"Smack!"
Two soft sounds followed, and Morris and Dumbledore appeared in the living room of Black's old house.
It was late at night, and the living room was very quiet.
"Any other Horcrux are in the works?" Morris asked first.
He has now collected both of Voldemort's soul fragments.
He suddenly became curious: what would happen if he marked all the remaining fragments of Voldemort's soul with the Enslavement Mark?
That would be very interesting.
"Not yet." Dumbledore hesitated, then finally said, "Go and rest, Morris."
As soon as he finished speaking, his figure disappeared from the room.
They came in a hurry, and they left in a hurry.
Morris looked at the spot where Dumbledore disappeared, a hint of doubt passing through his mind, but he didn't dwell on it and went straight back to the Ship in a Bottle.
Ship in a Bottle, in the living room.
Morris sat down on the sofa and waved his right hand lightly.
The skeleton worker who had just accepted the fragment of Voldemort's soul appeared before him.
"Hello, Voldemort."
Morris greeted him.
However, the skeleton worker simply stood there respectfully, his soul fire burning in his empty eye sockets, without replying.
Morris, somewhat puzzled, "Can you speak?"
The skeleton worker shook his head, his joints clicking and clacking.
Morris then asked, "Are you Voldemort?"
The skeleton worker shook his head again.
Seeing this, Morris stroked his chin.
Voldemort's soul fragments should have already entered this skeleton worker's body.
That shouldn't be the case.
This wasn't the case with Tom last time.
Morris intended to have Voldemort himself answer his questions.
He waved his right hand again, and this time, the Skeleton Wolf possessed by Tom appeared on the carpet.
Come to think of it, it seems like he hasn't let Tom out for a long time.
After all, there's not much use for him on a regular basis.
I wonder if Tom will feel stifled.
"What are your orders, master?"
Tom's voice rang out in the living room, his tone extremely respectful.
Morris pointed at the skeleton worker. "Look at him. He's a fragment of Voldemort's soul, just like you, but he doesn't seem to have any thoughts of his own."
Tom turned to the skeleton worker, stared at him for a few seconds, and replied, "When I created the first Horcrux, I copied all my memories. Ordinary soul fragments don't retain memories; they only possess a certain degree of independent thought and consciousness."
This explanation is clear and straightforward.
"Alright." Morris shook his head with some regret.
He even wanted to recruit three Voldemort to play mahjong with him.
It now seems that this wish cannot be fulfilled.
"Oh, right," Morris suddenly had a bold idea, " Tom, could you merge with this soul?"
Tom shook his head without hesitation, "Whether it's splitting a soul or fusing souls, both are extremely difficult things; at least I don't know the methods."
"Useless," Morris muttered.
Tom lowered his head. "I'm sorry, Master."
Morris waved his hand. "Don't mind it, I was just saying."
Tom lowered his head even further.
After recalling the skeleton worker and the Skeleton Wolf, Morris retrieved the Resurrection Stone again.
This stone...
He felt that in addition to its known effects, it contained another kind of power.
This power has not yet been activated.
It will probably take until the remaining two Deathly Hallows are all collected before its true power can be revealed.
The Elder Wand, the Invisibility Cloak.
Morris had a strong premonition that perhaps one day in the future, these two things would jump right in front of him.
After thinking for a while, he simply lay down on the sofa and fell into a deep sleep.
The Champion came over and thoughtfully covered its owner with a blanket.
In the Ship in a Bottle, Morris usually slept very soundly.
When I woke up the next morning, bright light streamed in through the window, and the sun had already climbed to the top of the sky.
The Guantou had somehow ended up under the back of Morris's head, serving as a pillow.
No wonder it felt chilly.
Morris muttered something under his breath and got up.
The Guantou breathed a sigh of relief and jumped off the sofa—its owner had suddenly grabbed it yesterday.
After a quick wash, Morris ate a few pieces of bread and then Apparition directly to the Quality Quidditch Supplies in Diagon Alley.
" Mrs Lawson, I'd like to borrow your fireplace."
"Of course, Morris. But I suggest you install a fireplace connected to the Floo Network in your own home as well."
Having received permission, Morris walked through the corridor and into the inner room.
To be honest, he also wanted to install a fireplace, but it seemed that fireplaces could only be installed in one fixed location. If he installed one inside the Ship in a Bottle, it would probably cause problems, or even lead to an explosion or other accidents.
Morris went into the next room and happened to see Phoebe coming out of the fireplace.
"Good morning," Morris said.
Phoebe glanced at the clock on the wall with a puzzled look. "It's already twelve o'clock."
"Oh, I forgot, I just woke up," Morris said, pulling out a small bag containing Floo Powder.
"What are you going to do?" Phoebe stepped forward and suddenly flashed a bright smile.
"Going to work," Morris replied briefly.
Phoebe was clearly surprised by this answer and paused for a moment, "Design a flying broom?"
Morris shook his head. "Actually, I work at the Ministry of Magic now, well, the Department of Mysteries."
" The Ministry of Magic!" Phoebe exclaimed, her expression changing to surprise. She looked Morris up and down. "Why would you want to work there?"
She knew Morris wasn't short of money.
"I think that would be interesting." Morris waved casually. "See you later, Phoebe."
"Well," Phoebe sighed, "I have to admit, that's very much your style. Goodbye."
Morris stepped into the fireplace.
" Ministry of Magic, Staff Exit!"
He sprinkled the green powder on the soles of his feet, and flames suddenly leaped up, carrying him forward.
A few seconds later, his foot touched solid ground.
He stepped out of the fireplace and was already standing in the main hall of the Ministry of Magic.
Morris walked straight into the innermost elevator, and coincidentally, he ran into Robert.
"Oh, hello there, Morris. You weren't in the office yesterday." Robert was manipulating a large pile of paper documents with his wand.
"I have some personal matters to attend to," Morris said. "By the way, is that Time-Turner No. 47 repaired? I remember you said you had an idea."
Robert perked up immediately when the topic was brought up.
He said excitedly, "It's finished! This is the first time I've ever fixed one of those things."
"Congratulations."
"Don't rush to congratulate me," Robert continued, "There's a problem now, and that's that no one is willing to help me with the testing."
"If it were me, I wouldn't want to either," Morris shrugged.
After all, these are dangerous items related to time, and the risks involved are undeniable.
"It seems I'll have to do it myself." Robert seemed to have made up his mind.
