Leo reached out and pressed the crystal ball, eager to see the information about the upcoming world expedition.
As magic surged forth, a deathly still world immediately appeared in his mind.
The sky was filled with yellow sand, and not a trace of life could be seen. But when the crystal ball's field of vision extended downwards, through the endless yellow sand, a huge passage appeared beneath the sand.
The line of sight continued downwards along the passage, and after an unknown amount of time, a vast underground space suddenly appeared.
In a completely dark world, the crystal ball reveals the scene inside the underground space in a different way.
The underground space was filled with mummified corpses, not human in form at all, but more like withered Eyeless Spider.
The crystal ball's field of vision continued to expand within the underground space, revealing countless desiccated corpses resembling Eyeless Spider.
They were stacked layer upon layer, and the number of them was unknown.
Through the crystal ball, Leo couldn't determine whether the mummified spiders were still alive, nor could he be sure if there were any other creatures in the darkness.
That's all the information from the crystal ball: an underground world buried under yellow sand, with no signs of life, just these Eyeless Spider corpses.
But the fact that the Level Five Black Skull Stigmata Wizard and two other Stigmata Wizard whom we haven't met yet are on an expedition means that this Black Tomb World is not as simple as it seems.
While Leo was pondering, Alice finished reading as well.
Unfortunately, Alice made no discoveries about this strange world; everything would have to wait and see.
Two days passed in the blink of an eye. With a tremor, the starship, filled with wizards and an army of slaves, vanished into thin air.
Inside the mothership, Leo felt the space was chaotic. Once the starship was stable, his head felt like it had been stirred into a hundred and eighty times.
Alice wasn't much better off, constantly rubbing her head.
Compared to Leo and Alice, who were in serious condition, Benji and the ten Fire Elemental Spirit were in much better condition, with symptoms much milder than Leo and Alice.
The higher the level of life, the smaller the impact of spatial fluctuations.
This is a side effect of ultra-long-distance teleportation; the starship traversed an unknown distance in an instant.
"Never mind, I'll just go into hibernation."
Leo then remembered how important the broadcast on the starship had been. If they continued their expedition in this state, Leo suspected he would faint before they even reached their destination.
He wanted to see how the starship performed Stellar Leap, and according to the information he knew, the starship had to be close to a star at the moment of the leap.
Stars,
The site of nuclear fusion
A step beyond nuclear fission,
If given the chance, Leo would definitely want to see it for himself, and it would be even better if he could get a feel for it, as it might bring him some inspiration.
But the reality is that Leo cannot currently withstand spatial fluctuations over extremely long distances!
In hibernation, there is no perception of time. In the pitch-black universe, only three enormous starships create constant spatial fluctuations.
Each appearance of these three starships inevitably dims the nearby stars. Although the stars recover quickly, the brief period of dimming brings countless disasters to the surrounding world.
[ The Stellar Leap has ended. It is estimated that the frog will arrive at its destination in ten Wizard World Time Days.]
[Sleep/Wake-up Service Initiated!]
Leo, who was sleeping, suddenly felt a cool sensation and opened his eyes, feeling refreshed. Fifteen years of slumber had dispelled the deepest fatigue in Leo body, and he looked around at everything with slightly confused eyes.
In an instant, Leo remembered that this was his first expedition mission to the world!
Sensing his physical condition, he felt as if his body was recovering from its initial awakening. Power surged from the deepest part of his body, and within a few breaths, Leo had returned to his peak level.
During his dormant period, all the cells in his body entered a dormant state, including his tonsils and the rune arrays inscribed on his body. This meant that his body had not been strengthened at all in the past fifteen years.
Leo clicked his tongue. Fifteen years! That's enough time to increase his passive defense by 30 points, but now it hasn't increased by a single point. What a waste!
"Woke up."
As Leo stood up, Alice also woke up and quickly remembered everything.
It was just a normal sleep in my daze, but I had no idea how far I was from the Wizard World.
They couldn't see anything outside; they could only sense and simulate environmental changes through the vibrations of the starship.
The starship trembled slightly from time to time, which Leo guessed was either because it had crashed into a meteorite blocking its path or passed through an asteroid belt at high speed.
Not long after, the starship began to vibrate at a high frequency, and even after a few hours, the temperature was felt to rise rapidly, soaring from the initial twenties to nearly one hundred degrees.
[The starship is entering the Black Tomb World and is expected to be fully operational in two days.]
The broadcast sounded again, Leo couldn't help but take a deep breath. The great battle would begin in two days. The tension and excitement made Leo's Bloodline feel like it was burning and boiling.
He couldn't wait any longer!
"Boom"
The high-frequency vibrations that had lasted for two days finally stopped with a violent impact. A flash of light appeared, and Leo instantly felt his strength suppressed by 20%.
"The rules of the Black Tomb World have descended, interfering with our power."
Leo clenched his fist, not liking the feeling; he felt much weaker. Leo reached out and pulled out a set of armor from the Shadow Space.
With his arms outstretched, the armor automatically donned onto Leo's body. The meticulously crafted armor ensured that not a single inch of Leo's skin was exposed.
This equipment was crafted by Leo at the cost of 3,000 energy crystals. It was made entirely of Black Tsuba Metal and weighed over 3,000 kilograms. As per Leo's requirements, its defense reached the level one limit of 600 points, and its lightning attribute attack power was increased by 12%, which was 2% higher than the 10% Leo requested.
All the other standard rune arrays were present, and the wind-element rune array reduced the weight, automatically absorbing energy from the surrounding air to restore it. The 3,000-kilogram armor looked like just a thick coat on Leo.
These 3000 energy crystals are absolutely worth the price!
With another swift movement, the Thunder Spear was in his grasp!
Benji jumped onto Leo's shoulder. This time, his three tails didn't curl up but swayed behind him. His single eye flashed with a cold light, and he was ready for battle.
Leo prepared himself, Alice also took out her staff, which was filled with Ice energy. Ten Level Two Fire Elemental Spirit behind her partially enveloped Alice, ensuring that Alice would not suffer any harm until they died.
[Level 1 Alert! Level 1 Alert! Signs of significant life activity detected in the Black Tomb World. Attack initiated!]
[The energy cannon begins charging... fire!]
"Boom"
A loud bang came from below the starship. It was unclear what kind of energy cannon the mothership had fired, but the entire mothership shook violently.
"Boom boom"
The mothership beneath my feet had just finished shaking when I heard two more bombardments from a great distance.
[The energy cannon pierces the earth's crust and hits the target!]
[By order of the great Black Skull Stigmata Wizard, thirty hundred rounds of 5% energy cannons are to be fired!]
Leo didn't know how powerful this energy cannon was, but just from the phrase "it can pierce the earth's crust," he could imagine its power.
Now they're launching three hundred rounds of attacks!
That's a terrifyingly powerful attack!
Leo's throat moved slightly, and he swallowed the saliva that had welled up in his mouth due to nervousness.
They've already launched a fierce bombardment before even seeing the enemy. The strength of the Wizard World Wizard World needs no further explanation; any words used to describe it would seem insignificant.
Leo and Alice, already prepared for battle, stood in the room, staring at each other as they felt the mothership tremble. Each tremor was accompanied by a broadcast.
[Breaks through the earth's crust, hits the target!]
[Breaks through the earth's crust, hits the target!]
[Breaks through the earth's crust, hits the target!]
The bombardment continued for three hours before the mothership finally stopped due to recoil. At this point, Leo thought it was their turn to take over, but what he didn't expect was...
[Free the army of slaves!]
The starship beneath their feet trembled again, but this time it seemed to have lost a lot of weight and was even rising slightly.
[Starship preparing...]
[Three thousand starships set sail!]
Leo was somewhat numb; even the boiling Bloodline he had just activated felt a little cold as wave after wave of attacks continued.
He thought he could start fighting as soon as he entered the Black Tomb World, but most of the day has passed and he is still inside the mothership.
[All hatches below the third level are open. Congratulations on the triumphant return of the wizarding army!]
Leo heard the sound of the hatch opening. Before he and Alice could act, a piercing sonic boom rang out outside. The other three levels of wizards had flown out of the starship immediately.
For rookies like Leo and Alice, the experienced wizards, who had gone through numerous expeditions, were already familiar with the procedures and were guaranteed to arrive at the battlefield as quickly as possible.
When Leo and Alice led Benji and the Fire Elemental Spirit out of the hatch, they were almost the last to come out.
The Black Tomb World seen through the crystal ball is a world covered in yellow sand, deathly silent, devoid of life and water; there is nothing but sand.
But as Leo looked down, he saw large holes, hundreds of meters wide, appearing in the world covered by yellow sand. These holes were bottomless and were likely the marks left by the starship's energy cannons piercing the earth's crust.
At this moment, like fountains, those eyeless, withered spiders that had been seen in the crystal ball were gushing out of these large holes.
These Eyeless Spider emanated no life force and seemed to have been dead for a very long time, yet they surged forth from the various large holes with utter madness, charging without any emotion towards the army composed of wizards and slaves.
