"He did it!" Ludo's voice roared, " Morris Black got the Golden Egg! Not only did he get the Golden Egg, he also knocked out the dragon!"
This was immediately followed by cheers from the audience.
Morris smiled and bowed to the surroundings, then circled the arena, basking in the cheers of the audience.
As he passed under the referee's table, he caught Dumbledore winking at him.
Did they notice your little trick?
Morris shrugged indifferently.
The principal probably wouldn't care about something as trivial as him taking dragon blood.
At the other end of the arena, dragon trainers, wands in hand, rushed toward the fallen Swedish Short-Snout, their faces filled with disbelief.
A fully grown Swedish Short-Snout was defeated by a student all by himself!
This has never happened before.
It's important to understand that even professional dragon trainers like them need at least a few people working together to control a fire dragon of this level.
Charlie Weasley crouched down next to the Swedish Short-Snout and reached out to touch its neck.
"He's just unconscious," he said to his colleague beside him. "Get back to work."
The group simultaneously raised their wands, and the light of the spell fell upon the fire dragon.
Half a minute later, the fire dragon slowly opened its eyes, its gaze blank, completely unaware of what had happened. It propped itself up, its two hind legs trembling slightly, almost causing it to fall to the ground again.
Fire Dragon: Why do I feel a little dizzy?
A few minutes later, the anemic fire dragon was staggered off the field by the dragon tamers.
Next, the Welsh Green Dragon was led up.
It's time for the new Champion to take the stage.
Meanwhile, Morris had already entered Pomfrey's tent for a medical examination.
"Are you really not feeling well, Black?"
"I feel good."
Although Morris couldn't find even a scratch on his body, Madam Pomfrey still cast her examination spell several times.
It took more than ten minutes of this to finally let him leave.
As soon as Morris stepped out of the tent, he saw Professor Flitwick pacing back and forth at the door, looking uneasy.
" Morris!" The professor rushed up, asking anxiously, "Are you hurt?"
"I'm fine, Professor."
Professor Flitwick visibly breathed a sigh of relief, a pleased smile spreading across his face. "Your performance just now was simply incredible!"
He waved his hands, almost jumping for joy, "That magic was your own creation, wasn't it? The effect was perfect!"
"Yes, Professor." Morris smiled and asked the question that mattered most to him, "Were you able to see me through that black mist just now?"
"I can't see it, I can't see it at all!" Professor Flitwick exclaimed. "That's the most amazing part. I think even that fire dragon must have lost its way."
"Yes," Morris said, "And then I stunned it with Stunning Spell."
"Oh, the Stunning Spell, the right choice. If it were me, I'd probably try this spell too..."
Professor Flitwick's smile never stopped as he spoke.
Once the other person had calmed down a bit, Morris asked, "Professor, what should I do now?"
"Find a place to sit," Professor Flitwick said kindly. "Or go to the stands and watch the other Champion play. Behind you is Delacour. I think she should be finishing her game soon too."
As soon as she finished speaking, Phoebe appeared at the entrance of the competition venue and walked towards the tent.
She walked unsteadily, half of her robe was scorched, and a tall girl from Beauxbatons followed beside her.
How embarrassing!
However, Phoebe should have finished the competition in the end; her Golden Egg was held in the hands of that female student.
" Miss Delacour," Professor Flitwick gestured to the tent behind him, " Madam Pomfrey is inside; she's our school doctor."
"Okay," Phoebe said, biting her lip.
She glanced at the composed Morris beside her, her expression complex, and subconsciously pulled the charred part of her robe behind her back.
" Madam Pomfrey's burn ointment is very useful," Morris kindly reminded him.
"I'm not hurt," Phoebe said stiffly. "My clothes are just a little burnt."
Afterwards, Morris followed Professor Flitwick back to the field, but only as a spectator.
As soon as he stepped onto the stands where the Ravenclaw students were gathered, the crowd erupted in cheers, and everyone forgot about Krum, who was playing in the middle of the game.
" Black! Over here!"
What kind of magic did you just use?
Wuhu~
Cheers poured into Morris's ears from all directions, and he was practically pushed all the way to his seat, right next to Kyle.
"Congratulations," Kyle said. "You're definitely number one. Phoebe and Krum weren't as clean and efficient as you. Oh!"
careful!"
He exclaimed in surprise, only to see Krum in the center of the arena unleash an Conjunctivitis Curse at his Chinese Fireball.
The fire dragon roared and began wildly swinging its tail, scattering pebbles everywhere in the nest and even stepping on several dragon eggs.
Fortunately, Krum was quick-witted. Taking advantage of the dragon's inability to see, he quickly ran over, picked up the Golden Egg, and ran away.
After leaving the dragon's attack range, he held the egg high above his head towards the referee's table.
" Krum succeeded," Kyle said regretfully, "But unfortunately, he crushed a lot of other dragon eggs."
Morris glanced at the area; several dragon trainers were cleaning up the egg residue.
"Those should be dead eggs," he said. "They're not worth much."
"Is that so?" Kyle asked thoughtfully.
Shortly after, Harry, who was the last to compete, also finished his match.
Harry's method was simple and brutal: he summoned Firebolt with the Summoning Charm, then used his amazing flying skills to pull the dragon and snatch the Golden Egg.
Apart from a cut on my arm from the spikes of the dragon's tail, everything went smoothly.
The scoring process also went exactly as Morris had anticipated.
Although the judges couldn't see what happened inside the black fog, the fact that he obtained the Golden Egg intact was enough to earn him a high score.
He ultimately secured first place with a score of 47.
In the evening, a small celebration was held in the Ravenclaw lounge.
When Morris arrived, there was a long table inside, filled with food and drinks brought from the kitchen—it was said that Professor Flitwick had the House-elf prepare them.
Pumpkin Juice, Butterbeer, pies, and even a giant chocolate cake with the word "Victory" crookedly written on it.
Morris enjoyed these things very much.
Halfway through the celebration, Kyle suddenly said to him, "Show us your egg, Morris. We might be able to help."
Several students nearby gathered around.
Morris generously took out the Golden Egg and let them take turns looking at it.
