Finally, the train arrived at the station safely, without any unexpected incidents.
The rain was pouring down, as if someone were pouring water from the sky. After getting off the bus, the students had to scramble to find something to shelter from the rain, creating chaos.
Through the rain, Morris saw Hagrid's massive figure. Beside him stood another person, holding a large umbrella and looking at them.
It's Sirius Black.
"First-graders, follow me!" Hagrid yelled at the top of his lungs, his voice drowning out the rain.
At the same time, Sirius spotted Harry in the crowd and quickly walked over.
" Sirius!" Harry exclaimed in surprise, "You came to pick us up?"
Sirius grinned and held the umbrella over Harry's head. "I guess so, but I just got here too."
He glanced around at the bustling students and sighed, "This scene really brings back memories. It always rained when I started school back then too."
"That's just how the weather is in Britain," Morris shrugged beside him.
The raindrops hit him, but as if encountering some invisible barrier, they automatically dodged aside.
Hermione, with her sharp eyes, immediately noticed this detail. "What kind of magic is that, Morris?"
" Rain-Repelling Charm," Morris replied casually. "I read it in a random book; it's not some profound magic."
"You must teach me," Hermione said eagerly.
Her hair was mostly wet and stuck to her face, making her look extremely disheveled.
Morris immediately pulled a book from his suitcase and handed it to him.
Hermione glanced down at the cover.
One Hundred Tips to Make a Witch Beautiful and Elegant.
A subtle glint appeared in her eyes for a moment, and her lips twitched... "You actually read this kind of book, Morris."
Morris nodded. " The Rain-Repelling Charm is on page twenty-eight. By the way, there's a cosmetic spell on page forty, if you need it."
Hermione stared at his face for several seconds before asking, "Have you altered your appearance?"
"Oh, no," Morris said.
He was fairly satisfied with his appearance.
At this moment, the other students had already begun to head towards the Thestral carriage, while only a few of them remained standing and talking.
"Hurry up!" Ron urged from behind. "Come on, Hermione, this isn't the time to read."
Nearly twenty minutes later, the students and professors finally took their seats in the Great Hall of Hogwarts.
Morris sat in his usual spot, opposite Cho Chang and her friend Marietta, with Kyle beside him.
Kyle looked to be in good spirits.
After idly fiddling with the candles on the table for a while, he suddenly patted Morris on the shoulder and asked in a low voice, "By the way, Morris, what exactly is the Explorers?"
Morris then realized that although the other party had agreed to join the Explorers, he didn't seem to have introduced him before.
So he said earnestly, "We are committed to flying into space."
Kyle blinked, thinking he'd misheard, "... space?"
"That's right," Morris confirmed.
Kyle's expression began to shift from confusion to bewilderment.
"The current activities are eating, drinking, having fun, and graduating smoothly from Hogwarts," Morris added.
Upon hearing this, Kyle was speechless for a moment.
What's going on here?
"That sounds good," he said carefully, "So, what do you want me to do?"
"Let's not do anything for now." Morris took out a black bead and toyed with it in his hand. "We'll have a gathering in a while."
Just as Kyle was about to press further, the Great Hall doors were suddenly pushed open, and the freshmen walked in one after another, each one looking as if they had just been pulled out of a lake.
Professor Flitwick stood up, raised his wand, and cast a quick- Drying Charm on them.
It was a very effective spell; when a warm breeze blew through the new students, their robes and hair instantly became incredibly dry.
The trembling little wizards looked up, gazing at the tiny wizard with a mixture of gratitude and curiosity.
Professor Flitwick waved to them with a smile.
Then, Professor McGonagall brought out a stool and the Sorting Hat, and began the Sorting Ceremony.
Morris had seen this scene many times before, but it still felt incredibly novel to him.
The Sorting Hat... how exactly was this amazing gadget made?
With the last person sorted into Hufflepuff, the Sorting Ceremony concluded.
Next came mealtime, and as usual, the House-elf skills were highly praised.
Finally, the principal gave a speech.
Morris believes that placing this step at the end is a very wise choice.
After all, nobody wants to listen to a long announcement before a delicious meal.
Dumbledore stood up, and the noise in the Great Hall gradually subsided.
"After everyone has enjoyed the delicious food, I have a few things to announce."
He first outlined the rules for the new semester, which were nothing new: students were still prohibited from entering the Forbidden Forest, magic was not allowed in the corridors, and Filch had provided a new list of prohibited items.
"In addition, Hogwarts will be welcoming two new professors this semester. Let's welcome Sirius Black and Alastor Moody. They will also be Dark Magic Defence Class."
The two professors stood up simultaneously and nodded to the students.
Sirius is a familiar name to everyone. He caused quite a stir at Hogwarts last semester, and now he's become one of their professors.
Ah, what a dramatic turn of events!
Moody also attracted a lot of attention; his appearance was quite frightening, with a face full of scars, a crooked mouth, and a magical fake eye that kept moving around in its socket.
A lively discussion immediately erupted in the Great Hall.
"This is the first time we've had two professors in the same course," Dumbledore said. "I'm sure you'll learn a great deal."
Morris glanced at Snape beside him and saw that his face looked horribly pale, as if someone had fed him a slug.
Kyle asked in a low voice, "We have two Defence Against the Dark Arts Professor? How are they scheduled? Will they teach together? Or will they each be responsible for different grade levels?"
Morris shook his head, indicating that he didn't know.
But he always felt that the two of them wouldn't get along well.
Also, that guy named Moody was very strange. Not only did he exude a tense aura, but he also kept his wand in his hand the whole time, probably on guard against something.
Is there anything dangerous in the Great Hall of Hogwarts?
Dumbledore clapped his hands, regaining everyone's attention.
"One last thing, Quidditch Match is suspended this semester... Quiet down, I'm not finished, Mr. Weasley, don't rush to stand up... You too, another Mr. Weasley."
