Ambush
At night, the Boat of Heaven Maanna was covered with heavy bags, all of which were filled with jewels. Ishtar lay on Maanna, clutching her chest, as if she were having a heart attack.
"Waaah... my jewels, my bed curtains, they're all gone."
Ishtar flew through the air, tears streaming down her face. Although the most valuable jewels were in her hands, the remaining ones she couldn't take with her still pained her deeply.
During the flight, Ishtar suddenly felt a chilling killing intent, and a golden chain shot straight at her, aimed directly at her face.
Manipulating Maanna like a dove in the sky, she soared and swooped to dodge the chains, but the gems on the airship were inevitably shot down, turning into starlight that fell to the Daichi.
"My jewel! What are you doing all of a sudden!"
Ishtar, her eyes blazing with anger, stared at the androgynous figure with green hair and white robes before her. A chilling glint appeared in his eyes as he coldly said:
"What? Do you even need to ask? When you stood in Uruk, you already decided to be our enemy."
The killing intent of the two caused the night wind to drop several degrees, and the demonic beasts on the ground retreated one after another. A bloody battle was about to break out here.
Meanwhile, in Uruk, Bai Mo led Arcueid to the room Siduri had prepared for them. The room was simply decorated but exuded a warm atmosphere. Arcueid lay on her back on the bed and stretched.
"You seem to really like it here?"
"It's really quite impressive. This is the first time I've seen a human society from before the Common Era. I originally thought it would be very barbaric, but it's surprisingly lively." Arcueid smiled happily and continued:
"And being with you like this, without Ciel, is fantastic."
Hearing Arcueid's words, Bai Mo sighed inwardly and said, "I'll go prepare some dinner. Don't fall asleep lying there."
Arcueid showed no intention of getting up, fiddling with her long legs, and said, "Bai Mo, why don't you try it too? This blanket is really warm."
But Bai Mo's next words made Arcueid sit up straight. His voice came from the kitchen. "Something's up tonight, I'm afraid you won't have time to sleep."
Noises came from the kitchen. Arcueid stared blankly around. There was only one bedroom in the house, and he'd said he had something to do tonight and wouldn't be giving me any sleep...
Dinner, bedroom, sleepless night... when these elements are linked together, it seems there's only one possibility.
Arcueid's mind immediately raced. Could it be that he had finally figured it out?
After experiencing the food culture of Uruk, Arcueid changed into what she considered her most beautiful outfit and happily opened the door, only to find Bai Mo carrying a pile of books.
"What are you doing? Are you going to a dance?" Bai Mo asked, somewhat puzzled.
Arcueid was stunned, staring at the pile of books in Bai Mo's hands. These didn't seem like things lovers would use for a night out. Bai Mo placed the books on the bedside table and said to Arcueid:
"Alright, about the training I told you about before, let's choose a suitable technique for you today... What's with that expression?"
Seeing Arcueid sitting on the edge of the bed, looking utterly disappointed, clutching her pillow and weakly complaining, "What was I expecting..."
After a while, Arcueid finally sat up, though her pouting lips still expressed the golden cat's displeasure. She wrapped her arms around Bai Mo's neck from behind, watching him explain each step of the technique.
"The best cultivation method is one that suits you. These are all divine techniques created by top experts throughout their lives. They all agree, so it's just a matter of which one suits you best."
Arcueid didn't want to learn any of that right now; she just wanted to suck his blood, preferably until he fainted from Bai Mo, and then hold him for the night to soothe the sense of loss in her heart.
But Bai Mo was completely unaware, and took out a book, saying:
"The Asura Way is very suitable for you. It was created by the dark forces of the past. The Six Paths of Reincarnation each have their own unique effects, and there is still more room for development in the future. Among them, the use of life force may be very suitable for you as someone with Planetary Touch."
"And you don't have a lifespan limit, right? That might offset the negative effects of the Sixth Reincarnation."
Arcueid scratched his head, somewhat confused, and said, "This feels so complicated. Is there an easier way?"
Bai Mo nodded, then picked up another book and explained:
"Yes, the Sea Tiger Exploding Fist is a versatile technique with almost no weaknesses. The application of Wind, Fire, Thunder, Lightning, and Snow power within it is something I developed myself. It's simple to use but incredibly powerful, making it perfect for someone like you who wants to utilize their muscular abilities in a fight."
However, as time passed, a powerful figure named Sha Antian developed a Sea Tiger Exploding Fist, but that technique was likely only known to him.
Bai Mo thought to himself, "Ever since Sha Antian disguised himself as Bai Wunan, the Antian Wheel Fist probably won't be passed down. Otherwise, with such a conspicuous name, it's impossible for it to have disappeared without a trace."
Arcueid shook her head and said, "Is there one without any weaknesses?"
She thought to herself, "If one day I can only subdue you with force, and you happen to have a technique that counters my skills, then I'll have lost my last resort."
"This one also exists. It originates from Hell and was later created by Bai Cinan as the Blade of Hell. It also has another ultimate move, Hell God of War. It's practically flawless. I used this move to fight Crimson Moon on the moon."
However, the Hell God of War requires the user to split their mind and reach the Final Realm to use it. There are shortcuts, but those might be... due to insufficient skill.
Arcueid felt a chill run down her spine. For some reason, she had a strange feeling that told her there was no need to learn this stuff.
She scratched her head a little embarrassedly and said:
"Um... is there anything simpler? I tend to fight by instinct. My stats are higher than Bai Mo's, so is there a way to play to my strengths and avoid my weaknesses?"
Seeing Arcueid's expression, Bai Mo sighed, took out the thinnest book from the pile, and handed it to Arcueid. Four large characters were prominently displayed on it: * The Orca Tyrant Fist *.
Bai Mo sighed and said, "Compared to others, Whale-Style Martial Arts are very easy to understand, but they only work on unreasonable and powerful individuals. You should try it first. I've also written a simplified version of the most complex Ultimate True Form, so it's not difficult to understand."
Bai Mo looked at Arcueid, who seemed quite satisfied, rubbed his trigeminal nerve, and then said:
"Alright, let's practice now. I'll teach you step by step."
Just as Bai Mo was about to get up, Arcueid pressed her cheek against his neck, her warm breath falling on Bai Mo's skin. Bai Mo was already very familiar with this behavior, and said somewhat helplessly:
"Are you going to suck blood again?"
Arcueid nodded with a silly grin.
"Hey, hurry up, don't end up inhaling for two hours like before."
Just as Arcueid was about to bite, her consciousness wavered, she withdrew her fangs from her skin, and her eyes instantly turned into a rainbow-colored light.
But the movement didn't stop; his head sank down like a sleepy student.
Her lips gently pressed against the neck where he was about to bite. Sensing something was wrong, Bai Mo immediately pulled away. Looking back at Arcueid on the bed, her long hair was already shimmering with a brilliant glow, one hand covering her lips, her iridescent eyes filled with a hint of anger and embarrassment as she stared intently at Bai Mo.
