Evacuation
In the mountains surrounding New Darlington, there is a cave concealed by fairy magic, its interior hidden from view. Inside, two figures are walking through a tunnel.
A red figure and a man dressed in black emerged from within. The red figure was a stunningly beautiful red-haired fairy, her red and white dress giving her an aura that seemed completely out of place in this tunnel.
"Ugh, so filthy, my shoes are covered in mud."
"There was nothing we could do about it; it was a tunnel dug temporarily."
The man pushed up his glasses and said with a hint of helplessness, "The two people in front of me are Fairy Knight Tristan who escaped from New Darlington, and Beryl, the Crypter of the Britain Lostbelt."
"Morgan's sudden disappearance has caused the great tree that I was sheltering from to collapse. It won't be long before the various clans launch attacks on New Darlington."
"Thank goodness they chose to use Mors to attack the city, otherwise they would probably have been captured alive."
Upon hearing Beryl's words, the Fairy Knight Tristan's gaze darkened, her eyes filled with worry. "Where did Mother go? She just disappeared so suddenly."
"Hey, don't you have some kind of Command Spell connection with Mother? How come you still can't find her?"
"I can't find it. It probably went to another world and got sealed away because it encountered some trouble."
"How could there possibly be a seal in this world that could seal away a mother, you idiot, Beryl?"
"That's true, it's also possible that she doesn't need us anymore."
Beryl joked, but the next second, the fairy knight's high heels crushed his toes.
"Ouch... it hurts! I was just joking!"
"A joke? If you dare say such a thing again, even if you are Mother's Master, I won't show any mercy. How could Mother abandon me... Watch your words!"
"Okay, okay, I was wrong, please forgive me."
Beryl feigned apology, but inwardly he felt a pang of frustration and helplessness, and couldn't help but think:
The situation took a sharp turn for the worse, it was absolutely terrible, the Servant was Magecraft far more skilled than himself...
Beryl's relationship with Morgan differed from a normal master-servant relationship; the two were more like business partners. Morgan's only goal was Britain, and it was clear that Beryl was completely incapable of achieving her objectives.
Morgan allowed Beryl to stay by her side for one reason: at this time, Morgan was essentially Fairy of Paradise, but her inner self was infused with the Pan-Human History Morgan Spirit Origin Beryl had summoned when he first arrived in Britain.
Although it was a difficult situation, Morgan knew that Beryl's death would indeed cause Morgan some trouble, so Morgan simply decided to keep the guy around.
On the other hand, it was because Morgan's daughter, the Fairy Knight Tristan Morgan, arranged for her to associate with Beryl. After all, the fairies in the Fairy Britain were all despicable, so it wouldn't be bad to make Ba Vanshi a villain, at least she would be the one bullying the fairies instead of being bullied by them.
Moreover, regarding the situation between Ba Wanshi and Beryl, the two seem to get along quite well.
But Beryl has always been very clear about his position. Although he is a Magecraft and an assassin, he knows very well how huge the gap is between him and Morgan.
If one day Morgan had to sacrifice Beryl to save Britain, Beryl Gat was certain that Morgan wouldn't hesitate for even a moment, and as for his own identity Master...
Relying on these three Command Spell? Don't even dream about it.
Although Beryl had never believed such a thing could happen, the fact was... Morgan had disappeared, her whereabouts unknown, and even if Morgan returned, he wouldn't dare appear before her until he figured out her attitude.
Fortunately, the little princess beside him was someone who was easily fooled.
"This unexpected turn of events means that the Chaldea have already arrived. Ah..."
Beryl slowly exhaled, looking towards the distant tunnel with a hopeful and longing expression in his eyes.
"Finally... I can see you again, Mash..."
Just as Beryl was lost in sweet memories, Ba Wanshi suddenly exclaimed, "Mother!"
Then, there was a splash as someone fell into the water.
"What? Morgan's here? How is that possible? Hey, you!" Beryl quickly looked over and then saw the pink-haired girl in an underground river.
But Beryl was naturally calmer, and he immediately realized the situation. Then, with no other choice, he plunged headfirst into the river.
"Why does the River of Tears have underground currents?! Damn it, come back here right now!"
Beryl had no intention of giving up on Ba Vanshi, the little princess who was his greatest asset and his only hope of survival should Morgan turn against him.
Just as Beryl and the others were swept away by the mysteriously appearing River Dracae, in New Darlington, Bai Mo and the Fairy Knight Gawain had already entered the palace.
"Looks like Tristan isn't here. At least he knows to flee when faced with an insurmountable enemy, although in the end, staying here would have been better."
Fairy Knight Gawain looked at the empty palace and said helplessly.
"The result is even better. Are you here to support her?"
Bai Mo's words carried a hint of doubt. The Fairy Knight Tristan was notorious in the Fairy Britain, and Gawain had brought his troops here. If he was only here to relieve the siege, there was no need for him to establish his authority in front of those fairies.
"It wouldn't be wrong to call it support. Fairy Knight Tristan is relatively weak among the fairy knights. If it weren't for Lord Morgan's blessing, her actual combat strength would probably be inferior to that of the Queen Knight."
It's true that she has a terrible reputation in the Fairy Britain, but out of consideration for our past as colleagues, I'm willing to protect her, provided she's willing to change her bad habit of attacking fairies at the drop of a hat."
Fairy Knight Gawain changed the subject, saying, "Moreover... although it's a bit disrespectful to the Queen to say this, since His Majesty disappeared, the Fairy Britain has increasingly tended to descend into chaos. I have no desire for power, but I also have to consider the people under my city's walls."
New Darlington is right next to Norwich. By occupying this city, we can control Norwich, a huge industrial city, gather weapons, and at the same time, form a pincer movement with my territory of Manchester against Camelot...
After all this talk, I still don't know which clan you belong to.
Gawain asked, while Bai Mo looked thoughtful before replying, "I don't know, she didn't tell me which clan she belonged to."
"... Are you a mercenary?"
"Well, I guess so."
Bai Mo pondered his relationship with Morgan. It was true that he needed to resolve the problem in Britain, but his deal with Morgan was not over.
"I see. Well then, I have a suggestion, how about it?"
