Raven Runes
Seeing a long-absent flash of anger in Bai Mo's eyes, Abigail also became serious.
"In that case, I'll teach you what's in this hole, but how to use it specifically will depend on your own research."
A stool appeared at Abigail's feet, making her about the same height as Bai Mo, and then she pulled out a pointer from somewhere.
"I've seen those teachers at the Church college before, and I've always wanted to try it myself... Ahem, Ms. Abigail's class is starting! How's it going? Do you get the feeling?"
Abigail looked at Bai Mo with an expectant expression. Bai Mo wanted to cooperate with the child, but looking at the stool under the little leather shoes, he couldn't help but turn his head away, unable to suppress a smile.
"You should try to grow 30 centimeters taller first."
"That won't do, that wouldn't be like a young girl!"
Abigail seemed quite fixated on this, and after a bit of fuss, she began explaining. The process went very smoothly, since it was knowledge that had already been explained.
Once the first person sets out the path, those who follow will find it much easier.
After a while, Bai Mo uttered several low, obscure, and almost incomprehensible sounds. In the bottomless hole before him, the data that Abigail had previously buried had appeared.
"You succeeded! You understood it on the seventh try, much faster than I expected. Mr. Randolph said it took him almost half a month to master this move."
Bai Mo took a deep breath and sincerely thanked them:
"Thanks to your teaching, Randolph was exposed to complete Outer God knowledge back then, and I guess it took him a lot of effort just to understand the words. If you hadn't saved me that step, I would have spent a lot more time."
After repeating the experiment several times, Bai Mo also mastered this part of the Outer God's knowledge. However, this knowledge was only used for forgetting memories; if he wanted to turn it into a weapon, Bai Mo would have to study it himself.
He considered several methods, the best of which was naturally the electronification of Magnetic Field Power, but that technology was basically only barely achieved by the Silver Dragon, the reincarnation of the Skynet.
The electron is the only known indivisible fundamental particle and one of the smallest structural units. However, it is currently believed that there are no smaller constituent units below it.
If it can be digitized, Bai Mo has basically reached the Ultimate threshold, and even the Dark Firmament can be easily deduced.
"Electronic technology is too far off, so perhaps I should consider Magecraft, for example..."
With a thought, countless runes began to appear around Bai Mo. These were the knowledge he had gained from the trials at the Well of Wisdom. Although the Runes had flown to the Northern Europe continent as he wished, allowing the Primal Runes to reappear in the world, the Well of Wisdom had also given him knowledge.
That wasn't knowledge that commanded Runes; it merely passed through his body. But some of the most fundamental operating logic within Runes remained hidden deep within his mind.
Just like fish know how to breathe underwater.
The origins of Primal Runes remain a mystery. They were first obtained by Odin after completing the trials at the Well of Wisdom. But who created them? Or are they miracles of nature?
"In any case, everything that exists is understandable. Now that I have been able to access any Runes and understand its operating logic, there is no reason why I cannot try to create my own unique Runes."
Magecraft has ancient and modern versions. Let me see if I can give this old relic a fresh twist.
As Bai Mo spoke, his hands began to move, writing in the air, with characters appearing one by one, starting as a complex symbol.
After the symbol appeared, the surrounding data seemed to move like the sea. Bai Mo frowned slightly and added or deleted a few strokes in the Runes. The data moved with his actions, but they were just waves on the Dahai.
The waves surged above, but the area below remained silent.
Are they in conflict?
Bai Mo murmured to himself, then erased the complex Runes in front of him and started again. This time, under his control, he drew a Runes that resembled a blooming flower.
The surrounding ocean of data instantly surged like waves, crashing against him and Abigail like wild beasts breaking free of their cages, wreaking havoc.
"Was this a success? It looks very lethal."
Abigail asked him, Bai Mo shook his head.
"It is indeed highly lethal, but what I need is a weapon that is easy to use, not an uncontrollable natural disaster. Once unleashed, this thing will attack indiscriminately, friend or foe."
Bai Mo was not discouraged. He began to try again. The third time, the fourth time, and finally, on the fifth time, a Rune Runes that looked like a flying bird appeared in front of him.
This time, the surrounding massive data ceased its roar. Bai Mo flicked his finger, pointing the Rune Runes into the bottomless abyss, and chanted in ancient Northern Europe:
"Innrás (intrusion), rǫskun (interference), tíðvendr hringr (ordered cycle)."
The boundless ocean of data around them surged into the void like rivers flowing into the sea, but their forms were those of countless birds. They didn't even brush against Bai Mo and Abigail's clothes.
After a while, the place was finally clean again.
"Success." A genuine smile appeared on his face. This data usually stayed in this abandoned cavern. When Bai Mo activated this Runes, the data would transform into an invisible bird to attack the enemy.
"By adding a loop to the original order used for control, the pressure of control was reduced, and the effect of destruction was prolonged."
If someone else uses it, they can transmit their own emotions or even memories to the recipient. It can even allow people to transmit their emotions to artificial intelligence.
It can be used in other places too, huh. I really want to see Mimir's expression when he finds out I've completed this Runes... Oh well, he's already a skeleton."
Bai Mo pondered the effects of this Runes, while also imagining what Touko's expression would be if she encountered this scene in the future.
I named it Raven Runes.
Based on its bird-like shape, and considering the two ravens on Odin's shoulders in Northern Europe mythology that represent thought and memory, and the fact that ravens are also "scavenger" creatures, Bai Mo also transforms this pile of garbage into something usable.
Based on the above, he bestowed this name upon this modern Runes.
"You succeeded? Let me try!" Abigail eagerly grabbed Bai Mo's sleeve, and Bai Mo then placed her in the spot where she had just been sitting.
"Let's start with the basic usage of Runes."
After a while, Abigail quickly grasped the method of use and couldn't wait to try out the Runes that Bai Mo had described before, not even waiting for Bai Mo to explain them to her.
"Wait, this is about conveying emotions and memories... You need to think about your memories first..."
But Abigail's hand had already drawn it. Soon, a somewhat familiar feeling came to Bai Mo's mind, a feeling of joy and anticipation mixed with a pure desire unique to children.
But these memories aren't so pleasant. Bai Mo saw it: when Abigail first encountered a data attack, she retrieved some data and then crouched in a corner to secretly read those AI chat logs filled with desire. (In fact, most of the readable data in that pile now is also this kind of data.)
He saw Abigail blushing, like a child reading a pornographic book, secretly flipping through these obscene materials created by the masses.
Uh..."
Bai Mo refocused his attention on Abigail in front of him, only to see that her face was flushed red with embarrassment, and she looked like she was about to cry.
"Um... next time you can listen to my explanation first, as for yours..."
Suddenly, an eye opened in the keyhole on Abigail's forehead, and her clothes instantly transformed into the strange long dress she wore when she had contact with the Outer God.
"Ah... I've been found out I'm a bad kid. I really didn't want you to know."
"No, this is a normal part of puberty... and it's normal to want to relax after being constantly immersed in studying."
Bai Mo looked helplessly at the somewhat out-of-control Abigail, and was slightly taken aback upon hearing these words. Abigail lowered her head, her voice barely audible:
"... Don't you hate me? In my memory, everyone likes good kids, and I thought you Bai Mo, were too..."
"I don't care if you're a good girl or a bad girl, after all, your life won't be like that of an ordinary girl, but to me, as long as you're Abigail, that's enough for me to stay with you."
Bai Mo stepped forward and helped her put her hat on. Under the brim, the girl's eyes shone with a strange light.
"Hehe, is that so? That's wonderful. Now I can just be myself. I really want to tell my father this good news."
Abigail hugged her directly, and Bai Mo's lips twitched as he looked at her pale skin.
"Could you please change your clothes?"
"No." Abigail revealed a Little Devil smile, and at the same time, several huge tentacles stretched out from behind her and enveloped Bai Mo.
"I'm finally free, and I don't want to go back to how things were before. You said that as long as I'm myself, that's fine, right? From now on, you'll have to accept the growth of a young woman~"
It's like watching a butterfly emerge from its pupa.
Of course, for me, all I need is you. If one day I want to fall asleep and never wake up again, I can... no, please be sure to tell me.
Holding my hand, as we climb seventy steps, I will forever free you from all worldly concerns, leaving only the most authentic you and me.
When the slender fingers and the enormous tentacles touched together, Bai Mo suddenly felt as if he had released something incredible.
