The Hunting Ground
Kama skipped along with Bai Mo as they walked out of the temple, which was devoid of statues. Bai Mo's gaze fell on a clump of dust not far away, which was the remnant of the statues Kama had made. His eyes lingered on it for a moment.
Several thoughts collided at that moment. According to the original plan, as long as the current Arjuna opposed his own becoming Omnipotent God, then his way of existence would be shaken. This was the best option for that [Arjuna].
The connections with Panchala have been established. All that's left is to find him in hiding, locate Kunti and Karna to reunite them, and then work together to spread the influence of Sweetness City throughout the entire continent.
But the information brought by Ashwatthama made things even more confusing. If, as he said, that [Arjuna] was just wearing Arjuna's skin, then the original plan could not have succeeded.
Thus, Bai Mo began to consider another option, another possibility, and suddenly, he called out to Kama.
"Kama, you don't like the role of the goddess of love, do you?"
Kama rolled her eyes at Bai Mo, annoyed, and said, "My Master, do you even need to ask? I thought you knew me well. Let me reiterate, I hate the role of Cupid the most! Let all love explode!"
"Then can't you change your divine position?"
"Huh? What are you talking about? I just don't get involved in romance. If Cupid disappeared, the world would literally lose love, although it shouldn't affect you. But honestly, do you even have love in your heart? I really want to dig it out and see."
At this point, Kama gave Bai Mo a bewitching smile and said, "Bai Mo, do you expect me to abandon the God of Love, to abandon love in the world? That would be a terrible sin, and if I were to commit that sin, you would never escape it either~"
However, Kama's words did not cause Bai Mo the expected unease. Bai Mo lowered his head, as if he was really thinking about something.
Seeing Bai Mo like this, Kama became somewhat frightened.
"Don't look at me like that. Say something and answer me. You're scaring me."
"It's nothing, I just find it somewhat absurd that love is actually tied to a certain entity. But if all living beings lost love, it would be quite troublesome. Just take this as me saying something casually."
"Don't talk about such scary things. If we gods don't have sacrifices for a long time, we will also be affected. Well, although I still have the Beast's side profile, you don't want me to become like that again, do you?"
Bai Mo nodded, and just as the two were about to leave, a heart-wrenching wail came from outside the city.
"That voice... is it Duryodhana?"
"Duryodhana? Oh, that's the incarnation of the demon Kali."
Upon hearing Kama's words, Bai Mo was taken aback. Wasn't the story of the demon Kali reincarnated a myth? And wasn't something amiss? What did he mean by the incarnation of the demon Kali?
The difference between an emanation and a reincarnation is much greater. A reincarnation is about being driven by the fate of the world, while an emanation is about coming into the world with a direct purpose. For example, Krishna was born with Vishnu's purpose of reviving the Dharma.
"You didn't know? I thought that incarnation of Vishnu had told you that Duryodhana is an incarnation of the demon Kali, and that Kali created this thing to wreak havoc on the human world."
This guy isn't human; he's undoubtedly a demon incarnate. Killing him would grant you a huge amount of merit.
Bai Mo suddenly felt his head buzzing. At this moment, Duryodhana was already in great danger. He kept urging the driver to drive the car quickly, as his condition was extremely poor.
He was struck by an arrow in each arm, and another arrow pierced his thigh. In the darkness, he could not see the archer at all.
A skilled archer can snipe a target from a thousand miles away, but now, Duryodhana feels like a beast caught in a hunting ground, with enemy arrows coming from all directions.
Two jet-black arrows fell, one striking the coachman of the Duryodhana, and the other landing on a large tree near the Duryodhana, turning into a crimson mist.
"Cough cough, damn it, who is it? With arrows like these, it couldn't possibly be Asura or Rakshasa. You damned bastard, how dare you ambush a warrior like me in the night! You who have betrayed the Dharma path, you will be punished!"
"No one can fight at night! No one can launch a sneak attack! "the Duryodhana roared angrily. "At this moment, this unknown enemy has committed all of these offenses!"
"Despicable! Who are you really?!"
An arrow pierced the air, striking the Duryodhana in the chest. He gritted his teeth, pulled out the arrow, and blood flowed freely.
Looking back at Sweetness City, he thought to himself, "Could it be that Karna has gone back on his word? Damn it, he really is the coachman's son!"
Throughout the entire ordeal, Duryodhana never considered another great archer. There were only five warriors in the world who could achieve this level of skill: the reclusive Rama with the Axe, Bhishma, Drona, Karna, and the deceased Arjuna.
It couldn't be Arjuna. Not only is he dead, but the son of the God of God, who upheld the Dharma, couldn't possibly have done such a despicable thing. So it could only be Karna.
Duryodhana thought this to himself and decided that if he returned to Hastinapura alive, he would make that coachman's son pay!
In the shadows, the silent archers let out a mocking sneer.
Strange, why hate this enemy? He's so weak, I almost pity him. He has absolutely no ability to fight back, not even as agile as a deer.
As for such a despicable act of sneak attack? Ridiculous! Schemes are never anyone's private domain, nor can they be used by just anyone. And to think that such a despicable act Duryodhana bring us brothers to this point is a fair and square expulsion.
He was to become a righteous and Dharma good person, transforming from a prince into a savage. Meanwhile, this despicable fellow was returning home laden with gold.
In this so-called struggle for the throne, what's the point of talking about brotherhood or caring about the lives of others? If living means killing certain people, then you can all just die.
"Poor fellow, without the protection of the Dharma, someone like you doesn't even deserve to stand before me. Heh heh heh, looks like you still have plenty of energy."
Crimson smoke billowed, and the howls of wild beasts echoed through the forest as countless animals chased after the Duryodhana.
"Prince, the carriage is too heavy; we'll be caught by wild beasts."
The driver screamed in fear, while Duryodhana looked at the driver and then at the cart full of gold.
"You're right. If this continues, we'll all be caught by wild beasts, and once they catch us, we'll be killed by that despicable coachman's son."
"Yes, how can gold compare to life?"
"It's certainly not as valuable as my life."
"Duryodhana," he said, then pulled out a knife from his waist, stabbed the driver, threw him far away, and he crashed into a tree. He then drove away.
"I'm sorry, but it would be terrible if I went back empty-handed and in such a sorry state. You know, the Pandavas are dead, and I'll have to perform well if I want to become the crown prince."
Smelling the blood, many wild beasts chased after the driver, Duryodhana the encirclement to break apart. Dudu immediately drove the carriage away.
