Kama, Mara
A beam of light descended from the heavens. Kama stretched out her hand, and there she saw that the ascetic practices and merits she had previously dispersed had not disappeared; instead, they remained beside her, like butterflies accompanying flowers. She reached out her hand tremblingly; these were things she had made the resolve to relinquish.
For some reason, they didn't disperse; for some reason, they didn't leave.
Tiny specks of golden light fell onto her palm, melting away like spring rain, leaving behind a moist feeling.
"It's just as you said."
Time rewinds to the moment when Kama entered the void, Bai Mo was once again sent into the void by the power of the [Maha Pralaya].
He opened his eyes, only to be met with complete darkness, as if someone had extinguished the sun, leaving him without a glimmer of light. He entered many strange places—barriers, the Sea of Imaginary Numbers —but none of them made him feel as uncomfortable as this.
This place is like a meaningless place; there's nothing here, like someone lost in the deep sea, unable to see the direction or know where to go.
"How could the Maha Pralaya have been activated? Even if the gods within Arjuna's body continue to grant him power through his ascetic practices, they shouldn't have allowed him to continue wielding this sword."
If Arjuna could truly wield the power of the gods without restraint, his combat performance wouldn't have been so poor. Arjuna's devouring of the gods was more like storing them within his own body, rather than Bai Wunan's direct absorption of Primordial Spirit cultivation.
Otherwise, if those ancient India deities were completely swallowed up by him, what would happen?
"Thinking about this is useless. Let's think about some tactics before leaving. Luckily, we encountered Kama before entering the Fourth Lostbelt, otherwise it would have been troublesome."
Bai Mo reached out his hand. The faint connection between the Heroic Spirit still existed, so he whispered, "Find me, Kama."
A red thread, like a connecting thread, led Bai Mo in a certain direction. Without doubt, he exerted all his strength and flew towards the direction of the red thread. After an unknown amount of time, he saw something at the end of the red thread.
It was a tiny ray of light, an eight-pointed star-shaped crystal with a deep blue flame burning inside.
Bai Mo picked it up, and a message came from it, telling him that as long as he crushed it, he could leave this place. Looking at the thing in his hand, Bai Mo couldn't help but frown.
Far away, Kama secretly opened his eyes and watched the figure in the distance.
Her eyes were filled with bitterness, and on the other side, a dark figure appeared beside her. It was an androgynous figure that was also staring at Bai Mo, but its eyes were full of hostility.
"Kama, what are you waiting for? Hurry up and go over there. Look at you, you look like a bird that has fallen from a tree because it can't fly."
What's wrong? Aren't you going over there?
"Don't even think about it, unless you get out of my way first, Mara."
Kama's eyes held a hint of disgust. The being beside her at this moment was none other than Mara she had encountered before—an obstacle on Shakyamuni's path to enlightenment.
Upon hearing Kama's words, Mara laughed loudly, "Get out of my way, Kama! Your words are truly hurtful. Do I need to elaborate on what kind of beings we are?"
You and I are obstacles, beings rejected by this world. No matter how things change, this destiny will not change.
A patron saint of the oppressed? Let's just consider that a pointless dream.
Mara's mockery echoed in her mind. At this moment, Mara wanted was for Kama to return to Bai Mo and continue to obstruct this person who was practicing asceticism.
In order to delve into this nothingness, asceticism and merit were abandoned, and Mara's side reappeared. Kama transformed back into the demon king, and a pair of beast crowns reappeared above her head.
"Don't even think about it." Kama's words carried an indescribable firmness.
If he were to go back now, he would definitely lose control in the end, and might even become an obstacle in his path. This was the only thing he absolutely could not do. Even though he had once fallen into beastly ways, Kama clearly understood that this behavior was an absolutely unacceptable evil.
Strangely, even though she was prepared to leave, for some reason, the beast crown on her head seemed to mature even more, a symbol of having received nourishment.
Did staying too long accelerate my growth?
A bitter feeling welled up in Kama's heart. Originally, as a Heroic Spirit, she should not have been able to grow, but Bai Mo created a divine position for her, allowing her to regain the name of a god.
"That's fine..."
Kama lowered her gaze slightly. This was something she had expected, but it still filled her with sadness and grief. She realized then that her heart might not be as strong as she thought.
But since it's already done, there's no going back.
Just leave like that, find a place, close your eyes, and quietly wait for the henchmen of the Counter Force to come and take your life.
Thinking this way, Kama only wanted to see him leave this place at least until the very end.
She turned her gaze back to Bai Mo, only to see him slowly extend his hand, the light of the Command Spell surging forth.
"Kama, where are you? Are you in trouble? Answer me."
"I am here..."
Kama instinctively wanted to speak, but then quickly covered his mouth.
Who on earth designed such a perverse thing as Command Spell? Kama expressed strong dissatisfaction with the way Command Spell exist in the Heroic Spirit Contract, and in the next instant, Bai Mo's figure appeared beside her as if by teleportation.
"You're here. Now's not the time for hide-and-seek, Kama."
Bai Mo's tone carried a hint of helplessness, as if he hadn't even noticed the beast-shaped crown on her head. Upon seeing this, Kama's eyes flashed with a mixture of joy and anger.
"You..." Kama wanted to say something, but didn't know where to begin. Bai Mo noticed that the golden radiance on her body had completely disappeared, and couldn't help but show worry and self-reproach on his face.
"That divine position..."
"No, after all, to enter the void is to enter that state of being burned to ashes. How can ashes support such magnificent garments?"
So just leave me alone, you just..."
While Bai Mo looked apologetic, a hint of approval flashed in his eyes. He patted Kama on the shoulder and sighed softly.
"I'm sorry for causing you trouble. It was my tactical misjudgment."
Seeing Bai Mo lower her head slightly, Kama's pretty face flushed red, and she instantly forgot what she wanted to say. Then, Bai Mo grabbed her wrist and said to her:
"But it's alright, let's go back quickly."
After saying that, he crushed the crystal in his hand without hesitation. A beam of light appeared, and at the end of that light, the situation on the battlefield could be vaguely seen.
