Wolfsbane Potion is an extremely complex and difficult-to-prepare medicine.
Even Morris needed to be fully focused on every step; the slightest mistake would ruin the entire Potions.
Fortunately, he only wasted two portions of ingredients and successfully cooked a pot.
Watching the medicine bubbling in the pot, Snape nodded slightly.
"Barely passable," he said.
Morris didn't speak, but picked up the long-handled spoon beside him, scooped up a little liquid from the crucible, and took a small sip.
Um.
It's perfect.
It's like mud mixed with hot pot broth, thick and sticky, with a strange smell that's a bit intoxicating.
"What are you doing?" Snape asked in a deep voice.
"Never mind, Professor." Morris calmly put down his spoon. "I was just curious about how it tasted."
Snape's lips twitched slightly.
He knew that nothing would happen if a non- Werewolf drank the Wolfsbane Potion.
But a normal person would never drink it on their own initiative.
He said nothing more, took a wine glass, and filled it to the brim with the medicine.
Morris asked curiously, "Who is this Potions for?"
"I can't explain much to you," Snape said, pushing the goblet towards Morris with a slight smile. "Now, I need your help to get this Potions to Professor Lupin. He should be in his office."
Can't explain too much?
Saying Lupin's name out loud is practically the same as throwing the answer in his face.
"So," Morris paused for a moment, " Professor Lupin is—"
"Don't ask any more questions," Snape interrupted firmly. "You just need to deliver this medicine."
"Yes, Professor."
Morris wisely kept quiet.
Snape's answer almost explicitly revealed Lupin's identity.
Sure enough, anyone who can become Defence Against the Dark Arts Professor at Hogwarts is abnormal.
After leaving the classroom, Morris carried his wine glass to Lupin's office.
He stopped at the door and knocked.
"Please come in."
Only after receiving permission did he push open the door and enter.
Lupin stood by the wall, holding a fish that had been split in two, and was tossing it into the glass tank in front of him.
Inside the tank, a green, ugly creature was splashing around happily. It had special horns and sharp teeth. It waved its arms, grabbed the fish, and began to tear it apart.
"Is this Grindylow?" Morris stepped forward, observing with interest.
"Ah, yes," Lupin turned around and said gently, "Have you seen them before?"
"I've seen it," Morris nodded. "There's a restaurant in Knockturn Alley that sells dried Grindylow fingers, supposedly chicken-flavored. But I've never tried them."
"Uh..." Lupin said with a strange expression, "I don't think its fingers should be considered food."
"Who knows?" Morris shrugged and placed the wine glass on the table next to the water tank.
Lupin's gaze fell on the wine glass.
"What is that?" His voice suddenly tightened.
" Wolfsbane Potion," Morris replied truthfully.
Lupin's expression changed, visibly tensing up. "Who sent you to deliver this?"
" Professor Snape."
Upon hearing this, Lupin stopped what he was doing.
He looked at Morris, his face full of disbelief. "He told you?"
Seeing his reaction, Morris instantly understood.
Snape was probably asked to keep Lupin's identity a secret.
Unfortunately, it was all for naught.
" Professor Snape didn't tell me anything," Morris said, "But it's easy to guess. Professor Lupin, you're Werewolf, aren't you?"
Lupin sighed, put down the fish in his hand, and wiped his hands on his robe.
You're right.
Now that things have come to this, there's no point in denying it.
"Oh," Morris said calmly, "Remember to take your medicine, Professor."
Lupin looked at him and asked cautiously, "Aren't you afraid? A Werewolf as your professor?"
Morris shook his head. "I don't care."
Although he had never seen Werewolf in person, with his current strength, he could probably hang it up and whip it.
Oh, right, isn't the full moon just around the corner?
He was somewhat interested in Werewolf, and perhaps he could secretly follow Lupin and observe his transformation process up close.
This might help him with his later inventions.
Morris was silently calculating in his mind.
At that moment, Lupin waved his wand toward the corner, and a chair slid smoothly in front of Morris.
"Sit a little longer, Black," Lupin said earnestly. "We need to talk."
"OK."
Morris sat down.
At the same time, Lupin picked up the wine glass on the table and took a big gulp.
He frowned as the medicine went down his throat.
Why does it taste different from yesterday?
Did Snape change the recipe?
Surely they didn't add any extra dirty stuff...
Just as he was wondering, Morris explained, "I brewed today's Wolfsbane Potion."
A hint of surprise flashed in Lupin's eyes. "You know how to make this?"
"Yes."
"No wonder Snape values you so much," Lupin said, finishing the rest of the Wolfsbane Potion in one gulp.
There are very few wizards in all of Britain who know how to brew this potion.
Even he had to ask Snape for help.
Lupin put down his empty glass, turned to Morris again, and asked seriously, "Could you keep this a secret for now?"
What do you mean?
Lupin paused for a moment, then said, "My identity."
"Oh," Morris exclaimed, "Oh, that... I wasn't planning on telling anyone anyway."
This is of no benefit to him.
"That's good."
Lupin breathed a sigh of relief, then seemed to remember something and said, "Also, Black, if you don't want to take Dark Magic Defence Class, I can give you special treatment. As long as you get at least an excellent grade on the final exam."
"Thank you, Professor," Morris said.
But he still intends to take the course.
After all, Lupin had never seen many of the dark creatures he brought.
That's quite interesting.
October 30th, one day before Halloween, but for Lupin, today is a special day.
On a night with a full moon.
In the evening, Lupin walked out of the office alone.
As he passed by several portraits, the figures in the paintings greeted him, and he responded to each one with a tired smile.
The next night is going to be very difficult.
Fortunately, he drank the Wolfsbane Potion this time, so he didn't completely lose his mind after becoming Werewolf.
At least it won't hurt others, nor will it hurt yourself.
Before coming to Hogwarts, he lived a nomadic life. Every full moon night, he would hide alone in a deserted cave or abandoned hut in the wilderness, waiting for his transformation time to end.
That feeling is unpleasant.
With that thought in mind, Lupin continued walking through the Entrance Hall towards the side gate of the castle.
The moon hadn't risen yet, but he could sense that the time was almost up.
