Ch. 61Have you heard the story of the Golden Apple?

Bai Mo found that the Holy Grail lacked enough energy to fulfill his wish, then gave it back to Gilgamesh, who proposed that Bai Mo judge the kings’ ideals before deciding what to do with it. Their debate over kingship left Artoria shaken, but before Bai Mo could give his verdict, assassins attacked the gathering and he killed them all with a single strike.

  • Bai Mo tested the Holy Grail, learned from the system that it could not grant his wish, and wished for several people to reunite, but nothing happened.
  • Bai Mo returned the Holy Grail to Gilgamesh and agreed to help investigate the city Gilgamesh feared would be destroyed.
  • Gilgamesh proposed that Bai Mo judge the kings’ ideals before deciding what to do with the Holy Grail, and Iskandar and Artoria agreed.
  • Artoria declared that she wanted to change Britain’s fate, but Iskandar argued that a king should have desires and should not regret the path taken, leaving Artoria questioning herself.
  • Bai Mo noticed assassins surrounding the garden before he could announce his decision, then killed hundreds of them with one strike of the Ksitigarbha Blade.

Ch. 62The World's Finest Emperor

Bai Mo gave Artoria the Holy Grail after explaining why he preferred her ideals of kingship, but Gilgamesh revealed that the Grail could not reverse Britain’s fate. As Artoria collapsed in despair, Bai Mo sensed Illya was in danger and rushed away.

  • Bai Mo gave the Holy Grail to Artoria and argued that her willingness to sacrifice for her people made her a better ruler than Iskandar or Gilgamesh.
  • Artoria thanked Bai Mo, then wished for the Holy Grail to save Britain from destruction.
  • Artoria’s wish failed, and Gilgamesh explained that the Holy Grail was only a store of magical energy and could not undo Britain’s fate.
  • Artoria struck the Holy Grail away in despair, hitting Waver, while Gilgamesh laughed and left.
  • Bai Mo sensed that Illya was in danger and vanished, while Waver was left holding the Holy Grail without anyone willing to claim it.

Ch. 63The children's adventure

Illya and Sakura sneaked out to look for their parents, but they encountered Rin and Ryunosuke Uryu in a dangerous alley. Bai Mo killed Ryunosuke after making him relive the pain he had inflicted on his victims.

  • Illya and Sakura talked about their families, and Sakura revealed that her parents had sent her away and no longer wanted her.
  • Illya persuaded Sakura to sneak out of the hotel with her to find their parents.
  • After wandering through Fuyuki, Illya and Sakura found Rin hiding from Ryunosuke Uryu, who was approaching with two dazed children.
  • Rin shoved a cabinet into Ryunosuke's path and urged Sakura and Illya to run, but Ryunosuke grabbed Rin and reached for the girls.
  • Bai Mo severed Ryunosuke's hand, forced him to experience the pain of his victims, and killed him by cooking his brain with Magnetic Field Power.

Ch. 64The next target

Bai Mo explained Sakura’s past to Rin and promised to keep her away from the Matou Family, then chose to travel to Mifune City despite the danger. Before he could say goodbye to Illya and Sakura, the hotel collapsed, and a Command Spell flashed from the ruins as he went to investigate.

  • Bai Mo scolded Illya for taking Sakura out alone and learned that Rin Tohsaka had come looking for her.
  • Bai Mo told Rin that he had destroyed the Matou Family and rescued Sakura, then showed Rin a memory of the horrors Sakura had faced there.
  • Bai Mo persuaded Rin not to pressure Sakura and arranged for Rin to meet her mother before leaving Rin at a police station.
  • The system offered Bai Mo a choice between Tokyo in a parallel world and Mifune City, and he chose the dangerous trip to Mifune City.
  • Bai Mo sensed that Leyritt and Sella were safe beneath the collapsed hotel, moved Illya and Sakura to a nearby rooftop, and leaped toward a crimson Command Spell in the ruins.

Ch. 65Death of the loyal

Kiritsugu’s attack on the Hyatt Hotel turned into a battle with Lancer and Kayneth, until black mud erupted and swallowed Diarmuid. Bai Mo tried to contain the disaster, but Francesca appeared, and Diarmuid returned transformed to attack Artoria.

  • Kiritsugu destroyed the Hyatt Hotel with explosives, but Lancer ambushed him, forcing him to summon Saber with a Command Spell.
  • Kayneth emerged from the rubble and attacked Kiritsugu with Volumen Hydrargyrum, but Kiritsugu destroyed it with an antique firearm and a special bullet.
  • Black mud erupted beneath the fighters and endangered the evacuated crowd, so Bai Mo struck the ground with his Orca Tyrant Fist to contain its spread.
  • Diarmuid sacrificed himself by throwing Gáe Buidhe to intercept Kiritsugu’s shot, while Kayneth escaped and lost his Command Spells.
  • Francesca emerged from the black mud and greeted Artoria, but Bai Mo cut her in half with a Magnetic Field Heavenly Blade.
  • A transformed Diarmuid emerged from the mud and wounded Artoria, then raised his spear to strike at her neck.

Ch. 66A Warrior's Farewell

Bai Mo stopped Fran from killing Artoria, then challenged the corrupted Diarmuid to the promised duel using martial skill alone. Diarmuid died after Bai Mo defeated him, and Kayneth finally thanked his loyal Servant.

  • Bai Mo saved Artoria from Diarmuid, and Fran announced a confrontation at Ryuudou Temple the next day before disappearing into the Black Mud.
  • Kiritsugu and Artoria prepared to leave, while Kayneth revealed that his Command Spells were gone and Diarmuid remained out of control.
  • Bai Mo returned Gáe Buidhe to Diarmuid and dispelled his own protective power so they could fight using martial skill alone.
  • Bai Mo learned to control the magical energy surging through Diarmuid's twin spears, shattered both weapons, and struck Diarmuid's heart with their colliding energy.
  • Diarmuid asked whether Kayneth was safe, and Kiritsugu offered Kayneth an Origin Bullet and proposed that they join forces against Francesca.
  • Diarmuid said he had wished to serve Kayneth, who thanked him, and the Servant dissolved into golden light.

Ch. 67A united front

After Irisviel was kidnapped, Bai Mo and the others learned that the Holy Grail could not grant Kiritsugu Emiya’s wish. They formed a united front to rescue her and stop Francesca, while Kayneth investigated Caster’s concealment magic.

  • Bai Mo realized Irisviel had been taken after Artoria left the Einzbern castle, and he brought the others to safety without telling Illya.
  • Artoria told the group what happened at the meeting of the three kings, and Kiritsugu Emiya learned the Holy Grail could not grant his wish.

  • Bai Mo agreed to stay and fight Francesca, persuading Kayneth and the others to join forces with him.
  • Kayneth arranged to contact the Clock Tower and the Holy Church and offered to recruit Waver, while Kiritsugu shared his plans for Ryuudou Temple.
  • Bai Mo revealed that Caster was still alive and showed Kayneth the magic circle he used to conceal his presence.

Ch. 68A late-night talk

Bai Mo talked with Artoria about her wish to change Britain’s fate and persuaded her to stop denying herself and live in the present. As the final battle approached, Kayneth and Kiritsugu Emiya argued over their plans and loyalties while preparing for the fight at Ryuudou Temple.

  • Bai Mo found Artoria eating late at night, and she admitted she wanted the Holy Grail to change the events that led to Britain’s fall.
  • Bai Mo argued that Artoria’s wish would amount to surrendering Britain to Morgan, and Artoria abandoned the idea of changing her past.
  • Bai Mo encouraged Artoria to live in the present and asked her to look after Sakura after the Holy Grail War; Artoria agreed to protect Sakura and Irisviel’s group.
  • Kiritsugu Emiya prepared his sniper rifle on the rooftop while Kayneth sent information to the Clock Tower about Beelzebub and Bai Mo.
  • Kayneth confronted Kiritsugu over his readiness to act when Lancer died and threatened him over Sola-Ui, while Kiritsugu said he wanted the Holy Grail destroyed.

Ch. 69The Devouring Barrier

Bai Mo entered the Black Mud barrier at Ryuudou Temple and fought Fran, who claimed the barrier would steadily devour him and that she could regenerate indefinitely. He used the Orca Tyrant Fist to disrupt her restoration and seized her as her body began to shatter.

  • Rider tested the barrier with his chariot, but Iskandar found that it devoured magical energy and told Bai Mo to stay outside.
  • Artoria entered the temple as part of a feint and fought Gilles de Rais, Berserker, and the sea demons while the barrier drained her magical energy.
  • Bai Mo confronted Fran in the temple and withstood her strongest magical attack before striking her with the Orca Tyrant Fist.
  • Fran regenerated from the Black Mud and claimed Bai Mo could not defeat her unless he destroyed Fuyuki's ley lines.
  • Bai Mo used Magnetic Field Power to track Fran's restoration and struck her again, causing her body to crack apart as he grabbed her head.

Ch. 70Breaking the boundary

Bai Mo broke Francesca’s barrier with a Magecraft crystal, freeing the other combatants to act. He cornered Francesca and demanded to know where Irisviel was, but when she presented the Holy Grail, Gilles de Rais appeared and was cut in half by a blade.

  • Bai Mo shattered Francesca’s illusion barrier after using a Magecraft crystal made from Mr. Ruruga’s remains.
  • Saber regained her strength and struck Berserker, while Iskandar’s chariot trampled Caster’s sea monsters and Caster vanished in bloody smoke.
  • Gilgamesh left the Tohsaka residence in Vimana and flew toward Ryuudou Temple.
  • Bai Mo broke through the rock above Francesca and demanded that she reveal Irisviel’s location.
  • Francesca raised the Holy Grail and claimed Irisviel was there, as Gilles de Rais appeared and was severed at the waist by a blade.

Ch. 71Demon blood

Bai Mo took the Holy Grail from Fran and discovered a vision of Irisviel within it before Black Mud erupted from beneath Ryuudou Temple. As Francesca wielded the mud’s power against Fuyuki, Bai Mo charged into her attack.

  • Bai Mo killed Gilles de Rais, took the Holy Grail from Fran, and saw a grotesque mass of Irisviel-like bodies as the Grail’s energy surged.
  • Illya sensed that Irisviel was in danger and rushed toward Ryuudou Temple with Leyritt, while Bai Mo evacuated the others and carved a trench to contain the erupting Black Mud.
  • Francesca appeared atop the Black Mud and questioned why Gilles de Rais’s death did not make her sad; Kiritsugu Emiya ordered Artoria to destroy the eruption with her Noble Phantasm.
  • The Black Mud swallowed Artoria’s holy sword’s radiance, and Kirei Kotomine identified Francesca’s power as Beelzebub’s Authority of Gluttony, explaining that she had connected herself to Fuyuki’s ley lines.
  • Francesca unleashed a vast torrent of black magical energy at the group, and Bai Mo charged into it and spread the energy across the sky.

Ch. 72Where the king was headed

Francesca continued attacking Bai Mo while drawing power from Fuyuki’s ley lines, so Iskandar decided to trap her and the black mud inside his Reality Marble while Bai Mo severed the Holy Grail’s connection. Iskandar and Waver charged into battle together, while Zouken Matou appeared before Tokiomi Tohsaka at the Tohsaka residence.

  • Francesca explained that she was grateful her friend had died to help her pursue her blasphemous ambition, and she repeatedly regenerated as Bai Mo attacked her.
  • Waver offered the Holy Grail as a weapon, but Iskandar rejected the idea and proposed trapping Francesca inside Ionioi Hetairoi while Bai Mo dealt with the Grail beneath it.
  • Iskandar explained to Waver why he would not use the Grail to gain a body, and Waver spent all three Command Spells ordering Rider to follow his wishes, fulfill his wish, and return victorious.
  • Iskandar pulled Waver back beside him, then charged Francesca in his chariot and drew her and the black mud into his Reality Marble as Gilgamesh watched.
  • Zouken Matou entered Tokiomi Tohsaka’s room and claimed he had come to help, prompting Tokiomi to raise his cane and activate bounded fields.

Ch. 73The call

Bai Mo brought Illya into the Holy Grail to search for Irisviel’s soul, and Illya managed to reach her mother inside the mass of twisted flesh. As Irisviel appeared close to death, Bai Mo unleashed a tremendous power and began a desperate attempt to change her fate.

  • Bai Mo told Illya that Irisviel could still be saved and asked whether she wanted to try, despite Kiritsugu Emiya’s objections.
  • Bai Mo protected Illya with his power and took her to the Holy Grail beneath the pit.
  • Inside the darkness, Bai Mo urged Illya to sense Irisviel, and Illya reached toward the heap of flesh despite her fear.
  • Illya’s call reached Irisviel, and Bai Mo pulled her out of the mass of flesh.
  • Irisviel said goodbye to Illya as her ruined body neared death, but Bai Mo interrupted and unleashed immense power, slicing off part of the Holy Grail while crimson branches and bone marrow emerged from his right hand.

Ch. 74The Account Settler

Zouken tricked Tokiomi into believing he could help him claim the Greater Grail, but Tokiomi used their secret code to turn the plan against Francesca. As Bai Mo destroyed the Holy Grail and confronted Francesca, she broke free of the Chains of Heaven and was struck down, while Artoria saw a vision of a four-winged ruler.

  • Zouken told Tokiomi that Francesca controlled the Greater Grail and urged him to use Gilgamesh's powers against Bai Mo.
  • Bai Mo recreated Irisviel's heart, brought her and Illya to the surface, and destroyed the Holy Grail.
  • A soldier carrying Waver warned everyone that a black mud monster was about to emerge, and Gilgamesh prepared to attack.
  • Tokiomi revealed that Zouken had secretly sent him a coded message instructing him to have Archer kill Francesca and take the Greater Grail.
  • Tokiomi's Chains of Heaven bound Francesca, but she broke free as Ea's sword winds swept over the battlefield.
  • Bai Mo punched through Francesca and turned her body into bloody mist, while Artoria saw a vision of suffering beneath a four-winged figure.

Ch. 75Fallen angel

After Bai Mo killed Francesca, Beelzebub appeared as a Beast of Humanity, summoned through the Greater Grail and Ea. Gilgamesh ordered Artoria to attack, but Beelzebub erased the holy sword’s radiance and the Noble Phantasms.

  • Bai Mo and Gilgamesh identified the towering four-winged figure as Beelzebub.
  • Gilgamesh explained that Tokiomi had used Ea to kill Francesca, inadvertently enabling Beelzebub to descend.
  • Tokiomi’s plan was revealed: he had feared Francesca might use the Greater Grail against Bai Mo and wanted to secure the path to the Root for himself.
  • Beelzebub condemned humanity and raised a finger as the threat of plague spread fear among those present.
  • Gilgamesh opened the Gate of Babylon and urged Artoria to attack Beelzebub with her holy sword.
  • Artoria’s radiance and the Noble Phantasms vanished into darkness when Beelzebub rubbed his fingers together.

Ch. 76Repatriation

Waver remembered Iskandar's sacrifice and carried the Holy Grail out of the collapsing Reality Marble. Bai Mo confronted Beelzebub, whose appearance was not meant to unleash a disaster, and demanded that he return to hell.

  • Inside Ionioi Hetairoi, Iskandar told Waver to take the Holy Grail and preserve it as a contingency for the future.
  • Waver accepted Iskandar as his one and only king, and Iskandar sent a soldier to lead him to safety before charging Fran.
  • Waver gripped the Holy Grail and watched Beelzebub as Bai Mo fought him amid deadly plagues.
  • Bai Mo damaged Beelzebub with his attacks and threatened to kill him if he spread a plague.
  • Beelzebub said he had not come to unleash disaster and could barely manifest through his descendant's soul, so Bai Mo ordered him back to hell.

Ch. 77Interlude

Beelzebub tried to persuade Bai Mo that humanity deserved repeated slaughter, but Bai Mo rejected his reasoning and prepared to fight. Waver summoned Metatron to stop Beelzebub, but she was quickly defeated, leaving Bai Mo alone against the demon.

  • Beelzebub showed Bai Mo the ruin of a wealthy man who had traded his soul for prosperity and argued that humanity’s corruption required slaughter.
  • Bai Mo rejected Beelzebub’s argument, and their auras collided as Waver summoned a being who could stop the demon.
  • Metatron descended through Jeanne d'Arc’s Spirit Origin and challenged Beelzebub, while Illya urged Bai Mo to leave the fight to her.
  • Beelzebub revealed his extra wings and defeated Metatron with a sword strike, prompting him to explain that she was inexperienced and unable to manifest her full strength.
  • Metatron refused to prioritize saving Japan or support Bai Mo with a blessing, instead healing herself and cheering him on as Bai Mo and Beelzebub faced each other alone.

Ch. 78The Paths of Gods and Men

Bai Mo fought Beelzebub, who sought to remake the world and rebirth humanity as perfect beings. Bai Mo defeated and destroyed him, leaving Beelzebub’s plans in ruins.

  • Beelzebub argued that humanity’s imperfections justified the plagues and suffering he inflicted, and Bai Mo rejected his reasoning.
  • Bai Mo answered that humans needed God because they were not flawless, unsettling Beelzebub and prompting him to declare that humanity must be reborn in a perfect new world.
  • Beelzebub unleashed his Gluttony authority, which devoured most of his opponents’ power, but Bai Mo continued to hold the advantage.
  • Bai Mo used Limitless Tremor Zen to plant power inside Beelzebub, then triggered a yin-yang vortex that concentrated the absorbed energy and severed him at the waist.
  • Bai Mo struck Beelzebub with the Orca Tyrant Fist and destroyed his body in the mortal world.

Ch. 79Afterword 1

Kayneth returned to London and recorded the aftermath of the battle, while the surviving participants dealt with Beelzebub's banishment and Metatron's departure. The chapter ended with Kirei Kotomine breaking down after Metatron refused to answer his questions and declared that her will was the Lord's will.

  • Kayneth arrived in London with Reines and explained that Bai Mo had handled Beelzebub, though his official notes would present events differently.
  • After Beelzebub was banished, Berserker vanished, the damaged ley lines disrupted the Greater Grail ritual, and Gilgamesh departed, leaving Artoria as the other remaining Servant.
  • Metatron thanked Bai Mo for banishing Beelzebub and awarded him a medal, which he reluctantly pocketed.
  • Kirei Kotomine asked Metatron to explain his lack of emotions, but she refused, saying her duty was only to banish Beelzebub.
  • Metatron declared that her will was the Lord's will and disappeared, leaving Kirei Kotomine in despair as he laughed and wailed.
  • Kayneth decided to revise his report about Metatron to avoid being branded a heretic.

Ch. 80Afterstory 2

In Hell, Beelzebub decided to use a demon as his proxy to reach Bai Mo, whom he hoped would help him understand the boundary between gods and humans. At the Emiya Residence, Bai Mo agreed to visit Touko Aozaki for Kiritsugu, then encountered Francesca at the door and struck her down.

  • Beelzebub asked Lucifer how he distinguished fallen angels from demons, then decided Bai Mo could serve as his guide and sought human advice on how to delegate the task.
  • After questioning more than a hundred sinners, Beelzebub chose a powerful demon with a connection to Bai Mo to act on his behalf.
  • At the renovated Emiya Residence, Kiritsugu told Bai Mo he had given up on saving the world and wanted Illya and Sakura to grow up normally.
  • Bai Mo told Illya he planned to leave and agreed to visit Mifune City to deliver Kiritsugu's message to Touko Aozaki about Illya's health.
  • Bai Mo set out for the Hyatt Hotel memorial service, but Francesca appeared at the door and he smashed her head with one strike.
