  • Obanai, Kyojuro, and Tengen argued for executing Tanjiro and Nezuko, while Mitsuri felt reluctant to kill them.
  • Kanae had the Kakushi release Tanjiro and told him Nezuko was safe inside her box in a sunless room.
  • Kanae revealed she had visited Tanjiro on Mount Sagiri and said Nezuko was unlike other demons because she did not eat humans.

After the group fell asleep on the Mugen Train, Tanjiro dreamed that Kyojuro defeated a demon and accepted Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Inosuke as Tsuguko; the dream ended with Inosuke chasing a train centipede alongside animal-like versions of the others.

  • Tanjiro explained Hinokami Kagura to Kyojuro, who watched him use it and said he had never seen the style before.

  • Tanjiro told Nezuko, Zenitsu, and Inosuke to leave, but Akaza suddenly attacked Zenitsu and Kyojuro blocked the blow.
  • Akaza offered to spare Kyojuro and everyone on the train if Kyojuro told him where Teiichi was; Kyojuro refused to abandon anyone.

  • Akaza kicked Kyojuro away and demanded that Tanjiro tell him where Teiichi was.
  • Tanjiro weighed protecting Teiichi against saving everyone on the battlefield, then told Akaza that Teiichi was at Cape Ashizuri.
  • Akaza confirmed Tanjiro was telling the truth and decided not to leave anyone awake to warn Teiichi.
  • Akaza raised his hand to knock Tanjiro and the others unconscious, while Tanjiro protested.

Ch. 266Modified wind

Tanjiro woke at the Butterfly Mansion while Kanae and Shinobu discussed the mysterious battle with Akaza. After the Upper Ranks discovered Teiichi’s training ground, Teiichi went to meet all six of them at Cape Ashizuri and drew his Nichirin Blade.

  • Tanjiro woke in the Butterfly Mansion, learned he had slept until late at night, and asked Aoi Kanzaki how long he had been unconscious.
  • Shinobu Kocho and Kanae wondered why Akaza had left everyone alive, and Shinobu said Zenitsu could not explain the battle.
  • Aoi Kanzaki rushed in and told Kanae and Shinobu that Akaza had obtained Teiichi’s location.
  • Kokushibo found ashes at Cape Ashizuri and led the Upper Ranks toward the nearest town to search for Teiichi.
  • Teiichi, unable to sleep, traveled through the mountain forest to Cape Ashizuri and confronted Kokushibo, Akaza, Doma, Hantengu, Gyokko, and Daki.
  • Teiichi drew his Nichirin Blade and began Wind Breathing’s Modified Seventh Form: Wind Field.

Ch. 267Arrangements

  • Teiichi activated Wind Breathing: Modified Seventh Form: Wind Field, surprising the demons with the gale.
  • Teiichi assessed the six demons and chose Gyokko as his first target.
  • Teiichi fired an enormous Wind Blade toward Gyokko, and Akaza intercepted it with Annihilation Style.
  • Teiichi used the explosion as a feint and lunged at Gyokko, but Kokushibo blocked the Nichirin Blade with his pink sword.
  • Gyokko thanked Kokushibo for saving him and promised to make him his second-most beautiful pot.

Ch. 268Battling the Three Upper Ranks

Teiichi fought Akaza, Kokushibo, and Doma while the other Upper Ranks supported them from a distance. As their attacks converged, Teiichi held his ground against the three powerful demons.

  • Kokushibo ordered Hantengu, Gyokko, and Daki to support the fight from a distance and warned them to avoid being killed in one slash.
  • Doma objected to Kokushibo’s order, but joined the battle after Kokushibo insisted he contribute.
  • Teiichi parried Akaza’s rapid punches and slashed his neck, sending him flying backward.
  • Doma attacked Teiichi with ice lotuses, but Teiichi’s wind blew them back and shattered Doma’s attempt to form ice figures.
  • Kokushibo and Doma attacked Teiichi together, and he blocked their weapons as attacks converged from every side.

Ch. 269Target

Teiichi fought Kokushibo, Akaza, and Doma while Hantengu, Gyokko, and Daki stayed back and waited for an opening. After Kokushibo unleashed a powerful Moon Breathing attack, Teiichi realized he could not afford to fight all three at once and began considering Doma as his next target.

  • Daki asked Hantengu and Gyokko how she could support the battle, and Gyokko told her to wait because the fight had only begun.
  • Teiichi countered Kokushibo, Akaza, and Doma as he assessed their relative strength and considered targeting the demons who had not joined the fight.
  • Kokushibo unleashed his Eighth Form, Moon-Dragon Ringtail, but Teiichi began overpowering him before Doma's icicles forced Teiichi to retreat.
  • Teiichi judged that he could handle two opponents but would struggle against three, then considered targeting Doma to thin the enemy ranks.
  • Hantengu, Gyokko, and Daki cautiously followed the fighters through the forest, retreating whenever Teiichi seemed likely to approach them.

Ch. 270Gale

Teiichi used the cleared forest and the gale to slow Akaza and Kokushibo while he targeted Doma. He cut through Doma’s defense and began slashing through his neck.

  • Teiichi shattered Akaza’s guard, split his arm, and slashed open his chest before Akaza was sent flying.
  • Teiichi knocked Kokushibo away, and Kokushibo realized Teiichi was targeting Doma and warned Akaza.
  • Akaza and Kokushibo rushed back, but the gale across the felled forest slowed their approach.
  • Doma attacked Teiichi from behind with Blood Demon Art: Barren Hanging Garden, but the reversing wind hindered him.
  • Teiichi turned and forced Doma’s folding fan down before slicing into his neck.

Ch. 271Thunderclap

Kanae and Shinobu hurried toward Shikoku while Himejima rushed to Shimizu City after learning that all six Upper Ranks were there. Teiichi escaped a lightning strike just before he could behead Doma, then fought Kokushibo and Akaza as the other demons tried to interfere.

  • Kanae kept running toward Shikoku despite Shinobu warning that she would exhaust herself before arriving, and Shinobu reminded her that Himejima had been summoned to help Teiichi.
  • The Kasugai Crow told Himejima that Kato was facing all six Upper Ranks, and Himejima raced toward the battle.
  • Teiichi withdrew his Nichirin Blade from Doma's neck when danger sensed a lightning strike, narrowly avoiding the bolt.
  • Kokushibo and Akaza attacked Teiichi again, and he clashed with them before turning toward the source of the lightning.
  • Sekido ordered Karaku to blow away the wind around the battle, but Karaku's repeated fan strikes failed to stop the gale from growing.

Ch. 272Battling the Six Upper Ranks

Teiichi fought Kokushibo and the other demons while Hantengu’s group joined the battle and worsened his exhaustion. Unable to reach Hantengu through the demons guarding him, Teiichi used the Wind Field to raise a barrier of branches, leaves, sand, and dirt, leaving the battlefield obscured.

  • Doma thanked Sekido for saving him, and Sekido promised that Hantengu’s group would attack Teiichi when they found an opening.
  • Teiichi used the Wind Field to dodge Sekido’s lightning and weaken Gyokko’s slime-fish and Daki’s sashes while continuing to clash with Kokushibo and the others.
  • Teiichi realized he could not reach Hantengu’s group while Kokushibo and the others blocked him, and he shifted the Wind Field across the battlefield.
  • Teiichi drove branches, leaves, sand, and dirt into a wall that blocked Daki, Gyokko, and Sekido’s view of the fight.
  • Daki asked Sekido and Gyokko what they should do now that they had lost sight of Teiichi.

Ch. 273At a Loss

Daki, Sekido, and Gyokko tried to find a way through Teiichi’s wind wall so they could attack him from afar. Daki briefly opened a view of the battlefield with her sashes, but the wind overwhelmed them, leaving the demons unable to reach or strike Teiichi.

  • Daki asked Sekido and Gyokko what they should do, and Sekido rejected the idea of using his lightning against the wind wall.
  • Daki proposed holding back the wind with her sashes, and Sekido told her to try.
  • Daki sent her sashes through the wall, revealing Teiichi as he blocked Kokushibo’s attack and dodged Sekido’s lightning.
  • Sekido and Gyokko attacked through the opening, but Teiichi dodged their strikes as the wind bent Daki’s sashes.
  • The sashes went limp and the wind wall closed again; Daki apologized, and Sekido called her and Gyokko useless after Gyokko said his Blood Demon Arts could not block the wind.

Ch. 274The Stone Hashira Arrives

Gyomei Himejima arrived to help Teiichi, who was fighting Kokushibo, Akaza, and Doma while keeping Hantengu, Gyokko, and Daki at bay. As Kokushibo resumed his attack, Teiichi told Gyomei to hold off the three outer Upper Ranks.

  • Sekido considered absorbing the other clones to become Zohakuten, but worried about leaving Hantengu exposed.
  • Teiichi fought off Kokushibo, Akaza, and Doma more easily after the other demons stopped interfering.
  • Gyomei Himejima arrived and attacked Sekido and Gyokko, though Urogi's shriek diverted his weapons.
  • Teiichi and Gyomei joined forces, and Gyomei explained that a Kasugai Crow had warned him about the battle.
  • Kokushibo, Akaza, and Doma assessed Gyomei before Kokushibo charged Teiichi again.
  • Teiichi ordered Gyomei to hold off Hantengu, Gyokko, and Daki while he continued fighting the inner group.

Ch. 275Transparency

Gyomei Himejima fought off Gyokko and Sekido while Teiichi monitored him from his battle against Kokushibo, Doma, and the others. Gyomei awakened to the Transparent World and killed Sekido, but Doma summoned his enormous Water Lily Bodhisattva against Teiichi and his opponents.

  • Gyokko and Sekido attacked Gyomei Himejima with slime-fish and lightning, breaking through his Stone Skin defense and tearing at his body.
  • Gyomei Himejima recalled Teiichi's words about the Transparent World, sharpened his perception, and drove the fish away with his chain.
  • Gyomei Himejima leaped into the air and used Stone Breathing, Fifth Form: Arcs of Justice, killing Sekido while Gyokko escaped into his pot.
  • Teiichi noticed Gyomei's awakening through the Wind Field and turned his attention back to fighting Kokushibo, Doma, and the others.
  • Doma summoned his forty-meter-tall Water Lily Bodhisattva, and Teiichi raised his Nichirin Blade to meet its incoming fist.
