War Begins
In a biological laboratory, Bai Mo and Xu Fu are studying a skull repeatedly. The Magnetic Field Power is constantly stimulating and modifying the brain, while Xu Fu records the data in a notebook thicker than a dictionary.
"Are you finished recording? Next is the seventy-seventh level; I'll increase the pressure a bit."
Xu Fu did not answer; she was completely absorbed in her research and had entered a state of flow. As Bai Mo's power increased, Xu Fu carefully recorded the numerical values of each change.
But with a powerful impact, the head in front of me was like an Touko falling into a juicer.
Looking at the head that had turned into a lump of rotten tofu, Bai Mo and Xu Fu both sighed deeply.
"This is the twenty-fifth time. In terms of progress, it's not bad. But overall, it still needs time. Boss, although it sounds discouraging, is it really necessary to study this madman's creation?"
Logically speaking, Zhang Xianzhong is already dead, which means that only you know this trick, right? If you don't use it, this thing should disappear completely from history.
"Isn't it pointless to research a cure for a virus that will almost never come to fruition?"
"It's never a bad thing to be careful, and... in this world, once a piece of information has appeared, it can't disappear forever."
Just as Bai Mo finished cleaning the brain matter on the table and was about to activate his power to create another head, the doorbell rang. A figure appeared at the door, and Qin Liangyu waved to the two of them, signaling them to come over.
In a room, everyone gathered. Han Xin took out the communication box that belonged to the Qin Shi Huang, and then that familiar voice rang out again, this time with full vigor.
"Well done. I saw your battle, and you won beautifully. If my soldiers achieved such feats, I would certainly reward them handsomely."
I should have exchanged a few polite words, but that would have been too much trouble. So, I'll get straight to the point.
"Chaldea members, what are your plans next? War or peace?"
The Qin Shi Huang's words were calm, yet they conveyed a suffocating pressure. Unlike the previous two Lostbelt, where Russia and Northern Europe were on the verge of destruction, this emperor lived in a remarkably stable world.
"Your Majesty, you should know that this is Lostbelt world. If you insist on going your own way..."
"So what?" The Qin Shi Huang's words carried an unyielding firmness. "Don't tell me that Pan-Human History is the only predetermined correct world; that kind of talk is as absurd as being ordained by heaven."
I will not negate my world because of something like this. If the Lostbelt are destined to be cut, then after the main trunk is pruned, the branches can grow into new main trunks."
The emperor of a thousand years spoke coldly. Qin Liangyu looked worriedly at Bai Mo, then at the Qin Shi Huang. Had the worst-case scenario still come to pass?
"So, what do you want? Do you want to fight a war of unification with me, based on the Blue Country, or peace?"
"Unilateral compromise is not peace, it's defeat. And if we choose the latter, you'd probably not hesitate to turn the entire Blue Country to ashes, right?"
"That's natural; such a depraved place has no right to exist."
Bai Mo sighed and said, "Prepare for war."
These words immediately filled the room with a strong sense of tension, and Xu Fu felt her heart pounding. To challenge the Qin Shi Huang was something she could only dream of; she would laugh at herself for it.
Han Xin's lips curled into a slight smile; he thoroughly enjoyed the smell of war. Qin Liangyu, on the other hand, looked troubled, but still gripped her spear tightly.
"Wait, isn't this the time for fighting? Didn't Landao Tianwu bring the Kuaiji Type Zero into that place? He's still alive. Isn't this the time for us to fight each other?"
Qin Liangyu's words made Han Xin's eyes narrow slightly, clearly indicating that she had become somewhat neutral in her interactions with Bai Mo and the others.
This is understandable, given the Zhang Xianzhong incident. To be honest, the moment Qin Liangyu learned that Zhang Xianzhong was still alive, Han Xin suspected she might have betrayed them.
Now it seems this woman is indeed loyal.
"General Qin, if we cannot rest easy behind our backs, the battle will only worsen. This is the perfect time to resolve my conflict with Chaldea. Moreover, whether we ultimately prevail or not, our final goal will be to eliminate that fellow."
Bai Mo nodded.
"That's natural, but let's forget about war."
He waved his hand, and Han Xin, standing to the side, immediately looked dejected, like a puppy whose toy had been taken away.
"Aren't you preparing for war? You can now freely control the technology of the Blue Country, right? That's a significant advantage."
So, you mean you're prepared to fight me like a warrior?
"If conflict is unavoidable, then choose the method that results in the fewest deaths. Don't tell me you're still in that sphere and only have one Primordial Spirit available."
This time, it was the Qin Shi Huang's turn to fall silent. He had never expected that his concealed Primordial Spirit would be detected. The thought that he had allowed Bai Mo to stand before him like that sent a chill down his spine.
It was just like when he had that guy named Jing Ke walk up to him with a map.
"Heh, you always surprise me. Alright, I accept your suggestion. Since you didn't take advantage of me then, I'll settle this as a gentleman's contest."
Light continuously flowed from the Qin Shi Huang's box. Immediately afterwards, a distorted sound came from the sky. On the Great Wall in the sky, a transport pod was tearing through the atmosphere and falling straight down to where Bai Mo was.
With a wave of his hand, Bai Mo unleashed Magnetic Field Power that spread like a spider web. The meteor-like transport capsule, under this force, resembled a dandelion seed, slowly and gently falling to the ground. The transport capsule opened, revealing a pile of documents and materials inside.
"What is this?" Xu Fu asked, leaning closer with some curiosity.
"This is my intelligence, including information about my body; all the secrets are here."
As she finished speaking, Xu Fu's hands trembled uncontrollably as she stared at the documents before her. Even now, as Bai Mo's Servant, this pile of secrets still sent a chill down her spine.
Knowing the emperor's secrets can lead to death.
"Why is that?" Reines asked. If this pile of information was true, it could have a tremendous effect in her hands.
"You once said that my rule was a mistake, didn't you? Then understand me, and then try to show me that mistake."
Moreover, I have been observing you all along, and I am fully aware of your moves and methods. Isn't that fair?
In Xianyang, the Qin Shi Huang shut down the communication channels before him. At this moment, his body had reached the final stage, which even included some Blue Country technology.
The head guard standing to the side looked at the emperor, a hint of helplessness flashing in his eyes.
"Your Majesty, what is this...?"
"It's just to be lenient with some juniors, and besides, if we can really see the mistakes he's making, these things don't matter."
"Your Majesty, you are quite lenient towards that person."
"Alright, enough of this wasting time. How was the analysis of that white Giant Spirit? Is there enough time? I let those two into my Mount Li back then, and now, we've finally reaped the desired results."
