The Eternal Paradise Cult.
Giyu calmly walked to the bald cult member's side, his gaze quietly fixed on him, and asked softly:
"Besides staying in this room, where else does your cult leader usually go?"
"This..."
When the bald-headed cult member heard this question, he hesitated, unsure how to answer.
exhausted!
The Nichirin Blade was instantly drawn and pressed against the neck of the bald cult member. Sanemi roared furiously:
"Looks like you really want to die!"
"No... no... no!" The bald cult member trembled with fear, his voice shaking.
"Say it if you don't want to die!" Sanemi threatened.
"This... the entire temple belongs to the cult leader; he can go wherever he wants!" the bald cult member replied tremblingly.
Giyu frowned slightly and continued to ask:
"Which one does he usually go to most often?"
"This is... this is the one!"
"Besides this one?"
"Apart from... if we're talking about this room, then it's the cult leader's own room!"
"Then why don't you take us there!" Sanemi glared angrily at the bald cult member, his eyes seeming to devour him.
"Okay... okay!" the bald cult member stammered.
After saying that, he cautiously looked down at the Nichirin Blade still pressed against his neck.
Sanemi snorted coldly, flicked his wrist, and the Nichirin Blade was sheathed again.
The bald cult member then got up from the ground with a sigh of relief and led the two men the way.
Soon, the three of them arrived outside a room.
Just like before, before even getting close to the door of that room, the bald cult member pointed to the room, indicating that it was the cult leader's room.
Sanemi and Giyu exchanged a glance. This time, they didn't go together. Instead, Giyu walked over alone with cautious steps.
Giyu arrived at the door and first listened intently, but as before, he heard nothing.
However, he still dared not relax in the slightest. He slowly placed his hand on the door, then suddenly pulled it open and rushed inside like an arrow released from a bow.
After a short while, Giyu calmly came out again and gently shook his head at Sanemi.
Seeing Sanemi, Sanemi frowned again, his anger rising even higher. He suddenly raised his hand and slapped the bald cult member hard on the back.
"Walk!"
The bald-headed cult members dared not resist and obediently walked towards the cult leader's room.
The two men led the bald cult members into Doma's room.
Sanemi's gaze slowly swept across the room, looking around, before finally settling on a cabinet.
That was Doma's collection cabinet, which was carefully divided into individual sections by wooden boards, and each section contained a beautifully crafted human head.
The frost on their heads showed that their owners took great care of them every day, trying their best to prevent them from decaying.
One compartment was quite unusual; it also contained a human head, but it wasn't placed directly on the cabinet.
Instead, it was placed in a beautiful vase...
" Doma deserves to die!!" Sanemi stared at the collection cabinet in front of him, his face contorted with extreme anger, and said through gritted teeth.
Giyu looked at the collection cabinet, his face still expressionless, and simply nodded silently.
He then looked at the bald cult member and said in a calm tone:
"Now take us for a walk around the temple and see if we can run into your leader!"
"Okay! Okay!" The bald cult member nodded repeatedly in response.
Led by the bald cult member, the two carefully toured the temple again, but unfortunately, they did not find any trace of Doma.
Finally, they went to Doma's room again to check, and after confirming that Doma had not gone back, the two had no choice but to return to the room they had started with, the room where Doma had met with his followers.
Bang!
Giyu, expressionless, delivered another chop to the bald cult member's neck, then dragged him toward the wall as if he were a helpless object.
Sanemi frowned slightly, looking at Giyu's swift and decisive movements, and asked with a puzzled expression:
"Hey! Doma's already run away, what are we doing here?"
"Wait for Doma!" Giyu replied calmly.
"Huh? Doma's already run away, what are we waiting for?" Sanemi asked, his face full of doubt and his tone brimming with confusion.
Giyu remained calm, only saying softly, " Doma didn't escape!"
Sanemi stared wide-eyed at the sound of a tall tale, questioning:
"Huh? Before we arrived, Doma was still here receiving believers, but after we arrived, Doma disappeared. Didn't he run away?"
"Why did he run away?" Giyu asked, puzzled.
Sanemi, upon hearing this, seemed to have heard a joke and said:
"Huh? Why isn't he running there? Is he just waiting to be killed by us?"
Giyu didn't respond immediately. Instead, he first gently dragged the bald cult member to a corner, making him slump against the wall. Then, he slowly walked back, looked at Sanemi, and asked:
Have you ever seen Doma?
"Nonsense, of course I've never seen it!" Sanemi blurted out without thinking.
"I've never seen Doma either!" Giyu stated this fact calmly.
"So?" Sanemi asked, frowning.
Giyu glanced at Sanemi and continued methodically:
"None of us have ever seen Doma, so Doma hasn't seen us either. To him, we're just two ordinary Demon Slayer Corps members, so he shouldn't have run away!"
Sanemi's expression faltered for a moment upon hearing this, before he said somewhat displeased:
"But won't Kato follow behind?"
"But Doma doesn't know about this!" Giyu replied calmly.
Upon hearing Sanemi frowned slightly, as if he had realized something, but couldn't quite put his finger on it.
Seeing this, Giyu spoke up to enlighten him:
"If you were Upper Rank, what would be the first thing you do if you encountered a member of the Demon Slayer Corps?"
Sanemi frowned slightly upon hearing this. After thinking carefully for a moment, he said:
"If I were the Upper Rank, I would kill them all!"
Giyu nodded. "That's right! So in this situation, there's only one possibility: Doma to do something!"
"What did you go to do?" Sanemi asked, frowning.
Giyu shook his head. "I don't know the specifics of what we'll do, but if we just wait here, we can get him back!"
Sanemi frowned. "What if he doesn't come back in three days?"
"Then we'll wait here for three days!" Giyu replied calmly.
Sanemi glanced at Giyu upon hearing this, but did not reply. The two waited quietly inside the house.
Time passed second by second.
Suddenly, the sound of footsteps came from outside.
