• Inosuke hurled four balls of gunpowder at Teiichi, who redirected them with his wooden sword and caught them without letting them explode.
• Teiichi ended the fight, but Inosuke charged again and was knocked unconscious by several quick strikes.
• Tanjiro asked Teiichi for a match, while Zenitsu dragged the unconscious Inosuke aside.
• Tanjiro used Hinokami Kagura and launched his Dance Flash attack at Teiichi.

Tanjiro trained by sparring against Teiichi, cycling through Hinokami Kagura while Teiichi exposed his flaws and struck him. After Tanjiro asked to see Teiichi's true strength, Teiichi answered his Dragon Sun Halo: Head Dance with Wind Breathing: Modified, First Form: Wind Slash.

• Tanjiro attacked Teiichi with Hinokami Kagura, but Teiichi easily interrupted his techniques and held him back with superior strength.
• Zenitsu watched the spar and realized how strong both Tanjiro and Teiichi were, noting that Teiichi had not even used a sword form.
• Teiichi shifted to instructional sparring and struck Tanjiro as he repeated the Hinokami Kagura techniques, helping him expose and gradually correct his mistakes.

After Kanae and Shinobu Kocho treated a poisoned Demon Slayer, they learned that new members would soon arrive at the Butterfly Mansion for training, with Teiichi taking the lead.

• Teiichi told Tanjiro and Zenitsu that Sun Breathing was too demanding for most people to learn and had been lost after its creator died.
• Tanjiro offered to teach Teiichi Sun Breathing, but Teiichi said he had already studied it and preferred his improved Wind Breathing.
• Teiichi met Kanae and Shinobu Kocho after they treated a Demon Slayer whose movements had been slowed by poison.

Kato Teiichi began leading training for a group of high-ranking Demon Slayer Corps members, many of whom doubted his authority because he was not currently in the Corps. After defeating them all in a brief fight, he started their training with a mountain climb that he hinted would soon become much harder.

• Kato Teiichi introduced himself as the person responsible for planning and overseeing the group’s training, and Yamada and others challenged his right to lead them because he was not a Corps member.
• Seven Corps members objected to training under Teiichi and demanded that Kanae and Shinobu train them instead, so Teiichi offered to summon them if anyone could beat him.
• Teiichi knocked down the challengers, first individually and then as a group, and the Corps members stopped questioning his authority.
• Teiichi set the group’s morning task as climbing the nearby mountain, and Kanon, Kanao, Tanjiro, and the others began the ascent.
• Teiichi watched them start climbing and indicated that the real challenge would begin soon.

Teiichi raced up the mountain using his Wind Field while the Corps members climbed the trail, and he surveyed their progress from the summit. He began the real challenge by attacking them with fierce gusts, and Kanon braced herself against the first one.

• Sawada told Sato that Teiichi had once been the Wind Hashira, and the two investigated a noise in a tree before continuing up the mountain.
• Teiichi passed Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Inosuke by leaping through the trees, prompting Zenitsu to complain that he was cheating.
• Teiichi reached the summit in a little over four minutes, sensed the climbers' positions, and prepared to begin the real climb challenge.
• Kanon ran toward the summit and estimated she had seven or eight minutes left before a sudden gust knocked her backward.
• Kanon steadied herself against the wind and said she had expected the climb would not be so simple.

Tanjiro, Inosuke, Zenitsu, Kanon, and the other Corps members climbed Teiichi’s mountain under the resistance of his controlled wind. By noon, everyone had completed the assigned climbs and rested silently at the summit.

• Inosuke raced up the mountain after Tanjiro and Zenitsu, and the three encountered Kanao on the trail.
• Teiichi’s fierce wind pushed back the climbers, and Zenitsu wondered whether Teiichi was a demon who had overcome sunlight, but Tanjiro said his nose confirmed Teiichi was human.
• Kanon reached the summit, rested, and told Teiichi she had not known he could use his Wind Field this way before descending to climb again.
• Tanjiro, Inosuke, and Zenitsu reached the summit, and Teiichi told them to rest before making another climb; Zenitsu protested that he was exhausted.

Teiichi comforted Kanae with a foot soak while she shared her discovery that Nezuko's blood reacted unusually to wisteria without deteriorating. The discovery led Teiichi to wonder whether Nezuko might also be immune to sunlight.

• Teiichi explained that Nezuko would be exposed to sunlight gradually, while Tanjiro voiced his worry.

Nezuko endured the sunlight until her body adapted, allowing her to survive in the sun and speak again. The chapter ended with her calling Tanjiro her big brother as he embraced her in tears.

• Nezuko exposed her arm to sunlight again while Tanjiro watched anxiously and Teiichi urged him to trust her.
• Nezuko's arm repeatedly burned and regenerated until it stopped changing in the sunlight.

• Zenitsu complained about the daily training as he walked back with Inosuke and Murata, and Murata explained that Tanjiro had stayed behind because Mr. Kato told him to.
• Zenitsu considered getting injured as a way to escape training, then went with Inosuke to look for Tanjiro at the Butterfly Mansion.
• Nezuko practiced saying the girls’ names and successfully repeated Kiyo and Sumi, while promising Naho she would learn to say her name too.
• Nezuko spotted Inosuke, waved, and said, “Welcome home,” prompting Inosuke to ask her to say his name.
• Zenitsu kicked Inosuke flying and shouted that Inosuke had stolen Nezuko’s welcome home meant for him.

Zenitsu and Inosuke fought over Nezuko until Teiichi knocked them both down and threatened to increase their training. White Feather then told Kagaya Ubuyashiki that Nezuko had overcome sunlight, leaving him stunned as Amane entered the room.

• Zenitsu excitedly planned a day out with Nezuko, but Inosuke kicked him and tried to recruit her as an underling, starting a fight between them.
• Kiyo, Sumi, and Naho worried about the fight and tried to decide whether to get help, but Teiichi knocked Zenitsu and Inosuke down before they could act.
• Teiichi praised the girls and told Zenitsu and Inosuke that he would increase their training, prompting the two to wail in protest.
• White Feather flew to Kagaya Ubuyashiki and reported that Nezuko could now live in sunlight like a human.
• Kagaya Ubuyashiki dropped his teacup in shock, and Amane entered to ask what had happened.

Kagaya Ubuyashiki and Amane Ubuyashiki learned from Kanae Kocho’s letter that Nezuko had overcome sunlight, giving the Demon Slayer Corps leverage over Muzan Kibutsuji. Kagaya decided to keep the discovery from Muzan until they understood its cause and said they would help the researchers pick up the pace.

• White Feather delivered Kanae Kocho’s report that Nezuko’s blood resisted wisteria and that she had recovered from sunlight burns until she could live normally beneath the sun.
• Amane Ubuyashiki read the letter aloud, and she and Kagaya Ubuyashiki absorbed the news that Nezuko had overcome sunlight.
• Kagaya Ubuyashiki explained that Muzan Kibutsuji would have to seek Nezuko, since the Demon Slayer Corps would kill her before Teiichi passed away if Muzan waited.
• Kagaya Ubuyashiki said they should not reveal the news to Muzan until they discovered why Nezuko did not fear the sun.

A Kasugai Crow representing Kagaya Ubuyashiki found Tamayo’s hidden home and explained how the Ubuyashiki Family had tracked her. It revealed that Nezuko had conquered sunlight, but Yushiro burst in and prepared to deal with the crow.

• A Kasugai Crow found Tamayo’s concealed house and entered her study.
• The crow introduced itself as Kagaya Ubuyashiki’s personal messenger and said the Ubuyashiki Family had known about Tamayo for a long time.
• The crow explained that the family had located Tamayo through records, public information, and property transactions, and praised Yushiro’s Blood Demon Art.
• Tamayo asked why the crow had come, and it told her that Nezuko had conquered sunlight.
• Yushiro rushed into the study, confirmed Tamayo was safe, and said he would deal with the crow before they moved.

The Kasugai Crow told Tamayo that Nezuko had conquered sunlight and asked her to help research the reason at the Demon Slayer Corps. He urged her to join forces against Muzan Kibutsuji by revealing that one former Corps member had survived an attack by Upper Ranks One through Six and killed Upper Ranks Four and Five.

• Yushiro started to intervene, but Tamayo reassured him and sent him outside so she could speak privately with the Kasugai Crow.

Tamayo learned that Kato Teiichi might be the only person capable of defeating an Upper Rank, then arrived at the Butterfly Mansion to meet him. As Teiichi, Kanae, and Shinobu Kocho waited beneath the stars, he predicted that fate would bring about Muzan’s defeat and that their work would help make it happen.

• Tamayo asked the Kasugai Crow who could defeat an Upper Rank, and it named Kato Teiichi.
• Teiichi, Kanae, and Shinobu Kocho watched the stars together and discussed Tamayo and Nezuko, both demons who did not need to eat people.
• Teiichi said fate had brought recent events together and told Shinobu Kocho that Nezuko could help her develop medicine to weaken demons or turn them human.

Tamayo arrived at the Butterfly Mansion and explained that she wanted to help kill Muzan Kibutsuji, who had turned her into a demon and caused her to kill her family. She and the Kocho sisters began discussing research, while Teiichi went to fetch Tanjiro and Nezuko and overheard the exhausted Zenitsu and Inosuke being compared with Tanjiro and Murata.

• Tamayo asked Teiichi if he was Lord Teiichi, then bowed and said she was counting on him in the battle against Muzan Kibutsuji.
