Shinsei developed his chakra and ninja skills, joined an Anbu squad, and survived a mission that led him to confront Tarō Kakumoto again in the Land of Waves. After returning to Konoha, he was hospitalized as the Chunin Exams approached.
Shinsei survived Orochimaru’s attempt to curse him, then trained Sasuke and Sakura while developing new techniques. The Chunin Exams began, and Shinsei recognized the genjutsu that launched an attack on Konoha.
Shinsei helped end the invasion of Konoha, faced Akatsuki and Orochimaru’s efforts to take Sasuke, and trained under Tsunade as he awakened Storm Release. The stretch left Sasuke in Shinsei’s Anbu team and Tsunade permitting Shinsei to clone White Zetsu cells, provided he used no living people.
Shinsei led Konoha’s missions against Orochimaru and Akatsuki, mastered Sage Mode, and secured Sunagakure’s cooperation by defeating its fighters. While investigating the Dragon Vein, he and Hinata were pulled into another world, where Shinsei protected her from the Hyuga Main Family and began building a connection with his unfamiliar allies.
Shinsei helped Konoha defeat Hanzō and end the war in the Land of Rain, then brought Tsunade, Minato, and Kushina from the parallel world back to his own. After reuniting with his family and friends, he began investigating Danzo while Sasuke and Minato prepared to spar.
Shinsei revealed Naruto’s parents, faced pressure from the Great Toad Sage and the White Snake Sage, and helped Sasuke confront his Mangekyō and restore his eyesight. The arc left Shinsei, Sasuke, Naruto, Sakura, and Tsunade departing for the Land of Water to aid Kirigakure against the Akatsuki.
Shinsei and his allies fought the Akatsuki over the Three-Tails, defeated Pain’s Deva Path, and helped Kirigakure seal the beast into Chōjūrō. Back in Konoha, Shinsei faced new political tensions and worked with Orochimaru to enhance Minato and pursue advances in technology and power.
Shinsei restored Hidan’s memories, confronted Obito, and represented Konoha at the Five Kage Summit. After defeating Killer B and Eight-Tails in a contest to choose a commander, Shinsei led the Rapid Response Force toward Amegakure, where Obito revealed more Tailed Beasts had been captured.
Shinsei helped repel Obito, returned to Konoha, and developed Palm Thunder while training others and protecting Gaara. The arc ended with Shinsei and Jiraiya taking Yahiko toward the Land of Rain, unaware of who was watching their departure.
Shinsei confronted Obito and Madara in Amegakure, then negotiated a five-year pact around a revised Eye of the Moon Plan and revived Nagato. Back in Konoha, the former Hokage prepared to return to death while Shinsei joined research into extending ordinary people’s lives and considered how to grow strong enough to face Madara.
Shinsei split the Nine-Tails, exposed Danzo’s treachery, and developed new powers while Naruto and Sasuke trained to face Madara. Sasuke finally confronted Uchiha Itachi and defeated him, but Itachi died after trapping Sasuke in Tsukuyomi.
Shinsei trained with the Nine-Tails, brought Naruto and Sasuke closer to their new powers, and helped Uchiha clansmen relocate to Konoha. As he developed a plan to protect the shinobi world from the Infinite Tsukuyomi, the White Snake Sage cultivated Dragon Vein energy and the Eight-Tails went missing.
Shinsei and Team 7 pursued the captured Killer B to the Land of Demons, where Danzo used reanimated Konoha shinobi to fight them. The group sealed Hiruzen, Might Duy, and Shisui, while Sasuke confronted Danzo over the Uchiha massacre and continued their battle.
After sealing Moryo, Shinsei mourned his grandfather, awakened his Mangekyō Sharingan, and began pursuing a new path to power while Konoha prepared for war against Madara Uchiha. The fighting at Amegakure ended with Shinsei taking the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path to Konoha, disrupting Madara’s plan as the Ten-Tails threatened to emerge.
Shinsei strengthened Konoha, reshaped the Ten-Tails’ memories, and negotiated with Otsutsuki Kaguya to free her from the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path. He brought her to another world, where Hagoromo Otsutsuki confronted them and prepared to seal her again.
Shinsei secured Little Ten and traveled with Hinata to another Shinobi World, where he fought Madara Uchiha until Madara died of old age. Back in Konoha, Shinsei prepared to succeed Tsunade and intervened when his students failed to defeat wandering ninja on a village protection mission.
Shinsei’s students exposed a cruel lord, defeated his forces, and helped the villagers reclaim their land before Shinsei became Hokage and began challenging the daimyo’s authority. As Konoha and Sunagakure moved toward cooperation, Kakashi’s team arrested Kazuma’s conspirators, and Sasuke confronted the Daimyo over his denial of the assassination plot.
Shinsei dismantled the daimyo’s authority, reorganized the Land of Fire, and prepared Konoha for new political challenges. As Kurenai’s team defended Hinata from Toneri, Shinsei arrived to face him, leaving their battle underway.
Shinsei defeated Toneri and helped save the world from the moon’s collapse, then pursued the Dragon Vein to stop Madara and was carried into Kaguya’s ancient world. He traveled with Kaguya to Takamagahara, where the gods’ welcome concealed hostility.
Shinsei and Kaguya uncovered Takamagahara’s human sacrifices and confronted the gods over the God Tree, while Shinsei gained control of Kagutsuchi’s flames. Madara joined the battle and killed Susanoo, as Omoikane revealed his plans for the gods and led Kukurihime to Amenominaka.
