Amrita
The Explosive Fist pierced through Arjuna's body head-on. As the power of the Fantasy Tree flowed into his body, displaying the full extent of every deity's authority, it also caused his inner body to swell. He was unable to defend against or dodge this attack.
The body of the God of the End cracked apart, turning into fragments that floated up.
What he found even harder to accept was Bai Mo's final questioning of his own heart.
If he had truly abandoned everything, he should have used the purest, most direct, and uncompromising method to win, placing his inner desire for victory above all else. But in the end, he still yearned, yearned not only for the result, but also for the path of life itself, to defeat Karna.
Perhaps, as Bai Mo said, there is indeed an evil called "Arjuna" within him.
"Indeed, just as you said, victory will be achieved within three moves."
Arjuna opened his eyes and saw that Bai Mo's body had been completely carbonized, but even so, he could still feel the trace of life force in his body.
"Even the Fantasy Tree, our last trump card, has failed?" A hint of helplessness flashed in Arjuna's eyes. At that moment, a bluish-green light began to emerge from Arjuna's body.
A cool sensation surged through his body, like a light drizzle falling from the sky during the sweltering heat of summer, bringing a refreshing coolness. Gradually, he discovered a strange life force emerging from his body.
This life force was extremely strange; it was not the power of withered trees coming back to life, but rather something like amber resin, which forcibly fixed Arjuna's body in place, keeping him Stillness.
"This is..."
"This is nectar, the Amrita. You have not yet suffered death, have you? This precious treasure obtained from churning the Ocean of Milk can allow a god to maintain life and be reborn when he dies." A voice of explanation came from the side. Kama slowly walked over from the side. When he saw Bai Mo's appearance, a trace of pity and tenderness flashed in his eyes.
On the other side, Bai Mo's determination grew even stronger, and the next moment, a mysterious power erupted from his body once again.
Nine hundred and twenty thousand bolts of power, the Asura Undying Body.
His body was reshaped and his flesh was reconstituted, but it was obvious that his muscles had shrunk, and his breathing was weak.
The Self-Destruction Realm perilous journey, akin to a brush with death each time one enters it. Unlike the past battles where one would wield the Selfless Demon Blade and burn their life force, the Self-Destruction Realm requires activating almost everything within the body to unleash its full power.
Basically, once you enter the Self-Destruction Realm, there is only a one in ten chance of survival. At that point, you can rely not only on strength, but also on the strength of your will.
The difficulty of unleashing a second attack after the first one is self-evident.
"Looks like this battle isn't over yet. You'll have to use your third move. Do you still have the strength?"
Arjuna, lying on the ground, spoke to Bai Mo, Bai Mo shook his head and replied, "No more. If I enter the Self-Destruction Realm again now, the chance of survival is zero."
Kama came up behind Bai Mo, supporting him and putting one arm around his waist. At the same time, Kama said to Arjuna in an annoyed tone:
"I advise you to die sooner rather than later, so that at least your soul can remain. The Amrita you obtained has already been consumed by the gods, and it will only operate in a divine manner."
In other words, Arjuna will still die. The Amrita that God consumed will only grant God eternal life, and it will completely kill you as you are now, not as God.
In the end, all that remained was a god who had crawled out of Arjuna's cocoon—a god utterly devoid of emotion, a god as mechanical as a machine.
"I see... then it doesn't seem so unacceptable." Arjuna looked at the floating Amrita on his body, his words revealing a sense of helplessness mixed with a touch of melancholy.
"I am unworthy to be the God of the End, unworthy to make judgments, so let me simply vanish. The god who will ultimately emerge from my body will raise the sword I was not worthy to raise."
Kama and Bai Mo both sighed softly, as if they had expected this outcome.
So, what choice must be made now? Arjuna's body is bound by the Amrita. To kill him first, one would need to unleash a strike with power exceeding that of before. Can Bai Mo still do that now?
"Honestly, it turns out you didn't listen to anything Karna said at all."
Bai Mo's tone was somewhat helpless, while Kama said in an annoyed tone:
"I think you just need someone to rein you in and lead you around. Before, it was Yudhishthira, and back in Chaldea, it was that Master."
I remember when you asked about your relationship with Draupadi, you didn't seem to have much resistance to the master-servant concept. You don't have any strange fetishes, do you?"
Arjuna, adopted a "I won't say anything until my lawyer arrives" expression, much like a modern person.
"The God of the End you mentioned shouldn't exist at all. Krishna made the decision immediately after learning about your situation."
Arjuna is indeed the imperfection within you, but it is this imperfection, along with everything else, that makes up the individual named Arjuna.
There is no one in the world who can be called perfect, but this world... does not mean that imperfect people are not entitled to live.
Arjuna... even though you are not perfect, there are still people who love your imperfections.
After Bai Mo finished speaking, he and Kama turned and left together. Kama stretched out her hand, and a huge, seven-colored parrot flew over. With a gentle yet forceful gesture, she lifted Bai Mo onto the parrot and placed the exhausted Bai Mo's head on her lap.
Arjuna on the ground struggled to get up, but a gentle hand pressed down on the back of his head, and gradually, he felt a sense of familiarity.
Thousands of years have passed, but he still hasn't forgotten that feeling.
"Kunti's mother?"
Arjuna mouth, his lips dry as he uttered that familiar yet unfamiliar name.
The woman was none other than Arjuna's mother, Kunti. This mortal reached out and gently stroked the hair of the God of the End, her eyes filled with indescribable kindness and heartache.
"It's me, silly child."
A child always has the right to rest on their mother's lap; this is a right that mothers possess.
Meanwhile, within Arjuna, Indra breathed a sigh of relief. He was genuinely worried that Arjuna might go astray and allow the Amrita to distort his inner self. His soul was still intact, but if it were to be reshaped by the Amrita, he would truly be dead.
He is a human being, not a god born of the world.
