Draco Malfoy's eyelids fluttered a few times before he slowly opened them.
He found himself lying on the cold, hard floor, surrounded by an extremely empty and gloomy hall. In the distance stood a statue, and the faint, pungent smell of blood wafted through the air.
etc!
Basilisk! Voldemort! And Morris Black!
Draco immediately struggled to his feet.
He turned his head sharply and was met with a smiling face.
"Awake? How are you feeling, Malfoy? Is anything bothering you?"
Morris's voice was gentle, even tinged with concern.
But to Draco, it sounded like the hiss of a viper.
He looked around and caught sight of the enormous, mangled corpse of the Basilisk. He shuddered. "That... that's...?"
"The monster in the Chamber of Secrets," Morris said matter-of-factly, "Died a horrible death, didn't it?"
His tone was nonchalant, but Draco broke out in a cold sweat.
miserable?
Of course it's terrible.
Anyone who sees the corpse of that giant snake, which is almost unrecognizable as a snake, can imagine the violent torture it suffered before it died.
And the one who did all this is very likely the smiling guy in front of you.
"You... killed it?" Draco's voice trembled violently.
"Yes," Morris responded softly, "Of course, I won't take all the credit, after all, this is an adventure for both of us. Hmm... how about this, I'll tell everyone that we took down the monster in the Chamber of Secrets together. What do you think, Malfoy?"
Draco swallowed hard.
We took them all down together?
What is this?
He felt no sense of honor, only a chill running through his body.
If that were the case, what would the Pure-blood Slytherin students think of him?
"No, no!" Draco practically roared, "You can't do that!"
"Then keep it a secret for me," Morris said with a smile. "Oh, right, I forgot to tell you, Voldemort has memorized your appearance. He probably sees you as one of the ones trying to stop his evil plans. Be careful if he ever comes back!"
Draco nearly fainted again.
"Let's go, it's time to head back."
Morris ignored him and headed towards the entrance with light steps.
Draco stumbled after him.
In fact, Morris had just confirmed with Tom that Voldemort's main soul was not connected to him; they were both independent entities.
Unless Tom tells you, it's unlikely that the Lord's soul will know everything that happened tonight.
The two returned along the stone path, one after the other.
Draco was distracted, his steps were unsteady, and he kept glancing nervously around.
Morris, on the other hand, seemed much more relaxed and at ease, even letting out a small yawn.
After a series of spellcasting and battles, all he wanted to do was get a good night's sleep.
He can return here at any time; the Basilisk's corpse can be disposed of later, there's no need to rush.
After walking for a long time, they finally arrived at the entrance pipe.
Draco instinctively asked, "How do we get up there?"
Climbing up that length is clearly impossible.
Morris reached out and put his hand on Draco's shoulder, startling the latter, who reflexively jumped aside.
What are you going to do?
"Don't be nervous, Malfoy," Morris said casually, "I'm just taking you up. Don't move, or you'll be stuck here forever."
1
Draco, stand still.
He fully understands his current situation.
Morris immediately used the Shadow Concealment.
The two disappeared into the darkness and moved upwards along the pipe.
The pipe is very long.
Even though Morris was very skilled, using Shadow Concealment to move long distances while carrying another person was still not easy.
He was starting to regret bringing Malfoy along.
I don't know how much time passed.
"We've arrived," Morris said softly.
The next second, the two were already standing in the girls' dormitory on the second floor.
Feeling the wet cobblestones beneath his feet, Malfoy gasped for breath—moving in the shadows for so long had almost suffocated him.
Morris also let out a soft breath.
He glanced at Draco, whose face had turned pale, waved his hand, and said, "Alright, Malfoy, you can go now. Go back to your dormitory. Also, I hope you won't tell anyone about what happened today."
Draco immediately straightened up, not daring to look at Morris again, and rushed towards the door with his head down.
Morris chuckled softly as he watched the other person flee in panic.
How pitiful.
But he was really happy.
Ha ha.
Morris straightened his robes slightly, then released the Skeleton Wolf.
" Tom," he asked, "Can I learn Parseltongue?"
A red light flashed in the Skeleton Wolf's eyes, and its voice rang out, "Theoretically, no, Master. Parseltongue is a special talent passed down through bloodlines, usually impossible to acquire later in life, but Parseltongue itself can be learned."
Morris looked at the faucet in front of him with great interest. "Teach me Parseltongue, Tom. It's right here. I'll try to open this passage."
The Skeleton Wolf lowered its head and said respectfully, "Yes, Master."
So Morris practiced Parseltongue for about ten minutes in the baptismal chamber.
Although Tom claimed his Parseltongue was very accurate and accent-free, he still failed to open the Chamber of Secrets passage.
it is a pity.
Just as he was about to try a different tone, Moaning Myrtle rushed out.
"How long are you going to keep making a scene here?" she said quietly. "I've had enough. I need peace and quiet. You're making so much noise that I can't even properly be sad."
"Feel sorry."
Moaning Myrtle angrily waved her hand, and all the taps turned on at once, creating a loud rushing sound.
It's obvious they're trying to get rid of him.
It's too late today, let's come at another time.
Morris decisively retreated into the corridor, closing the bathroom door behind him to shut out the sound of running water and Moaning Myrtle's complaints.
Then...
" Morris?" A familiar voice came from the other end of the corridor.
Who could it be so late at night?
Morris turned around and saw that it was Dumbledore.
What a coincidence!
"What are you doing here?" Dumbledore strode over immediately, his face serious.
Morris blinked. "Would you believe me if I said I just came to use the restroom?"
Dumbledore's gaze fell on the door of the girls' washroom beside him, and he sighed, "This is the girls' washroom only, Morris."
Morris retorted confidently, "What makes you presume my gender?"
Dumbledore's lips twitched, and his serious expression faltered.
Morris suddenly realized something and asked, "Professor, what are you doing here?"
He remembered that Dumbledore should have already been deposed.
"I saw Lockhart unconscious in the hallway, so I came to check on him."
Lockhart?
Morris was somewhat puzzled.
Lockhart's coma has nothing to do with the girls' restroom.
