Remains of the God of Forging
Machine God are unique beings found only in this world. During the Age of Gods, they descended upon the Atlantic Ocean in mechanical forms and became deities in Europe mythology. After the invasion of the White Giant, their mechanical forms were destroyed, and they transformed into humanoid forms, thus beginning Greece mythology that is almost identical to what Bai Mo knows.
It transformed into a familiar human form and began to explore Greece mythology that was not much different from what Bai Mo knew.
This was also a cause and effect he had to settle. Bai Mo raised his hand and brushed away the dust from the broken body of the Machine God, revealing its original appearance. It was a wonderful vessel full of artistic sense. On its broken wounds, one could see what looked like circuits, or what could be called its blood vessels.
"There's actually Machine God here... but it looks like it's been completely destroyed by Nidhogg. It seemed to have Magnetic Field Power before, is it still functioning? I wonder which Machine God it was?"
Da Vinci stood to the side, observing the unknown creation with great curiosity. It was so badly damaged that it was difficult to even recognize that it had once been a Machine God.
"Just a wreck. But the fact that they even have something like this shows that Nidhogg is using Surtr, this ticking time bomb, as bait to fish out fish."
Bai Mo stood atop the Machine God, surveying the entire nest. These were basically all creatures that had sensed Surtr's impending doom and come to the Scandinavian Lostbelt, only to be dealt with directly by a Nidhogg hidden in the shadows.
"That makes sense now. That's why he let the Electric Eye and the other Valkyrie leave. That unlucky guy Surtr, even if he breaks the seal, he probably won't be able to realize his vision without us."
No wonder this guy immediately chose to attack Landao Tianwu, who had already entered Surtr's body, the moment he emerged.
It seems that Nidhogg had been using Surtr as bait to attract outsiders. Until the exceptional talent Landao Tianwu, directly liberated Surtr, completely ruining its 'sustainable development'.
Nidhogg probably didn't expect that Landao Tianwu would act so unpredictably. Everyone who came here had always wanted to strengthen the seal or eliminate Surtr, so naturally there wouldn't be any defensive measures.
In retrospect, its initial direct attack on Landao Tianwu was somewhat driven by personal grudges.
Seeing this, Bai Mo was prepared to ignore the Machine God; things that had already perished were not worth wasting time on. Just as he shifted his attention to the deep Hvergelmir Spring, a piercing mechanical sound came from beneath his feet.
The Blade of Hell was silently extended, but the Machine God before it made no move; only intermittent ancient Greece could be heard coming from within.
"Detection... 94% damage, external communications disrupted... Mech— Hephaestus, confirmed destroyed. Threat detected—Dragon eliminated... Human... human."
A faint red light swept across Ophelia, and then the enormous Machine God, like an old man with a terminal illness, breathed its last and slowly ceased operation. But on its body, as if it were the only house lit up in a building, a component directly below it still had energy running.
"Hephaestus, he actually died here? This guy's skills aren't related to combat, are they? Why did he come to Northern Europe?"
Bai Mo's words carried a hint of doubt. At the same time, he arrived at the location where the energy was converging and led the others into the interior of the Machine God.
Upon entering, one immediately senses an intense heat, as if one were inside a giant furnace. Bai Mo raises his hand, and a cool sensation emerges, carrying the heat within and releasing it to the outside world.
Upon entering, one finds a massive container from which intermittent, mechanical electronic sounds emanate.
"Welcome... visitor, human... test."
Just as the beam of light from the detector swept over Ortlinde, a piercing alarm erupted from inside the Machine God, and countless red magnetic laser beams appeared on the walls, all pointing at her.
Ortlinde instinctively reached out to resist, but all she felt was a little warmth, like hot water. Her body was no longer the frail body it once was; the severely damaged machine could not break through her protective power at all.
Bai Mo reached out and touched the wall, and the defensive mechanisms quickly crumbled like ashes. He turned to Ortlinde and said:
"Get used to it sooner rather than later, so you can have a better understanding of your own strength later."
Then, Bai Mo turned his gaze to the enormous container in front of him, where there was something resembling a control panel not far away. Seeing Bai Mo's expression, Da Vinci asked curiously:
"You seem quite interested in this. I thought you would be very resistant to using the power of the Olympian Gods."
"Power is power, and authority lies with those who wield it. I'm not the kind of avenger whose sole purpose in life is revenge. Besides, both I and this place do need some blacksmiths. Who knows if dwarves will ever reappear in Northern Europe?"
Bai Mo shook his head and continued to examine the thing in front of him. After being mixed up just now, the Machine God Hephaestus in front of him was obviously about to be completely destroyed.
A faint Projection descended, Bai Mo saw a blurry figure, which seemed to be Hephaestus's true form.
Can we communicate?
No words were spoken; Bai Mo only saw an ancient Greece character appear in the Projection: "Yes."
Seeing this, Ortlinde's eyes lit up. She still hoped to repair Mjölnir. A complete Mjölnir was of great significance to all Valkyrie. At the same time, perhaps a new qualified one would come and lift Hammer of the Thunder God.
"The language system is completely broken? Forget it, is there any way to continue forging it?"
"Insufficient energy, identification required."
Looking at the subtitles Projection on the wall, resembling those in an old-fashioned documentary, Bai Mo took out a piece of the gnawed and withered Fantasy Tree. Energy wasn't a problem, but when it came to identity verification, Bai Mo was somewhat troubled by the space in front of him, which was just big enough to fit a hand.
Just as Bai Mo was pondering whether to dismantle the thing directly, Da Vinci patted him on the shoulder and said:
"Isn't there something in legends that's closely related to the gods? Let's give it a try; what if that's the identification code?"
"That thing is basically a soul-capturing frame, that's unlikely, isn't it?"
Even so, Bai Mo still decided to give it a try and reached inside. He figured he could take it apart anytime, so there was no harm in trying.
A thin thread appeared on his fingertip, and with a mechanical sound, the huge container in front of him was opened, releasing heat that almost melted people.
A message appeared on the Projection: Hecate.
Bai Mo raised an eyebrow and asked, "Is this all?"
"Confirmed, only Hecate."
It seems that information about himself hasn't been synchronized in the Lostbelt, which is good news. Bai Mo withdrew his hand and looked at the furnace in front of him. The Projection showed all the functions of this place.
The good news is that since Hephaestus is almost finished, it has granted Bai Mo almost all of its permissions. Ortlinde placed the cracked Mjölnir inside, and after Hephaestus closed, Bai Mo threw in the small piece of dried-out Fantasy Tree.
As energy surged, towering heat roared, and Magnetic Field Power churned, pouring into the air like a spider weaving a web. Bai Mo stood in front of the crowd, shielding himself from the heat while trying to continue communicating with Hephaestus.
They learned that things were relatively peaceful on the other side of the Atlantic Ocean, but much more remained unknown; it seemed that these things had been automatically deleted when Hephaestus was damaged.
"That's quite cautious. It's good to know that things are stable over there. By the way, why did you attack Ortlinde directly just now?"
Bai Mo looked puzzled. Logically speaking, if anyone was going to attack, it should be him.
Hephaestus paused for a moment, then a Projection was shown on the wall. It was a giant with a humanoid appearance and a pale body.
