A reasonable price?

Morris chuckled, sat down on the sofa opposite Krum, picked up a bottle of Coke from the table, opened it, and took a sip.

"Not for now," he said.

Krum frowned slightly. "Why?"

Morris leaned back on the sofa, waving the can in his hand, and said lazily, "I'm not in the mood to make brooms right now. You know what? There are so many orders. I was working through the night for several nights in a row the other day, and now I feel nauseous just looking at a broom."

Krum's expression turned strange.

He hadn't expected this reason.

In fact, Morris wasn't lying; he wasn't short of money and therefore preferred to act according to his own feelings.

Do it if you want to, don't do it if you don't want to.

This is the state where he feels most comfortable.

If you want to have a broom custom-made by him... well, let's wait until he's in a better mood.

"Try your broom," Morris said, shrugging. "Actually, if you're still not satisfied with this speed, there's nothing I can do."

Krum looked at the broom in his hand and said, "Okay, how much?"

"It's the original price, but you can pay after you try it," Morris said, waving his hand.

This broom is extremely fast, but it is also difficult to control—at least he himself is not good at it.

If Krum is not satisfied with the product later, he will have to return it.

For the rest of the time, Morris and Krum chatted for a while longer.

Although Krum looks gloomy, he is actually quite normal when you get to know him, especially when talking about Quidditch, his eyes always light up.

Around noon, Krum left the Ship in a Bottle, and Morris even gave him a can of Coke.

Although Krum didn't say anything, his expression suggested he was quite interested in this Muggle drink.

Soon, it was evening.

Hogwarts held its Halloween Feast, but everyone seemed distracted, glancing every now and then at the Goblet of Fire that had been moved to the faculty and staff table.

Apart from Morris, almost no one was eating seriously.

After all, the Champion from the three schools will be selected in a little while.

"Aren't you nervous?" Kyle nudged Morris's arm, his expression slightly regretful.

Although he announced his intention to sign up, he ultimately failed to even meet the Age Line.

"It's alright," Morris said, forking up a piece of roasted pumpkin.

Kyle sighed.

It's really... unacceptable.

Meanwhile, at the High Table, Dumbledore was talking quietly with Madame Maxime; Karkaroff's fingers tapped incessantly on the table, his eyes never leaving the Goblet of Fire; Ludo watched the students with a smile; Crouch had his eyes closed, as if he were resting.

Finally, the banquet was drawing to a close.

All the food on the table was removed, and the lights in the hall were dimmed, making the blue and white flames in the Goblet of Fire stand out even more.

Dumbledore stood up, and the Great Hall fell into complete silence.

"Alright," his voice echoed through the Great Hall, " the Goblet of Fire will soon select the Champion of each school. I think everyone has been waiting for this moment. When the Champion' names are called, I hope they will come forward to me and then walk down the faculty desk into the next room."

He pointed to the side door, " The Champion will receive basic instruction there."

Everyone felt that this period of time had been extremely long.

Finally, the blue-white flame in the Goblet of Fire suddenly turned red.

Morris could sense an extremely strong magical aura emanating from the Goblet of Fire.

A tongue of fire suddenly shot up, carrying a charred parchment into the air. Dumbledore caught it, unfolded it, and glanced at it.

" Viktor Krum, the Champion of Durmstrang."

Krum stood up and walked toward the faculty desk with a gloomy expression—that was his usual look.

As he passed the Ravenclaw Table, his gaze briefly met Morris's. Morris nodded slightly, and Krum barely moved the corner of his mouth before striding past.

Immediately afterwards, another slip of paper was ejected.

" The Champion of Beauxbatons is Phoebe Delacour."

Phoebe also walked through the side door with her chin held high, glancing at Morris as she passed the Ravenclaw Table.

Morris:

Why did he sense a strange hostility?

Did he somehow offend the other party?

Just as he was pondering this, the Hogwarts Champion Cup was freshly served.

" The Champion of Hogwarts— " Dumbledore announced in the loudest voice, " Morris Black!"

"Oh, congratulations," Kyle said sourly.

But Morris didn't hear it, because his voice was drowned out by the cheers of the Hogwarts students.

This is the advantage of playing at home.

Morris stood up and walked across the aisle in the center of the long table, his ears ringing from the applause and whistles around him.

The professors looked at him with satisfaction, and even Snape gave a smile—though it was an ugly one.

When he reached Dumbledore, Dumbledore patted him on the shoulder and whispered, "Go, Morris, you represent Hogwarts."

Morris nodded and turned to walk towards the side door.

Upon entering, he came to a small room with portraits of wizards hanging on both walls, and a single burning fireplace.

Phoebe and Krum were leaning against either side of the fireplace, watching Morris enter.

Phoebe had an "I knew it" look on her face, as if she had already guessed it would be him. Krum was quite surprised, but he still nodded at him and gave him a slight smile.

Morris walked over to Krum and said, "Looks like we're rivals now, Viktor. How about the broom?"

"We didn't have time to test it," Krum said succinctly.

Viktor?

Watching the two chatting happily, Phoebe narrowed her eyes, her gaze sweeping back and forth between them.

When did they become so close?

"Did you know each other before?" Phoebe asked tentatively.

Krum shook his head. "No."

Phoebe didn't say anything more, and subtly tidied her long silver hair.

She always felt as if she was being isolated.

Just then, the door was pushed open again.

The person who walked in was someone none of the three people present had expected.

Harry Potter.

When Morris saw Harry appear, he immediately realized something unexpected had happened.

"What's wrong?" Phoebe asked, "Should we go back?"

Harry hesitated, as if he wanted to say something but then stopped.

Obviously not.

Just then, a series of hurried footsteps came from outside the door.

The professors, led by Dumbledore, strode in. The three headmasters all had serious expressions, especially Karkaroff, whose face was frighteningly gloomy.

Ludo was different; he rushed up as soon as he entered, his face full of excitement.

"Incredible!" His excitement was almost as high as when he was commentating on the Quidditch World Cup final. "This has never happened before in the history of the Triwizard Tournament! Harry Potter will become the fourth Champion to participate!"

Upon hearing this, Morris thought to himself:

Sure enough, something interesting happened.
