Chapters 276–300 Vol. 3 Read

Ch. 276Eight Hundred Li of Yunmeng Marsh

Nearly half a year after Wu Yi’s attack on Heaven, Li Boyang and Xiluo discussed the worsening natural disasters and the consequences of Wu Yi’s actions. Li Boyang concluded that the Hundred Lands Mountain Range’s balanced Yuan Qi was helping restore order, while the ancient beings Wu Yi had targeted were likely suffering too.

  • Xiluo ended her long silence with Li Boyang and explained she had been angry because he had not trusted her, while expressing concern about his worsening sleep and the voices he heard.
  • Xiluo urged Li Boyang to abandon his pursuit of the Golden Core and focus on becoming Yunmeng Marsh’s god as the disasters outside grew worse.
  • Li Boyang described how rising seawater was flooding inland and threatening crops, fisheries, groundwater, and coastlines beyond what ordinary flood control could manage.
  • Xiluo worried that Wu Yi might still be alive and cause trouble from his body on Flying Peak, but Li Boyang reassured her that Wu Yi could no longer spare attention for it.
  • Li Boyang explained that Wu Yi had overturned the existing order and that the ancient beings he had glimpsed were likely faring no better than Wu Yi.
  • Li Boyang reflected that the Hundred Lands Mountain Range’s stable Yuan Qi was helping restore order to Heaven and Earth, though Wu Yi had recognized only the Federation of the Xia and a few gifted individuals as humanity.

Ch. 277Third Edition: Diagram of Mountains, Rivers, and the Land (2/3)

Li Boyang finished restoring the Diagram of Mountains, Rivers, and the Land, which now showed locations far beyond the Hundred Lands Mountain Range. He demonstrated that it could display real-time scenes across the map, including Li Household Village and the ruined Guifang Kingdom.

  • Li Boyang reflected on the strange voices he heard and the villages destroyed after gods lost their protection.
  • Li Boyang explained that the Human-Faced Fish had used the River Chart to record waterways, helping expand the Diagram of Mountains, Rivers, and the Land.
  • Xiluo asked about the rift valley and how the restored Diagram compared with the Taiji Diagram.
  • Li Boyang displayed a real-time view of Li Household Village, showing its residents working, studying, and guarding the nearby hills.
  • Li Boyang shifted the Diagram's view to the ruins of Guifang Kingdom, where the Roaring Heaven Clan had vanished.

Ch. 278Spirits nurtured by the mountain forests (3/3)

Li Boyang remembered the gourd vines behind Chi’s shrine and watched as the spirits they had nurtured came to fruition. When the Ginseng Doll told One-Horned Incantation that the vine had borne fruit, he rushed toward it in excitement, using Li Boyang’s Riding Clouds and Driving Mist Divine Ability.

  • Li Boyang brought the Diagram of Mountains, Rivers, and the Land back to the Mountain God Reservoir and recalled the gourd vines Chi had planted behind her shrine.
  • The chapter explained that the hardy vines had secretly nurtured spirits, and that villagers treated the reservoir with special care because of Chi and its protective Human-Faced Fish.
  • One-Horned Incantation rested in the village stream while the villagers tolerated his wandering as long as he returned home at night.
  • The Ginseng Doll told One-Horned Incantation that the gourd vine had borne fruit and that his child was about to be born.
  • One-Horned Incantation carried the Ginseng Doll uphill at a gallop, inadvertently using Li Boyang’s Riding Clouds and Driving Mist Divine Ability.

Ch. 279A Gourd Vine? An Innate Deity! (1/3)

One-Horned Incantation arrived at Mountain God Reservoir to see Chi and the ginseng child, and the chapter recounted how a stolen gourd vine became an innate deity after absorbing Ba Jun’s vitality. Li Boyang had agreed to help it grow, but its eventual birth remained uncertain amid the upheaval in heaven and earth.

  • One-Horned Incantation reached Mountain God Reservoir, where Chi surfaced and greeted him.
  • The chapter revealed that Ba Jun had persuaded One-Horned Incantation to steal the Witch of the Huai River’s gourd vine, which drained Ba Jun’s vitality and helped bring about her defeat.
  • After escaping Ghost God Cliff with the vine, One-Horned Incantation learned from Chi that it was alive and had become an innate deity by absorbing Ba Jun’s essence.
  • Chi offered to care for the vine while One-Horned Incantation sought Li Boyang’s help, prompting him to submit and later explain his request after helping quell a flood.
  • Li Boyang agreed to provide for the vine, while the narration noted that the innate deity’s birth could face unforeseen dangers as heaven and earth’s order changed.

Ch. 280Please call me Your Majesty! (2/3)

Li Boyang and the others reached Chi’s shrine, where they learned that the gourd vines had entered defense mode. Chi revealed her mastery of the Yin-Yang Talisman Incantation, and Li Boyang offered to teach her at Flying Peak; the group then followed her through the vines toward the shrine to discover what had stirred his spiritual perception.

  • Ginseng Doll eagerly recognized Li Boyang, then traded insults with Xiluo until Li Boyang stopped their bickering and asked how they could pass the defensive gourd vines.
  • Chi changed into human form and revealed a Taiji-patterned dress that showed she had mastered the complete Yin-Yang Talisman Incantation.
  • Li Boyang praised Chi’s growth, thanked her for guarding the Mountain God Reservoir, and invited her to attend individual lessons at Flying Peak each afternoon.
  • Chi approached the shrine, and the gourd vines withdrew to open a shaded path for the group.

Ch. 281Mind-to-Mind Transmission of the Dao; the Teaching Reaches No Third Pair of Ears (3/3)

Li Boyang used his Mind-Reading Divine Ability to learn that something was threatening the gold and silver gourds and helped them remain safe inside their shells while they cultivated. The gourds rapidly advanced their development by draining the surrounding land, leaving Xiluo alarmed by the loss of fertility.

  • Li Boyang and the others reached the gold and silver gourds, where the golden gourd struggled to escape its vine while the silver gourd lazily stirred.
  • Xiluo warned that the gourds faced extraordinary danger, and Li Boyang checked the Heavenly Mandate Bone Plastron before opening his Heavenly Eye.
  • Li Boyang read the gourds’ thoughts and learned that the golden gourd sensed something was trying to prevent their birth.
  • Li Boyang reassured both gourds, told them to stay inside their protective shells, and taught them cultivation methods to strengthen themselves.
  • The gourds drew in their divine light and absorbed nutrients from the soil, rapidly developing as the land’s fertility collapsed and Xiluo sensed the damage.

Ch. 282Semi-Automated · Fertile Soil Edition · Xirang (1/3)

Li Boyang used a modified Xirang to restore the land around the Mountain God Reservoir and nourish the gold and silver gourds, whose accelerated growth triggered ominous thunderclouds. Li Run and the villagers began emergency protocols, and a boy concluded that a deity was involved.

  • Li Boyang revealed a handful of Xirang and spread it across the desertified ground, rebuilding the earth veins and creating fertile soil.
  • Xiluo realized Li Boyang had modified the Xirang so it could restore soil without spreading uncontrollably, though it still required him to prepare it beforehand.
  • The potent Xirang nourished the gold and silver gourds until they grew beyond their normal limits, and dark clouds and lightning gathered above the Mountain God Reservoir.
  • Li Run activated the warning protocols and rushed to the main sluice gate control center to prepare for a possible downpour.
  • A boy used his divination methods to investigate the thunderclouds but could not trace them, concluding that they had something to do with a deity.

Ch. 283Primordial Qi backlash, a heavenly tribulation upon entering the world (2/3)

Wu Yi’s interference with the circulation of primordial Qi caused a lightning tribulation to strike the gold and silver gourds as they formed. The gourds endured the trial, became a golden dragon boy and a silver dragon girl, and thanked Li Boyang and the others.

  • Li Boyang explained that Wu Yi had made the birth of Innate Deities trigger a primordial Qi backlash, sending lightning against the gourd vines and their gourds.
  • The gold and silver gourds absorbed the lightning to hasten their formation, but the silver gourd began to falter under the continued strikes.
  • The gold gourd broke free and shielded the silver gourd, which then broke free as well and manifested a silver dragon hatchling that pierced the thunderclouds with Sword Qi.
  • The gold gourd manifested a golden dragon hatchling, and Li Boyang dispersed the remaining clouds after the two hatchlings faced the tribulation.
  • The golden dragon hatchling transformed into a boy and thanked Li Boyang, while the silver dragon hatchling became a girl and thanked the others.

Ch. 284Human-Dragon Transformation Method (3/3)

Li Boyang explained how his Human-Dragon Transformation Method had given the golden- and silver-haired children powerful human and dragon forms, then collected their gourds and lightning-charged vines. At Yunmeng Marsh, Kingfisher arrived carrying the dying Qinghe, and Hanging Silk Lady led her to someone who could save her.

Ch. 286Compound Talisman Incantation (2/3)

Li Boyang assigned Golden Boy and Silver Boy their first duties as temple attendants, then considered how to turn their gold and silver gourds into divine artifacts. With Xiluo’s suggestion, he began planning to use the gourds to explore Compound Talisman Incantations.

  • Li Boyang appointed Golden Boy and Silver Boy as temple attendants, sending Jinjiao to escort Kingfisher and Yinjiao to tend the gourd vines with Nüman's incarnations.
  • Xiluo questioned Li Boyang’s casual names and his decision to treat the Innate Deities as children, then accepted that she could act as their family.

  • Jinjiao brought Kingfisher and Qinghe to the mountain god's temple, where Li Boyang confirmed that Lingguzi had saved Qinghe's life.
  • Kingfisher explained that the southern coast had been swallowed by seawater and that Qinghe had been injured while delaying sea gods and monsters so her people could retreat.
  • Xiluo challenged Kingfisher over why the Hundred Lands' gods were not handling the disaster, and Kingfisher defended her past assistance and described their reluctance to fight.
  • Li Boyang questioned Kingfisher about the South Sea, but she said she knew little more than he did and confirmed that Granny had already mobilized the willing gods.
  • After learning that the gods were only probing the enemy and might flee, Li Boyang examined the Heavenly Mandate Bone Plastron and concluded that the situation might not yet be at its worst.

Ch. 288The bottom rung of the family (1/3)

Li Boyang returned to Li Household Village and reunited with his parents, apologizing to Chen Yun for making them worry. He discovered that she had neglected her Breathing Method and given his pills to the children, and he urged her to take better care of herself.
