman, oppressed the villagers, levied heavy taxes, and harbored bandits. He was responsible for 15 deaths and was sentenced to death, which was carried out immediately.
Yamagami Kinuko, relying on her father's power to oppress the people, was guilty of three murders and was sentenced to death, to be carried out immediately.
Yamagami Mima 20 guards, who helped their lord kill civilians, rob money and grain, and committed all sorts of atrocities, were sentenced to death and executed immediately.
The above judgment was made by Shinsei. If anyone disagrees, they can come to Konoha to find me. Anyone who dares to overturn my judgment will be punished by me.
After hearing Shinsei announce the crimes and the trial, the villagers were silent for a moment, then erupted into a frenzy of shouts. Shinsei walked to the lord's side, removed the towel from his mouth, and asked, "Any last words?"
Yamagami Mima gritted his teeth and said, "You have no right to judge me! I want to see the Daimyo!"
Shinsei smiled and said to the lord, "Don't worry, if your daimyo is obedient, you won't see him for now. If he's disobedient, I believe you'll see him very soon."
A blue Chakra sword appeared in Shinsei's fingers. With a flick of his wrist, Yamagami Mima's head rolled to the ground.
Upon seeing that Yamagami Mima was finally dead, some villagers knelt on the ground and wailed loudly.
Shinsei handed over all the remaining tasks to his students.
A ninja needs to see blood to develop his character.
He walked into the mansion and entered a room.
Xin and Hiruko there. Hiruko, still somewhat incredulous, asked, "You just killed the lord like that?"
Shinsei shrugged and retorted, "Otherwise what? Are we going to save it for the New Year?"
Hiruko, a fellow Tsunade of Tsunade's generation, still held a certain degree of awe for these officials and nobles. He never expected that this young man would kill a nobleman without saying a word.
He didn't know what to say at that moment, only that young people these days were truly fearless.
Shinsei looked at the silent Hiruko and said with a smile, "Don't be afraid. I won't kill anyone without a reason, nor do I have any reason to hurt you."
The experiments you've conducted haven't resulted in any deaths yet, and I'm not willing to pursue the matter further. Once we arrive in Konoha, there will be plenty of suitable experimental subjects."
Hiruko hesitated. The boy in front of him was too terrifying. Although he had heard of the boy's genius, he only realized when he faced him that " Konoha's strongest genius" was far from enough to describe Shinsei's strength. In an instant, before he could even react, he was subdued by Shinsei.
The boy didn't intend to kill him; instead, he wanted to invite him to join his experimental team.
To be honest, he was conflicted. Tsunade and Jiraiya currently in Konoha, and he hadn't yet achieved anything, so naturally he didn't want to face these old friends.
Seeing his hesitation, Shinsei added fuel to the fire, "Although Orochimaru in this world is dead, Orochimaru from another world is still in Konoha."
He's much younger than you, you can't possibly be inferior to him, can you?
Hiruko his teeth, glaring at Shinsei: "Fine, I agree!"
Shinsei smiled smugly. With this person's addition, much of his research could be accelerated.
He had just inquired about Hiruko's Chimera Technique —the intended effect of this Ninjutsu is to bring together five different Kekkei Genkai into one person.
However, in Shinsei's view, this fusion was the greatest waste of the Chimera Technique.
The ideal state of this Ninjutsu is to fuse the five Chakra natures into one, forming Kekkei Mōra.
Of course, this method still needs improvement; it cannot be performed by the current Chimera Technique.
Shinsei then looked at Shin, who was looking a little nervous, and comforted him with a smile, "Don't be afraid. The Three-Tomoe Sharingan on your body wasn't transplanted by yourself. Konoha won't hold you accountable."
As for your desire to transplant Uchiha bloodline, that's perfectly fine too.
As long as it doesn't harm the Uchiha, Sasuke has always been magnanimous in matters of this sort.
However, my suggestion is that instead of transforming yourself into Uchiha, you should marry an Uchiha wife and have a pure Uchiha.
Xin's gaze was blank, and it was unclear what he was thinking.
For the next two days, Shinsei worked with his disciple to handle the aftermath of the trial of Yamagami Mima.
He divided all the lord's land equally among the surrounding villagers, stipulating that only 10% of the land would be taxed annually as a cost of maintaining administration. In addition, he allowed the surrounding villagers to elect an administrator to replace the duties of an official.
Momotaro, as the initiator of these events, was elected by the villagers as the first administrator.
When they were about to leave, many villagers gathered at the gate of the mansion to see them off, some with tears in their eyes, calling out Shinsei's name.
These people had already figured out Shinsei's identity and knew he was the next Hokage. Their previous worries about retaliation from officials became insignificant in the face of his Hokage status.
After Shinsei and his group left, some well-meaning people engraved their deeds on a stone tablet to record them. Later, someone built a temple on the stone tablet.
Later, as Shinsei's reputation grew, it also became a place where immortals displayed their divine signs.
Even one of his disciples had a statue placed on either side of him, becoming a fairy attendant of the immortal.
Outside Konoha, Shinsei and his group appeared at the gate. Kotetsu Hagane and Izumo Kamizuki both had strange expressions when they saw Shinsei, but they still went up to greet him.
Shinsei greeted them and then quickly headed towards the Hokage Building.
