Ch. 501Memories

Kukurihime-no-Kami absorbed Amenominaka’s memories and witnessed the Ōtsutsuki Clan’s ancient defeat of Takamagahara’s gods, sacrificing his chance at resurrection. After absorbing the memories Katsuyu had collected, Kukurihime regained her ability to see the river of time and glimpsed two faint silhouettes.

  • Omoikane-no-Kami told Kukurihime-no-Kami how Ōtsutsuki Isshiki and the Ōtsutsuki Clan defeated Amenominaka and Takamagahara’s ancient gods.
  • Kukurihime-no-Kami touched Amenominaka’s forehead and witnessed the battle in his memories, including his death at Isshiki’s hands.
  • Kukurihime-no-Kami’s absorption of the memories drained Amenominaka’s remaining life force and ended his chance at resurrection.
  • Omoikane-no-Kami summoned Katsuyu, who gave him the memories she had collected, and he told Kukurihime-no-Kami to consume them.
  • Kukurihime-no-Kami absorbed the memories and regained her ability to perceive the river of time, where she glimpsed two faint silhouettes.

Ch. 502Amaterasu to abdicate?

Madara defeated Takemikazuchi-no-Kami, but Shinsei seized and sealed the power that spilled from him before Madara could consume it. Back at Amaterasu Palace, the gathered gods demanded that Amaterasu explain herself and abdicate, and she emerged from the shrine to face them.

  • Takemikazuchi-no-Kami attacked Madara with Amenonuhoko, but Madara used Limbo: Border Jail to strike and immobilize him.
  • Shinsei sealed the white mass of Takemikazuchi-no-Kami’s power, then escaped with Kaguya while Madara pursued them in anger.
  • The gods gathered outside Amaterasu Palace and questioned why Amaterasu had not sent reinforcements when Takemikazuchi-no-Kami died.
  • The crowd began shouting for Amaterasu to abdicate, and the shrine doors opened.
  • Amaterasu stepped out before the gods and calmly asked whether they were talking about her.

Ch. 503The gods divided

Amaterasu confronted the gods of Takamagahara and demonstrated her overwhelming power when Futsunushi-no-Kami and Ōyamatsumi challenged her. She relinquished her position as chief deity, while Hall Master Shūma rejected her orders and left the gods to choose their own path.

  • Ōyamatsumi questioned Amaterasu for failing to protect Takamagahara, and Futsunushi-no-Kami accused her of abandoning its gods.
  • Futsunushi-no-Kami attacked Amaterasu, but her black flames melted his sword and burned away half his arm.
  • Ōyamatsumi attacked with stone pillars, but Amaterasu's black flames erased them and the surrounding ground.
  • Amaterasu declared that she was no longer Takamagahara's chief deity and left the gods to decide whether to fight, surrender, die, or live.
  • Hall Master Shūma condemned Amaterasu for her rule and said he would no longer obey her, then walked away as the temple doors closed.

Ch. 504The tragedy of Takamagahara

After Amaterasu’s abdication, Takamagahara’s gods argued over whether to fight, destroy the God Tree, submit to Shinsei, or leave. As the gods scattered, Ninigi-no-Mikoto blamed Shinsei for Takamagahara’s collapse and set out to find him.

  • Ame-no-Tajikarao-no-Kami urged the gods to fight, while Futodama no Mikoto, Ōyamatsumi-no-Kami, Konohanasakuya-hime, Ame no Uzume no Mikoto, and Sukuna Hikona no Mikoto proposed different ways forward.
  • Hall Master Shūma told the gods to choose their own paths, and Takamagahara fractured as they dispersed.
  • Ninigi-no-Mikoto arrived at the temple, found it empty, and blamed Ame-no-Oshihomimi-no-Mikoto for failing to stop Amaterasu’s departure.
  • Ame-no-Oshihomimi-no-Mikoto restrained Ninigi-no-Mikoto with weeds, then released him and said the events were not his fault.
  • Ninigi-no-Mikoto blamed Shinsei, summoned White Snake with a scroll, and ordered it to take him to Shinsei.

Ch. 505Refining the divine artifact

Shinsei examined the divine powers he had taken from Takemikazuchi-no-Kami, deciding to postpone absorbing the lightning ability while he refined the true Kusanagi Sword. He began circulating his qi through the sword as it resisted him.

  • Kaguya built snowmen while Shinsei recovered from escaping Madara Uchiha.
  • Shinsei examined the sealed Kusanagi Sword and Takemikazuchi-no-Kami's lightning ability, which he called Mikata Raijin.
  • Shinsei decided not to absorb Mikata Raijin until he understood the risks of divine abilities changing a person's personality or will.
  • Shinsei released the true Kusanagi Sword from its seal and tested its resistance to his chakra.
  • Shinsei sat down and circulated qi through the Kusanagi Sword to refine it, but the sword struggled violently.

Ch. 506Going Fearlessly to His Death in Ignorance

Shinsei continued struggling to master the Kusanagi Sword before Ninigi-no-Mikoto confronted him, blaming him for Takamagahara’s collapse and provoking him with threats against humanity. When Ninigi-no-Mikoto charged, Shinsei killed him with the Kusanagi Sword.

  • Shinsei poured more Qi into the resisting Kusanagi Sword until he put it away in its scroll.
  • White Snake brought Ninigi-no-Mikoto to Shinsei and Kaguya on the snowy ridge.
  • Ninigi-no-Mikoto blamed Shinsei for his losses and attacked him, but Shinsei easily stopped him.
  • Ninigi-no-Mikoto threatened to slaughter humans and Shinsei’s loved ones, while Kaguya offered to kill him.
  • Shinsei stepped in front of Kaguya and beheaded Ninigi-no-Mikoto with the Kusanagi Sword.

Ch. 507The Poison of Emotion: Kotoamatsukami

Shinsei recognized that Ninigi-no-Mikoto’s death had exposed a dangerous emotional toxin, so he planned to withdraw with Kaguya rather than become entangled in Takamagahara’s conflict. Meanwhile, Takamagahara’s deities split up to pursue separate paths, and Amaterasu returned with Kukurihime-no-Kami and Omoikane-no-Kami, confronting Omoikane about what she hated most about him.

  • Shinsei suppressed the murderous emotions stirred by Ninigi-no-Mikoto’s death and decided to avoid fighting more immortals while the emotional toxin threatened to accumulate.
  • Shinsei planned to hide with Kaguya in a secluded place, though he suspected that withdrawing might be what the unseen instigator wanted.
  • Takamagahara’s deities argued over Shinsei, Madara Uchiha, the God Tree, and whether to flee, until Hall Master Shūma urged them to choose their own paths for Takamagahara’s survival.
  • The deities dispersed in different directions, with Ōyamatsumi-no-Kami heading toward the God Tree and Sukuna Hikona no Mikoto leaving for the lower realm.
  • Amaterasu returned with Kukurihime-no-Kami and Omoikane-no-Kami, and Omoikane remarked that he hoped Madara Uchiha liked his gift.
  • Amaterasu asked Omoikane what he thought she hated most about him.

Ch. 508Making a moon for you

Omoikane-no-Kami used the white snake’s memories to learn about Shinsei and Madara, then planned to make Madara stronger as his pawn. Under a moonless sky, Kaguya decided to create a moon for Shinsei.

  • Amaterasu condemned Omoikane-no-Kami for manipulating others and threatened to kill him if Takamagahara fell.
  • The white snake reported that Shinsei had killed Ninigi-no-Mikoto and left with Kaguya, then offered its memories to Omoikane-no-Kami.
  • Kukurihime-no-Kami examined the memories and predicted that Madara would guard the God Tree, while she remained uncertain about Shinsei’s future.
  • Omoikane-no-Kami decided to send Madara a gift of godly powers so he could grow strong enough to face the Ōtsutsuki Clan.
  • Kaguya told Shinsei she wanted to give him a moon, then used Chibaku Tensei to raise a growing black sphere into the sky.

Ch. 509The moon

Kaguya created a moon with Chibaku Tensei while protecting the animals and land around Shinsei, then asked whether he would still return to his homeland. The new moon drew the attention of Madara Uchiha, the toads of Mount Myōboku, and the gods of Takamagahara, where Omoikane-no-Kami suggested it could serve as a medium for Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto’s ability.

  • Kaguya used Chibaku Tensei to raise a sphere into the sky, protecting nearby animals as the earth broke apart.
  • Kaguya gathered more lifeless land to make the moon resemble the one Shinsei remembered, then asked whether he would still go home.
  • Madara Uchiha recognized Kaguya’s power and warned that he would kill her if she tried to take the God Tree’s fruit.
  • Gamamaru told the frightened toads at Mount Myōboku that Kaguya had made the moon and that they could only wait for fate’s guidance.
  • Amaterasu and Kukurihime-no-Kami watched the moon from Takamagahara as Omoikane-no-Kami suggested it could serve as a medium for Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto’s ability.

Ch. 510Who Wants to Have a Child

Amaterasu confronted the illusions of Kamimusubi-no-Kami and Takamimusubi-no-Kami, then joined Omoikane-no-Kami in asking Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto for help. The chapter ended with Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto agreeing to use Yin and Yang Power to create a life-nurturing seed for Otsutsuki Kaguya.

  • Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto led Amaterasu, Omoikane-no-Kami, and Kukurihime-no-Kami beneath the stone platform to the chamber where two figures lay.
  • Amaterasu unleashed black flames on the figures, which dissolved and revealed themselves to be illusions of Kamimusubi-no-Kami and Takamimusubi-no-Kami.
  • Kukurihime-no-Kami recalled that the two gods had once wounded Amaterasu, causing her to give birth to a divine child.
  • Omoikane-no-Kami asked Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto to use illusions to make the two gods wield Yin and Yang Power and produce a seed capable of nurturing life.
  • Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto agreed and asked who the target was, and Omoikane-no-Kami named Otsutsuki Kaguya.

Ch. 511Welcome to my world

Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto used an illusion to draw out Kamimusubi-no-Kami and Takamimusubi-no-Kami’s yin-yang power and create an Yin-Yang Seed, then refused Omoikane-no-Kami’s demand for another. After Amaterasu exposed his hiding place, Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto trapped Omoikane-no-Kami in his own world and promised him a month of torment.

  • Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto recreated Takamagahara in an illusion and made Kamimusubi-no-Kami and Takamimusubi-no-Kami release their yin and yang powers, producing an Yin-Yang Seed.
  • Omoikane-no-Kami asked Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto to collect another seed, but Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto refused to endanger the two old gods further.
  • Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto revealed he had been hiding his real body and escaped Omoikane-no-Kami’s attack by dissolving into mist.
  • Amaterasu spread black flames through the cavern, forcing Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto out of hiding.
  • Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto pulled Omoikane-no-Kami into his world, bound him to a pillar, and threatened him with a month of torment.

Ch. 512Control over the world and acknowledgment of a master

Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto repeatedly tortured Omoikane-no-Kami in his world, but Omoikane-no-Kami revealed that his ability was already affecting Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto. After their battle of wills, Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto acknowledged Omoikane-no-Kami as his master.

  • Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto repeatedly cut Omoikane-no-Kami apart with the Kusanagi Sword, restoring him each time so the torture could continue.
  • Omoikane-no-Kami revealed that his ability had activated when Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto's mind connected with his, and declared that Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto would become his servant.
  • Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto summoned over a hundred Kusanagi Swords and attacked Omoikane-no-Kami, determined to destroy his mind first.
  • In the stone cavern, Omoikane-no-Kami cried out and collapsed as the contest ended, and Amaterasu extinguished the black flames.
  • Kukurihime-no-Kami caught Omoikane-no-Kami, who complimented her scent, before Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto knelt and called him Master.

Ch. 513A mysterious arrival

Shinsei and Kaguya chose a riverside clearing and began gathering timber to build a house. As they prepared to raise its frame, a woman dressed in blue-green approached across the plain.

  • Shinsei told Kaguya they would wait before approaching the God Tree until he could better protect her from the Ōtsutsuki Clan.
  • Shinsei and Kaguya found a sheltered spot by a river and decided to build a house there.
  • Kaguya accidentally blasted a swath of woodland with a strike she said she had barely powered.
  • Shinsei gave Kaguya the Kusanagi Sword to cut down trees while he trimmed the logs, and they stacked timber beside the clearing.
  • As Shinsei prepared to build the house’s frame, Kaguya noticed a woman in blue-green approaching across the plain.

Ch. 514Curse

Shinsei reluctantly let Konohanasakuya-hime stay near his new home after Kaguya vouched for her, though he remained wary. As she revealed her history as Amaterasu’s former servant, a strange curse appeared across her back.

  • Konohanasakuya-hime arrived at Shinsei and Kaguya’s riverside home, claiming she had fled Takamagahara and feared being sacrificed to the God Tree.
  • Shinsei initially refused to shelter her, but Kaguya insisted Konohanasakuya-hime had no malice, so Shinsei allowed her to stay across the river under strict rules.
  • Konohanasakuya-hime used her power to fill the riverbank with flowers and helped prepare the area around Shinsei’s wooden houses.
  • Konohanasakuya-hime told Kaguya that her father was a mountain god, that Amaterasu’s envoy destroyed his mountain, and that she became Amaterasu’s maidservant.
  • Konohanasakuya-hime named Hitsu Magatsuhi and collapsed as a strange, writhing pattern appeared across her back, explaining that it was his curse and punishment.

Ch. 515Flower of Life

Shinsei sealed the curse afflicting the Flower God, and she recovered enough to tend Kaguya’s home and confess that she wanted to stay by Shinsei’s side. Kaguya sent her away, and the Flower God left behind a Flower of Life blessing for Kaguya and Shinsei.

  • Shinsei used Sage Art: Five Elements Seal to suppress the Flower God’s natural-energy curse without harming her.
  • The recovered Flower God prepared food and flowers for Shinsei and Kaguya, then grew Flowers of Life that Kaguya admired.
  • The Flower God confessed to Shinsei that she wanted to remain near him, but Kaguya overheard and told her to leave.
  • The Flower God made one Flower of Life bloom as a blessing for Kaguya and Shinsei, then departed while Kaguya accepted the flower.

Ch. 516A gift for Madara Uchiha

Former retainers of Takamagahara offered Kushinadahime to Madara and asked him to let them destroy the God Tree, while another group of gods sought to join him. Madara defeated and absorbed the attackers’ abilities, then raised Amenonuhoko against the remaining gods until Kushinadahime stepped in to stop him.

  • The old god presented the bound Kushinadahime to Madara and asked him to let the gods destroy the God Tree and help them resist the Ōtsutsuki Clan.
  • A second group of gods told Madara they wanted to join him, while the old god and his followers surrounded Madara and attacked when he refused their demand.
  • Madara used Amenonuhoko and absorbed the abilities of gods he killed, including the goddess of war, a fire god, and the old god.
  • The remaining attackers fought Madara in a desperate assault, but he killed them all and absorbed their powers.
  • Madara turned his weapon on the gods who had offered to join him, but Kushinadahime stepped in and shouted for him to stop.

Ch. 517A god who did not seem like a god

Madara spared Kushinadahime and made her responsible for the gods who had sought refuge at the God Tree. As she began farming the wasteland, he helped prepare the soil and bring water to it, while recognizing that she did not seem like a god of Takamagahara.

  • Kushinadahime stood up to Madara and persuaded him to stop killing the gods, so he appointed her their leader and ordered them to guard the God Tree.
  • Madara assigned the gods the wasteland south of the tree and told them to build houses and grow food.
  • On the third morning, Madara found Kushinadahime laboring alone to till the dry soil with a wooden stick.
  • Madara used his chakra to clear and turn a large patch of land, then opened an irrigation channel from the river at Kushinadahime's request.
  • Kushinadahime planted grain seeds and told Madara her ability could make them ready to harvest in half a month.
  • As Madara watched her plant, he thought her rough hands and actions made her unlike a god of Takamagahara.

Ch. 518A hint from fate

Amaterasu asked Kukurihime-no-Kami to predict Madara Uchiha, but the prophecy failed when Kushinadahime obstructed it. Fate gave Kukurihime-no-Kami the name Hashirama Senju, leaving Amaterasu wondering who he was and what Omoikane might do.

  • Amaterasu brought Omoikane's white snake to Kukurihime-no-Kami, who learned that the Flower Goddess had failed to get close to Shinsei.
  • Amaterasu decided not to make further moves against Shinsei and asked whether Kukurihime-no-Kami could predict him or Madara Uchiha.
  • Kukurihime-no-Kami said she could predict Madara Uchiha with ninety-percent accuracy, but her attempt failed when Kushinadahime appeared in the river of time.
  • Kukurihime-no-Kami revealed that fate had offered the hint Hashirama Senju, a name she suspected was connected to Omoikane.
  • Amaterasu sent the hint to Omoikane through the white snake and wondered who Hashirama Senju was.

Ch. 519Is your name Hashirama?

Toyouke-no-Kami and Ōtoshi-no-Kami asked Kushinadahime to find out whether Madara would let the surviving gods live, but she refused and condemned Takamagahara’s treatment of mortals. After the two gods insulted her chosen name, Madara appeared and asked whether her name was Hashirama.

  • Toyouke-no-Kami and Ōtoshi-no-Kami worried that Madara would discard them after harvesting the God Tree’s Chakra Fruit and decided to ask Kushinadahime for help.
  • Toyouke-no-Kami asked Kushinadahime whether the surviving gods would have a way to survive, but she refused and criticized Takamagahara for sacrificing mortals.
  • Toyouke-no-Kami and Ōtoshi-no-Kami insulted Kushinadahime and challenged her right to call herself Hashirama.
  • Kushinadahime told the gods to find their own way to survive and returned to tending the rice field.
  • Madara Uchiha appeared behind Kushinadahime and asked, “Is your name Hashirama?”

Ch. 520Eliminate Her

Madara Uchiha helped Kushinadahime improve her rice farming, drawing the attention and resentment of Toyouke-no-Kami and Ōtoshi-no-Kami. They conspired with the Plague God to poison her, and she collapsed after drinking gruel Toyouke-no-Kami brought her.

  • Madara Uchiha taught Kushinadahime about fertilizing, irrigation, and spacing rice plants as they worked in her paddies.
  • Toyouke-no-Kami and Ōtoshi-no-Kami resented Kushinadahime’s closeness to Madara Uchiha and discussed removing her.
  • The Plague God offered the two gods diseased leaves that would make Kushinadahime appear to die of illness.
  • Toyouke-no-Kami brought gruel to Kushinadahime, who drank most of it before returning to her work.
  • Kushinadahime collapsed on the paddy ridge, clutching her wooden stick.
