The children's adventure
Rewinding to before the banquet began, in a distant hotel, Illya and Sakura snuggled under a small blanket. Illya was quite interested in this girl who was about her age; her smooth purple hair, faint fragrance, and delicate body were incredibly comfortable to hold. Illya truly felt that it was wonderful to be out with Bai Mo.
Just like a doll, hehe. Illya hugged Sakura and took a sniff. When she came to her senses, she realized that something was wrong and that her behavior was impolite. She looked up somewhat embarrassedly, only to find that Sakura's eyes were very dim and lacked the spirit that a child should have.
"Sakura? What are you thinking about?"
"Illya, where are your parents?"
Hearing this question, Illya pouted, somewhat dissatisfied, and said, "It should be around here. Bai Mo told me that my mother is in this city, but for some reason, she hasn't come to see me. That's so unfair. Kiritsugu is the same; we can't find him at all."
Illya stood with her hands on her hips, openly expressing her dissatisfaction with her parents' behavior. After all, in her eyes, she had come all this way, and no matter how busy she was, she should at least see them. Sakura, however, lowered her head and continued to ask, "Have Illya's parents ever bullied Illya? You seem very angry?"
"Huh? No, I'm just angry that we came all the way to Fuyuki, but you didn't take me out to play at all. I can't even see you. Although Kiritsugu sometimes cheats, he would never bully me."
Rather, how could parents bully their own children? Illya gazed at Sakura, who, like a cherry blossom, bloomed brilliantly before decaying and turning into soil.
Sakura, where are your parents? Where are they?
"I don't know." Sakura curled up, the moonlight shining on her small body, making her look pitiful. "I don't know why, but Father sent me to Grandpa's, and then..." Sakura trembled, as if she were being haunted by a nightmare.
"Hey? What about your parents?"
"You don't want me anymore..."
Seeing Sakura's state, Illya felt a pang of anger for her. What kind of father was she? For some reason, she glanced out the window.
"Hey, Sakura, let's sneak out."
"Hey, but Bai Mo and Sella both said we can't go out casually."
"It's okay, Sakura. Don't you want to go see your parents? I made a plan before I came, so it was easy to find them."
It has to be said that Illya's words touched Sakura. Memories of her parents and sister flashed through her mind like lightning. Looking at the confident Illya, Sakura nodded, and then the two of them secretly ran away under the cover of night.
In a small alley in Fuyuki, the evening breeze blew, and a missing person poster fell to the ground. Illya picked it up; it showed a child about her age.
"It seems that adults don't care much about children."
Illya put the missing person poster back on the telephone pole, even though it wasn't very conspicuous given her height.
"Illya, haven't you found a taxi yet?"
Sakura asked, Illya scratched her head awkwardly, then laughed, "At the next intersection, there will definitely be one at the next intersection."
After walking through countless intersections, the road they were on became increasingly narrow. Illya was starting to get a headache. The travel guide had said there would be taxis on the roadside, but there wasn't a single one in sight. Sakura didn't say anything more and just followed behind Illya.
The thought of asking someone for directions crossed Illya's mind. Going to the police station would at least allow her to get back to the hotel. Facing the cold night wind and the unbearable silence, Illya's longing for her family lessened considerably.
But there wasn't another living person on the road. Where was this place? The only living creatures were the crows on the telephone poles. Illya felt like crying.
A moment later, a man's voice came from the side. Illya was overjoyed. Great, she had finally met someone. She quickly walked over with Sakura and soon saw a man in an orange uniform. Illya was about to speak when suddenly, from a dark corner, a pair of hands covered her mouth.
"Keep your voice down, don't let that guy hear you, it's dangerous."
"I think you're the dangerous one," Illya cried out inwardly, making a move to bite. Before that, the man stepped out of the shadows, holding a child in each hand. The children's eyes were numb and empty, like walking corpses.
"Elder sister?"
Sakura's whisper came from behind. The girl who was covering Illya's mouth was startled, but she still managed to cover her mouth. Fortunately, Sakura's voice was very soft, barely enough to be heard by the evening breeze.
She took a deep breath, trying to calm her mind with reason, but for some reason, an annoying grinding sound kept her from calming down. What was wrong? Was it an auditory hallucination caused by being too nervous?
The sound of gears rattling incessantly filled the air. Rin finally discovered the source of the sound: the Mana Needle, a gift from her father, Tokiomi Tohsaka. Originally, the needle had only been trembling slightly, but after Illya and Sakura arrived, the timer began to spin wildly like a broken clock, emitting a metallic scraping sound.
The suspicious man couldn't possibly have missed that sound; Ryunosuke Uryu had somehow appeared behind her.
"Oh, little girl, we're having a party here. Are you and your friends here too?"
"Sakura, run!"
Rin pushed the cabinet aside, slightly blocking the intruder. The man grabbed Rin's arm roughly, and the adult's strength caused pain to show on her face.
"What a savage! Can't you just be quiet?"
The man roughly tossed Rin aside, then turned his gaze to Illya and Sakura, who were standing not far away.
"Okay, you'll all behave, right?"
When this thought, so harmful to Illya and Sakura, crossed his mind, Ryunosuke felt a chill for no reason. He felt as if he were in the scope of a sniper's sights. He looked around, trying to find the thing that made him feel dangerous. Apart from them, there was only the crow cawing hoarsely on the concrete ground not far away.
"Damn bird." Ryunosuke grumbled. How could he possibly be upset by a crow? Then, he was about to reach out and grab Illya, but... something seemed off?
"Huh? Right hand?" Only the arm was extended; the right hand had completely disappeared, replaced by a perfect incision. Flesh, bone, and marrow were all clearly visible, with blood flowing out continuously. Ryunosuke saw the bright red marrow in the bone, as if a painter had seen Van Gogh's "The Starry Night."
"So beautiful..." Ryunosuke murmured, the next moment a pair of large hands clamped down on the back of his head, and the feeling of unease sublimated into the fragrance of death.
"Ryunosuke Uryu killed his own sister when he was young and committed bloody crimes all over the world. Nearly thirty people died because of you. After coming to Fuyuki, he committed four murders, and finally killed a family of four. He was Caster's Master." Bai Mo, like a policeman flipping through files, recounted the entire life story of the person in his hands.
"With the contract with Caster, the laws of this world can't touch you. Thinking like that will only make your death more miserable." The next moment, Ryunosuke was thrown to the side. He suddenly scratched his abdomen hard, then his neck, scratching desperately with his nails. He didn't care that his skin was broken and his blood vessels were bursting. The intense pain was tearing his nerves apart.
Compared to his physical body, the fear in his eyes was even greater. His own sister, whom he had killed, the women and children he had tortured to death for his pleasure, and the family of four he had summoned Caster to kill—all of them appeared before him, wielding weapons and stabbing him repeatedly.
"It hurts, it hurts so much! Boss... where are you... help!"
"Feels familiar? The abdominal wound is where you attacked your sister. The neck wound is from the family you killed before. I'm just replicating the pain you inflicted on them for you. Enjoy this gift. After it's over, you can die."
Bai Mo turned his head away. What Ryunosuke saw was an illusion created by his Magnetic Field Power. As for pain, as long as the nerves were stimulated by the power, the brain could be transmitted with the same pain. After he had properly reviewed all the things he had done in his life,
With a muffled thud, the Magnetic Field Power, which had been causing him pain, quickly gathered above his head after Bai Mo completed his task, burning his brain into a charred mess.
