Sword Momentum Like a Net, a Spectacle to Behold
Time slowly passed.
In a flash, the next day arrived.
Lin Tian stepped out of his room.
After an entire night of cultivation.
Some more of the Moon God Pill's poison had been forced out of his body.
The strength of Lin Tian's physique had also soared in a short time.
But this was, after all, a body-refining technique comprehended by the Heavenly Sword.
After only two days of cultivation, Lin Tian had not even reached Sword Grinding, the first level of the body-refining technique.
His physique, however, seemed to have improved considerably in that short time.
A faint rustling reached his ears.
Lin Tian lowered his gaze and saw the little girl obediently sweeping the ground with a broom.
Judging by her clothes, she probably did not come from a wealthy family.
She was very practiced at housework.
"My lord, breakfast is ready."
Ling Qiuzi brought over two bowls of porridge and placed them on the stone table.
He did not move.
Ling Qiuzi was already used to it and took a sip herself.
"I want the bowl you've drunk from."
Lin Tian spoke coldly.
"All right."
Ling Qiuzi handed Lin Tian the bowl of porridge she had drunk from.
Although they had already spent several days together.
Ling Qiuzi could clearly feel the trace of coldness and rejection coming from Lin Tian.
That bone-deep arrogance and indifference could not be faked.
The more he was like this, the more reassured Ling Qiuzi felt.
Because arrogant people disdained playing tricks.
Lin Tian nodded, sat on a stone chair, and began drinking the porridge.
Ling Qiuzi wore red, and beneath her thin gauze skirt, her two slender, jade-white legs were faintly visible.
Lin Tian glanced at her and drained his bowl of porridge in one gulp.
A flicker passed through Ling Qiuzi's beautiful eyes. She rose gracefully and hurried into the kitchen.
She brought over an entire large pot filled with porridge.
"Big brother eats so much."
The little girl muttered before Ling Qiuzi called her over.
Still a little timid, she took a brimming bowl of porridge and walked some distance away.
"My lord, I still don't know your surname."
Ling Qiuzi spoke softly, holding her bowl and eating in small, slow mouthfuls as she watched Lin Tian's expression.
"My name is Lin Tian."
Lin Tian spoke, and their eyes met.
She lowered her head slightly, thought of something, and went into her room.
Taking out a hand-sewn white robe, she walked to Lin Tian's side and said:
"Young Master Lin, I noticed your clothes are rather worn. I sewed this robe last night with some spare cloth."
Somewhat surprised, Lin Tian looked at the robe in Ling Qiuzi's hands, his gaze continuing down to a ring on her pale, slender finger.
A spatial ring.
He remembered that even Senior Brother Li did not have a spatial ring.
Yet Ling Qiuzi actually had one.
Over the previous few days, Ling Qiuzi had not worn a spatial ring.
Was she wearing it today to show him her sincerity?
Lin Tian looked at Ling Qiuzi. Her head was lowered, a trace of unease between her brows.
Rising, Lin Tian accepted the robe from her hands and said:
"Is there anything you need?"
Ling Qiuzi glanced at Lin Tian in surprise, then said:
"My lord, just bring back some beast meat whenever you return."
Lin Tian nodded but did not change into the new robe.
He left the little courtyard.
"Big sister, that big brother is so scary."
Only after Lin Tian left did the little girl dare sit on a stone chair, some color returning to her little face.
Ling Qiuzi stroked her little head, shook her head, and said softly:
"He only looks scary."
Lin Tian went to the forest as usual.
Notably, many more people had gathered at the forest's edge.
Some sat cross-legged on the ground, meditating.
Some were preparing to enter the forest to hunt.
Others had brought their families and stood guard over their wives and daughters, their faces filled with worry.
The youngest was only four or five.
The little child watched Lin Tian curiously, sucking constantly on a finger stuffed into their mouth.
Among them.
Most were at the early Body Opening Realm or the Qi Refining Realm.
There were about thirty or forty of them, probably all people who had only arrived yesterday.
The houses in town were all occupied.
To survive, these people could only live with the sky as their blanket and the earth as their bed.
Notably, the people Lin Tian had crippled with his sword last night were also here.
At the sight of Lin Tian, they struggled to get away as though they had seen a devil.
This instantly made some people who had designs on Lin Tian abandon their intentions.
His gaze calm, Lin Tian walked into the forest alone.
A day of slaughter began.
What surprised Lin Tian was that no matter how he slaughtered them.
The numbers of vicious beasts and Cold Nether Beasts in the forest never decreased.
It was as though however many he killed, just as many would come.
These vicious beasts were not very high-ranking, either.
They seemed like livestock supplied specifically for people's use.
By the time the sun sank, Lin Tian had killed over a dozen vicious beasts of various kinds, as well as twenty Cold Nether Beasts.
Lin Tian noticed that the people sent here yesterday had already taken notice of him.
Whenever Lin Tian killed vicious beasts, these people would follow behind him and carry their carcasses out of the forest.
After all, even a second-rank Demon Pig.
Was a formidable enemy to an ordinary Body Opening Realm cultivator.
Lin Tian's presence was nothing short of salvation for these people.
Lin Tian did not particularly mind this.
As long as these people did not disturb him.
Time kept slipping away in the blink of an eye.
Fifteen days passed.
The number Lin Tian slaughtered continued to increase.
From a dozen or so on the first day.
To over a hundred.
Until the twentieth day.
Lin Tian slaughtered two hundred vicious beasts in a single day.
There were so many that these dozens of refugees could not finish eating them all.
These people picked up meat to eat every day.
They began building houses at the forest's edge.
Naturally, they could not compare with the courtyards in town.
But they at least counted as shelters from the wind.
These people also knew that food was not their greatest problem.
Their greatest problem was the pill poison that would erupt ten days later.
Several hundred people would have to fight over a few dozen subsidiary pills.
Combined with their low cultivation.
They had essentially already been sentenced to death.
Let alone children, even those in the Qi Refining Realm or early Body Opening Realm.
Would not survive even the first month.
They would all die in excruciating pain.
Those who knew the truth had already begun wallowing in self-pity.
They cursed Li Musheng incessantly with venomous words.
There was nothing Lin Tian could do about this.
He had practiced the Sword Heart Body Refining Art for half a month.
By now, he had almost completely expelled the Moon God Pill's poison from his body.
Even without a subsidiary pill.
The Moon God Pill would not pose the slightest threat to him.
As for Lin Tian's cultivation, it also kept soaring.
In twenty days, Lin Tian's cultivation had risen to the peak of the ninth level of the Body Opening Realm.
Compared with his cultivation, Lin Tian's breakthroughs in the sword Dao were even more astonishing.
Within twenty days, Lin Tian had gained eighty years of sword Dao comprehension.
His current sword momentum was no longer comparable to before.
Now, he did not even need to use the Heavenly Sword.
With two fingers forming a sword, he could cast his sword momentum like a net.
Peerlessly fierce, a spectacle to behold.
Sword momentum was also known as embryonic sword intent.
Lin Tian was now continually accumulating comprehension of sword momentum.
The day he comprehended sword intent was not far off.
The Heavenly Sword was still mystic-grade.
But its sharpness and the damage it dealt once drawn.
Were already more terrifying than those of an ordinary earth-grade spirit sword.
Hoisting half a Demon Pig onto his shoulder.
Lin Tian walked out of the forest.
As he entered town, he again encountered the white-robed man he had met half a month earlier.
Behind him were two other handsome men.
They were all roughly at the Body Opening Realm.
However, the impression these three gave Lin Tian.
Was that their Qi was extremely unstable.
Their strength was only slightly greater than a second-rank Demon Pig's.
Lin Tian would not even need to draw his sword to deal with them.
Sword momentum alone could kill them instantly.
Seeing Lin Tian, Young Master Bai, who led the group, frowned, his eyes carrying a little displeasure and... jealousy.
"Crude."
He snorted softly and covered his nose with his sleeve.
The two behind him looked at Lin Tian with some apprehension and said nothing.
After all, Lin Tian was covered in bloodstains now.
Merely standing there, he gave off an impression of extreme ferocity and violence.
"Kneel."
Lin Tian spoke mildly, with an overbearing presence that brooked no challenge.
"You want me to kneel?"
Young Master Bai first froze, then felt thunder crashing above his head, one peal after another.
Then he shouted a rebuke:
"Who gave you the nerve, you... ah!"
His expression was savage, but his shoulders suddenly sank.
Hum!
Boundless force pressed down from the void, making his body shudder violently.
"Ah!"
Young Master Bai's face twisted. His legs could no longer bear the weight, and he dropped to his knees.
Smack!
His hands hit the ground as he struggled to support his body.
Holding his sword in one hand, Lin Tian thrust it down through the other man's waist and into the ground.
Blood instantly sprayed out.
"Admit you were wrong?" Lin Tian asked with a vicious, toothy grin.
"I... I was wrong."
Young Master Bai forced the words out, his face frozen in profound fear and shock.
Swish!
Lin Tian pulled out the Heavenly Sword. Young Master Bai felt his whole body lighten and collapsed limply to the ground.
"If the rules hadn't constrained me, you'd already be a corpse."
Lin Tian walked past him, his voice still cold.
Several seconds later, the other two finally came to their senses. They stared at Lin Tian's retreating back, their eyes filled with disbelief.
"Brother Bai, don't worry. We'll tell Lady Hongyu about this as soon as we get back."
One of them offered the suggestion.
Young Master Bai lay sprawled on the ground, the shock still lingering on his face.
He shook his head and spoke with both anger and helplessness:
"Telling Lady Hongyu won't help. He's Lady Hongyu's prey now. Lady Hongyu is just waiting for him to kneel and beg for mercy in half a month. She can't bear to beat or kill him right now."
