A joint strike
The difference between dragons can sometimes be greater than that between a dragon and a dog. Bai Mo has seen quite a few dragons. These creatures are often powerful, treacherous, and cunning, and their thought processes are clearly different from those of normal life forms.
But the Nidhogg before them was undoubtedly the most dangerous dragon known to date. It was afflicted by the Avici Uninterrupted, and its first reaction was not to enter a state of blood rage like other Dragon Kind after being injured, which would cause a significant drop in intelligence and a substantial increase in attack power.
It immediately spread its wings, moving so fast that Bai Mo could hardly catch it, leaving afterimages in the air. While flying rapidly, Nidhogg continuously wielded the Sword of Victory, slashing at Bai Mo, his mind divided as he began to observe and analyze the power within his body.
"The defenses were completely ineffective, neither my scales, forged in Helheim with Magnetic Field Power, nor my strength, which far surpassed his. I didn't even feel a hit. Was it some kind of extremely pure matter-disintegrating force?"
And this destructive power..."
The Magnetic Field Power surged, constantly trying to find the weakness of Avici Uninterrupted. After a while, the evil dragon's brows gradually furrowed.
This eerie, pale light was like a black hole; anything that entered it would be reduced to ashes. After a long while, the decomposing power of the Avici Uninterrupted finally dissipated, and Nidhogg felt himself become lighter.
With a crack, the Sword of Victory, which had been relentlessly pursuing Bai Mo, shattered, turning into specks of light that flowed into Nidhogg's tail.
"It seems the true form of the Sword of Victory is inside that guy's tail, making it practically part of his body. Troublesome things, even when damaged, will automatically return to their body to repair themselves. But in that case, it'll be difficult for it to be deployed again for a while."
While Nidhogg was analyzing the Avici Uninterrupted, Bai Mo was also analyzing his opponent's strength. It has to be said that the current situation was the most difficult he had ever encountered.
The Magnetic Field Power surged, and Bai Mo's sword wounds healed under the influence of the Asura Way. The Sword of Victory was used differently from ordinary swords; it was an incomparably sharp flying sword. In legend, the Sword of Victory would follow its master's will, flying freely across the battlefield, taking the enemy's head as easily as taking candy from a baby.
Its speed is unimaginable. If you were to be ambushed by this thing during a battle, or even have your heart pierced by it, that would be no joke.
"In Northern Europe mythology, the only thing that could rival Surtr's Laevateinn was the Sword of Victory, and now both of those things are pointed at me."
Bai Mo couldn't help but think to himself that this was the first time he had faced two incredibly powerful enemies at the same time. Nidhogg had already recovered thanks to powerful Cellular Regeneration, but by this time, the guy was already quite a distance away from Bai Mo.
"What a troublesome power. Even those with strength or Magecraft far exceeding this guy's are helpless. The only good news is that the power it decomposes isn't inexhaustible. But it's best not to fight him head-on, otherwise being attacked continuously... would be too dangerous."
Unfortunately, I can't use the power of the Sword of Victory for the time being. If I want to fly and kill enemies again, I'll have to unleash my true form.
Nidhogg's jet-black tail, with the golden straight sword gleaming within, and both sides harboring deep vigilance towards their enemy. Nidhogg glanced at the panting Surtr, and a plan formed in his mind.
"Outsider, it seems I really underestimated you. I must say, you've given me quite a few surprises, at least much more interesting than those Northern Europe gods."
However, before I destroy you, perhaps neither of us wants to see this interesting planet reduced to ashes. So... how about we resolve this uncertainty before we fight it out?"
Nidhogg stared intently at Surtr, a ferocious and terrifying smile appearing on the evil dragon's face. Bai Mo also turned his gaze to Surtr, or rather, to the Laevateinn in his hand.
Looking into the eyes of these two, Surtr felt a chill run down his spine; it must be Fenrir causing trouble again.
In an instant, the two figures vanished. Nidhogg was incredibly fast, its gaping maw revealing teeth that glowed with a faint blue light, as if it had just devoured the remnants of a soul.
Bai Mo's speed was equally incredible. With a slight movement of his fingers, two War God appeared behind him like lightning. The battle situation changed drastically, but just as they were about to arrive, Nidhogg and Bai Mo switched their attacks.
The light of Avici Uninterrupted and the Sword of Victory at Nidhogg's tail struck each other almost simultaneously. Nidhogg's Bite landed heavily on Surtr's fiery body, while in the midst of the battle, Oga War God, unleashed a devastating Orca Tyrant Fist that struck Surtr's right hand.
Caught in a crossfire of attacks from both sides, and already in a precarious situation, Laevateinn slipped from his grasp and fell to the ground. Meanwhile, the Great Blade Martial God grabbed Ophelia from Surtr's shoulder and tossed her like a sandbag, her Magnetic Field Power enveloping her as she landed near the Electric Eye.
Surtr let out a roar that shook the heavens and the earth, and was repelled by the combined power of the two. Nidhogg and Bai Mo were injured again, and Avici Uninterrupted landed on its wings, continuously disintegrating its powerful body.
Bai Mo's abdomen was ripped open, Sword of Victory was exceptionally sharp. Although it could not be used to kill enemies for the time being, it was still a powerful weapon.
Unfortunately, he used a surprising move to deplete the Sword of Victory; otherwise, this attack could have cleaved him in two. The move was incredibly strange, but his reserves shouldn't be high. It's safest to deplete his strength and wait until he's completely exhausted before killing him.
He was constantly calculating in his mind, but Nidhogg's words were completely different:
"As our first collaboration, it was absolutely terrible, but it seems you and I are quite similar."
Bai Mo snorted coldly, activated the Asura Eternal Life Art, and his injuries rapidly healed.
"Save your breath, Nidhogg. I know very well that you are a survivor of Ragnarok, destined for this world. If you truly cared about the destruction of the planet, wouldn't you have taken action after all this time?"
So stop with your pointless tricks. Do you think you, with 990,000 horses, wouldn't dare to come at me?
