Arc 26The Mystic Garden Expansion

Li Boyang defeated the Water Mother Primordial Lady’s scheme, reshaped the world, and arranged for Ji Meng’s dragons to govern the four seas. As the Hundred Lands Mountain Range expanded its Mystic Garden Barrier, a war with Great Xia and a plan to capture the Golden Ao drew the Longbo Giants and East Sea Dragon Race into the struggle.

  • Li Boyang entered Ji Meng’s ocean world, exposed the Water Mother Primordial Lady as its mastermind, and used the Sun and Moon Pot to subdue her world and preserve it through time.
  • Li Boyang merged the Dragon Transformation Platform with the Sun and Moon Pot and refined the present world into a five-dimensional structure, while Wangshu defeated and dismembered Ji Meng.
  • Li Boyang assigned Ji Meng’s four sons to govern the four seas and helped the Dragon Race and Water Race adapt to their new homes.
  • Li Boyang encountered the Longbo Giants, helped Luo Qiao and Yao Xi fight the Golden Ao, and urged Luo Qiao to preserve the history of the fallen Longbo Kingdom.
  • Yinglong revealed that the Longbo Giants would become a pilot site for the Mystic Garden Barrier, while Great Xia’s opposition to Xingtian City’s exports of mechanical beasts escalated into war.
  • The mountain folk broke Great Xia’s siege of Xingtian City, and Fu Kui established the Nine Provinces Barrier as the Mystic Garden Barrier expanded into Kunlun.
  • The Longbo Giants prepared to trap the Golden Ao with Yinglong’s electrical net, while the East Sea Dragon Race agreed to help establish the Mystic Garden Barrier if its sea life remained unharmed.
  • Divine Lord Meng Zhang explained that the Golden Ao had been guided to the East Sea to reach a headless Buddha statue from Biyou Palace, which could reflect the forms of all things.

  • Mount Sumeru shook, and Śakra · Indra asked what had happened as he surveyed his unfinished Heavenly Emperor's City.
  • A Garuda told Śakra · Indra that the Nagas had opened a complete new world through a vortex on Mount Sumeru.
  • Li Boyang arrived at the vortex and saw Ji Meng's vast ocean world, then challenged him for linking it to the present world through the Four Seas' sea eyes.
  • Ji Meng refused to be dissuaded and told Li Boyang that he would have to destroy the world or fight him there to stop his Dao attainment.
  • Li Boyang warned that he could erase Ji Meng across all timelines, but Ji Meng laughed and declared that he did not fear death.

Ch. 627The Queen Mother's Five Punishments, the Dragon Lord's Four Sons

Ch. 628An Ancient God's Dao Proving?

Li Boyang confronted Dragon Lord Ji Meng in the underwater world and sent him into the Zhoutian Star Dou Grand Formation in the Yunmeng Jade Pool Realm. Wangshu challenged Ji Meng there as he transformed into a colossal dragon, leaving their battle underway.

  • Li Boyang reached Ji Meng’s immense crystal palace and questioned why Ji Meng was rushing to sacrifice the aquatic races for their rise.
  • Ji Meng attacked Li Boyang with lightning, but Li Boyang used the Heaven and Earth Ring to send him into the Yunmeng Jade Pool Realm.
  • Wangshu appeared from the Great Yin Star and challenged Ji Meng within the Zhoutian Star Dou Grand Formation.
  • Ji Meng tried to return through the closing ring, but Wangshu trapped him with the formation and forced him to face her.
  • Ji Meng transformed into a colossal dragon and battled Wangshu among the stars, drawing the attention of the realm’s inhabitants.

Ch. 629Incarnations of Concepts, Primordial Gods

Li Boyang uncovered that an ancient god from before Xihe’s era had created the Dragon Transformation Platform and used Dragon Lord Ji Meng as a piece in an attempt to escape its destined death. The ancient god explained that its death was necessary for water and all later life to arise, and revealed that it had personally nurtured the first Dragon Race to alter its fate.

  • Li Boyang concluded that Ji Meng had been concealing the true mastermind and that the Dragon Transformation Platform had given rise to both the Dragon Race and Ji Meng.
  • The ancient god emerged from the ocean and asked when Li Boyang had begun to suspect it.
  • Li Boyang cited Ji Meng’s use of the term “Water Race” and the Dragon Race’s instinctive fighting style as clues that Ji Meng was not the mastermind.
  • Li Boyang identified the mastermind as a primordial god from before Xihe’s era, and the god admitted that Li Boyang’s teachings had awakened its intelligence and let it perceive the future.
  • The ancient god explained that its death had to precede the birth of water and living beings, making its attempt to survive likely to draw opposition from Dao Proving Ones.
  • The ancient god said it had personally nurtured the first Dragon Race as a way to change its ordained fate.

Ch. 630Contain Mount Sumeru in a Mustard Seed, Hide the Sun and Moon in a Pot

Li Boyang battled the ancient god as Samadhi True Fire began refining the ocean world, while the god used the world itself to attack him. Li Boyang broke the god’s giant palm with two pills and revealed that he stood outside the world, treating it as a teapot in his hands.

  • The ancient god explained that Ji Meng had acted too eagerly and that he had underestimated Li Boyang when he flooded the land.
  • Li Boyang summoned the Eight Trigrams Furnace and used Samadhi True Fire to burn the ancient god’s ocean world.
  • The ancient god unleashed waves to slow the fire, sacrificing many shrimp soldiers, crab generals, and dragon descendants in the resulting disasters.
  • The ancient god formed a giant palm from the world to seize Li Boyang, but Li Boyang’s Premonition Divine Ability showed him that escape was impossible from within it.
  • Li Boyang sent two pills into the sky, shattered the giant palm, and transformed them into the sun and moon that subdued the ocean.
  • Li Boyang appeared above the world and declared that he regarded it as a teapot held in his hands.

Ch. 631A pot to contain the four rivers, a mouth to swallow the eight wildernesses

Li Boyang formed the [Sun and Moon Pot] to seize the God of Time Immemorial’s Great Dao and bind his world to the river of history, making it harder for him to rewrite his fate. The pot’s creation sent waves through time, giving other Dao Proving Ones a chance to resist their own predestined fates, though Xihe believed Li Boyang would prevent history from being rewritten.

  • The God of Time Immemorial realized Li Boyang intended to seize his Great Dao and preserve its world in the river of history.
  • The Queen Mother of the West subdued four dragons, recorded their names, and looked toward the river of time as the Dao Proving Ones turned their attention to Li Boyang.
  • Li Boyang completed the [Sun and Moon Pot], which roared with the God of Time Immemorial’s power and sent waves surging through the river of time.
  • The Queen Mother of the West recognized that the ancient god came from an era too distant for her to see clearly.
  • Xihe told the newly hatched Golden Crow that Li Boyang’s era offered Dao Proving Ones freedom from the constraints that trapped those in the past and future.

Ch. 632At the Dawn of Creation, the Water Mother Primordial Lady

Li Boyang obtained the Dragon Transformation Platform from the Water Mother Primordial Lady and merged it with the Sun and Moon Pot. After he departed, the Netherworld Lord revealed that their exchange established a tacit understanding with the Dao Ancestor, while he suspected Li Boyang had a grander purpose for the artifacts.

  • The Water Mother Primordial Lady offered Li Boyang the Dragon Transformation Platform in exchange for a condition, and he agreed without asking what it was.
  • Li Boyang said he would not harm the Dragon Lord and the other dragon kings, and the Water Mother Primordial Lady handed him the Dragon Transformation Platform.
  • Li Boyang merged the Dragon Transformation Platform with the Sun and Moon Pot, then learned the ancient god's name was Water Mother Primordial Lady before vanishing.
  • The Netherworld Lord appeared and explained that he had helped refine the Dragon Transformation Platform, and that Li Boyang's taking it created a tacit understanding between them.
  • The Netherworld Lord said he was not afraid Li Boyang would use the artifact against him, because he believed Li Boyang had a greater purpose.

Ch. 633Refining Heaven and Earth into a Pill, the Palace of Eight Visions

Li Boyang used the [Sun and Moon Pot] as a catalyst to refine heaven and earth, expanding the land, oceans, and celestial bodies while transforming the world’s primordial energy. Jinjiao broke through his bottleneck by recognizing the process, while the Queen Mother of the West watched as the upheaval began causing catastrophic changes across the world.

  • The land and oceans expanded as mountains rose, and Jinjiao realized the entire world was cleaving heaven from earth anew.
  • Jinjiao recognized the world’s transformation as pill refinement and identified the [Sun and Moon Pot] in Li Boyang’s hand as its catalyst.
  • Jinjiao broke through his bottleneck, glimpsed the river of time, and saw Li Boyang using the [Sun and Moon Pot] to alter the present world.
  • The Queen Mother of the West arrived as Li Boyang transformed the [Sun and Moon Pot] into the Palace of Eight Visions and summoned the Eight Trigrams Furnace into its center.
  • The Queen Mother of the West saw the Palace of Eight Visions convert Heaven and Earth Primordial Qi, while the expanding world brought earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, and deadly changes in gravity.

Ch. 634The fifth dimension, higher-dimensional spacetime

The world underwent an ongoing ascent into higher dimensions, changing the balance of power and allowing Dao Proving Ones to briefly escape time. Wangshu defeated Dragon Lord Ji Meng in battle and questioned him while waiting for her Teacher to return.

  • The Eight Trigrams Furnace began transforming the world into a five-dimensional structure, making its land, oceans, and resources effectively infinite to ordinary beings.
  • The Dao Proving Ones realized the world's dimensional ascent would continue and force them to keep advancing to retain their status.
  • In the Yunmeng Jade Pool Realm, the strengthened [Zhoutian Star Dou Grand Formation] turned the battle in Wangshu's favor and bound Ji Meng with chains of stars.
  • Ji Meng raised his dimensionality to escape the formation, but the strain burst the scales across his body.
  • Wangshu beheaded Ji Meng and then dismembered him with the [Seven Stars Treasured Sword], leaving his pieces unable to resist.
  • Wangshu asked Ji Meng what he wanted to say while they waited for her Teacher to return.

Ch. 635Volume's end: the four seas and eight wildernesses, the Water Race takes its place

Wangshu spared Ji Meng and his four sons, while Li Boyang arranged for the surviving dragons and Water Race to settle in the expanded four seas under Divine Lord Meng Zhang and the other sea rulers. Ao Guang accepted his role in the East Sea, where he and his brothers would help their people adapt but were forbidden to leave the seas without permission.

  • Wangshu told Li Boyang and Xiluo that she had kept Ji Meng alive, while his dismembered pieces formed a belt of stars around the Great Yin Star.
  • Li Boyang proposed that Ji Meng's four sons manage the four seas and revealed that he had also saved the dragon offspring and shrimp soldiers and crab generals.
  • Divine Lord Meng Zhang welcomed Ao Guang to the East Sea, explained that his brothers had been sent to the other seas, and tasked him with helping the Dragon Race and Water Race adapt.
  • Divine Lord Meng Zhang told Ao Guang that none of the new arrivals could leave the four seas without permission.
  • Miaoshan accepted the arrangement in the South Sea, Wu Xian enforced it in the West Sea despite objections, and Shang Yang brought Zhenwu to receive Ao Shun and the others in the North Sea.

Ch. 636The Great Transformation of Heaven and Earth

Ten years after heaven and earth transformed, the Three-Eyed Holy Demons spread aid, cultivation, and technology while the world expanded dramatically. Li Boyang met a surviving Longbo Giant seeking mist and cloud gauze, but Xiluo objected to giving away so much stock.

  • Yunmeng Marsh expanded from eight hundred li to eighty thousand li, prompting the mountain folk to replace boats with flying steel aircraft carriers.
  • The matured Three-Eyed Holy Demons escorted the carriers and helped other intelligent beings meet their basic needs and learn cultivation and crafts.
  • Many intelligent beings chose to practice Hanging Silk Lady's Transformation Method despite Li Boyang's warnings, because humanoid forms better suited cultivation and the mountain folk's treasures.
  • Li Boyang asked a giant beneath the carrier why he had not cultivated the Transformation Method, and the giant explained that he was already humanoid and had lost interest in travel after Longbo Kingdom fell.
  • The giant said he had come to buy Li Household Village's mist and cloud gauze, and Li Boyang questioned whether his visit was truly a coincidence.
  • Xiluo complained that Li Boyang was giving away too much mist and cloud gauze and asked whether he intended to stop doing business.

Ch. 637One Lineage for All Eternity

Li Boyang considered how expanding trade and transportation networks could keep the growing world connected and prevent isolated states from becoming hereditary domains. In the East Sea, Xiluo questioned the Longbo Giant about his request for mist and cloud gauze, and he accidentally revealed more than he intended.

  • Li Boyang reflected that the mountain folk’s steel carriers and a network of roads, rails, and shipping routes could strengthen exchanges between distant peoples.
  • Li Boyang learned that Lu Huaijin and other radicals wanted Nü E to expand the Mystic Garden Barrier, while Great Xia opposed the plan and Wu Zhen’s transportation-network proposal faced resistance from many rulers.
  • Li Boyang acknowledged that he had secretly traveled to the East Sea with Xiluo, who knew of his departure and supported it.
  • Xiluo asked the Longbo Giant why he wanted mist and cloud gauze, and he claimed it was for his kin’s clothing.
  • Xiluo questioned why the cloth needed to resist water and fire, and the Longbo Giant realized he had revealed information he meant to keep secret.

Ch. 638Golden Ao Built Islands

Li Boyang offered to sell the Longbo Giant Mist and Cloud Gauze if he explained why he needed it, and the giant agreed to trust him. The chapter revealed that the Longbo Giants needed the gauze to fish Golden Ao out of the deep sea and reclaim the ruins of their sunken kingdom.

  • The Longbo Giant turned to leave after deciding Li Boyang would not sell the Mist and Cloud Gauze, and Xiluo laughed when she realized why he had failed to buy any.
  • Li Boyang stopped the Longbo Giant and offered to help if he shared his real reason for seeking the gauze.
  • The Longbo Giant noticed Li Boyang's unusually small, apparently self-operating steel aircraft carrier and agreed to trust him because he was a Holy Demon.
  • The chapter described how Golden Ao had taken over the resurfacing ruins of the Longbo Kingdom and repeatedly outmaneuvered the Longbo Giants.
  • The Longbo Giants planned to use water- and fireproof Mist and Cloud Gauze as fishing line to catch Golden Ao with golden glue bait.

Ch. 639The Kingdom of Giants

Yao Xi and Luo Qiao accidentally drew a Golden Ao into an incomplete chain net, and it charged at them after the net broke. As the Longbo Giants rushed to rescue them, their eldest declared that their descendants mattered more than preserving the kingdom’s ruins, while the former high priest sensed that the god of the East Sea was still alive.

  • Luo Qiao asked Yao Xi if their eldest brother had returned, and she scolded him for getting distracted while they baited the Golden Ao.
  • A Golden Ao surfaced beneath an island, snapped the chain net, and charged at Luo Qiao and Yao Xi.
  • The elders heard the Golden Ao’s roar and hurried to rescue the two youngest Longbo Giants.
  • The eldest told the elders to spare no cost to protect the children, even if that meant losing the ruins of the Longbo Kingdom.
  • After the others left, the former high priest prayed to the god of the East Sea and felt a familiar divine will descend.

Ch. 640Gather Qi into Form, and Gang Qi Forms of Its Own Accord

Luo Qiao fought the Golden Ao using forbidden techniques and the Sacrificial Dance until a mysterious method transformed his Qi, but the beast swallowed him. Yao Xi unleashed a lightning strike that killed the Golden Ao as arriving Longbo Giants watched in disbelief.

  • Luo Qiao hurled Yao Xi away, burned his Qi and Blood, and struck the Golden Ao hard enough to crack the island on its back.
  • Luo Qiao used the Sacrificial Dance and his agility to evade the Golden Ao, but he could not find a way to defeat its massive body.
  • A voice gave Luo Qiao a meridian diagram, and his Breathing Method transformed his Qi and Blood into domineering Life Primordial Qi.
  • The Golden Ao swallowed Luo Qiao, and Yao Xi cried out in despair.
  • Yao Xi rose into the air and struck the Golden Ao's head with lightning, killing it as nearby Longbo Giants looked on in shock.

Ch. 641Biyou Palace, the Headless Buddha

The High Priest led the Longbo Giants into battle against a gathering of Golden Ao after one of the creatures awakened spiritual intelligence. When they found the Golden Ao carrying the Longbo Kingdom’s former palace and a headless Buddha statue, the statue’s eerie halo drove the creatures into a frenzy.

  • The High Priest explained that Golden Ao could develop spiritual intelligence, then ordered Cang Qing to protect Yao Xi while the others searched for their leader.
  • Yao Xi unleashed wind, waves, and lightning against the Golden Ao as Cang Qing shielded her and promised revenge for Luo Qiao.
  • The intelligent Golden Ao surfaced, carrying the Longbo Kingdom’s former palace and a headless Buddha statue on its back.
  • The High Priest urged the Longbo Giants to kill the leader, and they charged the Golden Ao, smashing islands and knocking creatures aside.
  • The intelligent Golden Ao tried to flee, but the headless Buddha emitted a halo that made it and the other Golden Ao turn berserk and attack.

Ch. 642Sword Gang pierced the heavens, Sha Qi surged into the skies

Luo Qiao emerged from a Golden Ao’s corpse with a powerful Body-Protecting Sword Qi, shocking Qingyue and drawing Li Boyang and Xiluo’s attention. After Qingyue rescued him from another Golden Ao, the Golden Ao leader briefly regained its senses and fled underwater.

  • Qingyue searched the battlefield for Luo Qiao while Li Boyang reassured him and Xiluo predicted Luo Qiao would emerge.
  • Luo Qiao burst from a Golden Ao’s corpse in a surge of Sword Gang and Sha Qi, revealing faint traces of Body-Protecting Sword Qi.
  • Xiluo recognized Luo Qiao’s sword ability as resembling Li Boyang’s unique Body-Protecting Sword Qi, and Li Boyang confirmed it was his technique.
  • Luo Qiao wondered at the power of the Divine Ability he had derived from the Breathing Method as a crazed Golden Ao charged him.
  • Qingyue struck the Golden Ao with Great Stele Hand and smashed its head, provoking the nearby Golden Ao into greater frenzy.
  • The Golden Ao leader mourned the creature’s death, regained some reason, and submerged itself to escape the battle.

Ch. 643A Long-Lived Species' View of History

Li Boyang explained to Luo Qiao why the Longbo Giants needed written history and urged him to preserve the Longbo Kingdom’s past. Luo Qiao realized Li Boyang wanted him to become the Longbo Kingdom’s historian shaman.

  • Luo Qiao wondered whether the Longbo Giants needed to risk their dwindling numbers fighting the Golden Ao over worthless ruins.
  • Li Boyang explained that the Longbo Giants had relied on elders’ stories instead of objective written records, leaving them unable to learn from their kingdom’s rise and fall.
  • Li Boyang argued that the Longbo Kingdom’s ruins, traditions, and surviving Longbo Giants proved its history mattered, then transformed himself into a Longbo Giant.
  • Li Boyang urged Luo Qiao to compile the kingdom’s history with the elders’ help and preserve evidence from its ruins.
  • Luo Qiao asked whether Li Boyang wanted him to become the Longbo Kingdom’s historian shaman.

Ch. 644Dao Ancestor: You're Very Much Like Me!

Li Boyang urged Luo Qiao to consider preserving the history of the Longbo Kingdom, warning that the truth might put him at odds with the high priest. He revealed himself as the Dao Ancestor and awakened Luo Qiao’s innate divine ability, Lucid Sword Heart, leaving Luo Qiao’s Gang Qi transforming into sword energy.

  • Luo Qiao realized Li Boyang wanted him to preserve and investigate the Longbo Kingdom’s history, and Li Boyang warned that uncovering the truth could make the high priest his enemy.
  • Luo Qiao guessed that Li Boyang was the Dao Ancestor and recognized him as the source of the Breathing Method.
  • Li Boyang explained that Luo Qiao was an innate divine being whose talent had been wasted because the Longbo Kingdom had fallen before he was born.
  • Li Boyang demonstrated his sword ability by silently parting the sea with black-and-yellow Sword Qi, then named Luo Qiao’s talent the lucid sword heart.
  • Luo Qiao understood that his move against the Golden Ao had come from the Breathing Method and began unconsciously shaping his Gang Qi into swords.

Ch. 645The mountain folk's outward expansion

Xiluo confronted Yinglong over his role in bringing the Longbo Giants into the Hundred Lands Mountain Range. Yinglong explained that the Giants would serve as a pilot site for expanding the Mystic Garden Barrier, a plan supported by Nü E and Lu Huaijin’s faction.

  • Xiluo asked the Longbo Giants’ high priest whether their decision to join the Hundred Lands Mountain Range was their own or their god’s decree.
  • Yinglong revealed himself at the shrine and admitted that he had promised to bring the Longbo Giants into the mountain range.
  • Yinglong explained that his father had tracked Li Boyang and Xiluo to the East Sea, and Xiluo warned him not to break his promise to the Giants.
  • Yinglong said Lu Huaijin’s faction was pursuing outward expansion and that the Longbo Giants would be a pilot site for the Mystic Garden Barrier.
  • Yinglong explained that Nü E had approved the pilot-site plan after Great Xia’s opposition had stalled barrier expansion five years earlier.

Ch. 646Kunlun Massacre

Xingtian City’s sale of mechanical and mechanism beasts helped spark a massacre and the Battle for Kunlun, as the Federation of the Xia accused the city of betrayal and demanded its technology. Xingtian Shi rejected the demands and entered the war, with the West Sea Dragon Race joining Xingtian City against Great Xia.

  • The Hundred Lands Mountain Range’s innovations spread through Xingtian City, which had sold mechanical and mechanism beasts to the outside world for about five years.
  • Slaves in states near Xingtian City used the beasts to rebel, and the fighting escalated into a massacre that killed ordinary citizens and some great witches and gods.
  • The Ten Witches of Spirit Mountain developed spells against the beasts, helping the great witches and gods halt the massacre and bringing Great Xia officially into the war.
  • The gods of Great Xia accused Xingtian City of betrayal, demanded it stop selling the beasts and hand over its technology, and sought to investigate its ties to the Hundred Lands Mountain Range.
  • Xingtian Shi rejected Great Xia’s demands and joined the fighting, while the shamans sided with Great Xia’s gods.
  • Ao Shun led the West Sea Dragon Race to support Xingtian City, and the conflict expanded into a war between gods, great witches, and warriors.

Ch. 647The Might of the Holy Demons, the Nine Provinces Barrier

After the Three-Eyed Holy Demons broke the siege of Xingtian City with supplies and defeated Great Xia’s gods, the city and Kunlun joined the Mystic Garden Barrier. Fu Kui then established the Nine Provinces Barrier, giving intelligent beings the choice of joining either side and leaving both Great Xia and the mountain folk displeased.

  • The war around Xingtian City dragged on for three months until the city faced starvation after missing the spring sowing season.
  • The mountain folk sent steel aircraft carriers loaded with supplies to Mount Kunlun and Xingtian City, then routed the gods of Great Xia with coordinated formations and Law Treasures.
  • The lands of Kunlun, including Xingtian City, became part of the Mystic Garden Barrier, which travelers with the mountain folk’s Navigation Map could cross freely.
  • Fu Kui became the eleventh Witch King of Great Xia, united intelligent beings across the land, and restarted the Divine Land Barrier as the Nine Provinces Barrier.
  • Fu Kui taught local beings to integrate their earth and water veins, allowing them to join the Nine Provinces Barrier or the Mystic Garden Barrier by choice.

Ch. 648Two powers face off: a cold war order

The Hundred Lands Mountain Range chose the Longbo Giants as allies for a pilot site in the East Sea, aiming to integrate its earth and water veins despite the Golden Ao and possible objections. As Yao Xi oversaw the shifting islands, she questioned the motives of Li Boyang and Xiluo and remained wary of the newly appeared Sea God.

  • Lu Huaijin’s pilot site plan gained the support of every village representative in the Hundred Lands Assembly, and the Hundred Lands Mountain Range decided to cultivate steadfast allies beyond its borders.
  • Xiluo realized Yinglong and the others had chosen the Longbo Giants, whose survival depended on joining the Hundred Lands Mountain Range and whose Luo Qiao had attracted Li Boyang’s interest.
  • Yinglong planned to integrate the earth and water veins in part of the East Sea, relying on Divine Lord Meng Zhang’s silence and intending to deal with the East Sea Dragon Race and Golden Ao.
  • Yao Xi arranged for the Longbo Giants to move islands into a formation that would unite the local veins and trap the Golden Ao.
  • Yao Xi worried that Li Boyang and Xiluo had an unusual purpose and told Qingyue she could not simply trust the Sea God who had suddenly appeared.

Ch. 649Heaven's Favored Dragon, Heavenly Net and Earthly Snare

Li Boyang discovered that Yinglong had helped the Longbo Giants weave a powerful net using Mist and Cloud Gauze and golden resin. Xiluo explained that the Heavenly Net and Earthly Snare would use electricity to catch every Golden Ao in the waters, while the East Sea Dragon Race cleared the other creatures away.

  • Li Boyang saw the Longbo Giants weaving Mist and Cloud Gauze with golden resin and learned that Yinglong had taught them the technique.
  • Li Boyang reflected on Yinglong’s exceptional talent and how his self-doubt had hindered his cultivation.
  • Xiluo revealed that Yinglong had designed the Heavenly Net and Earthly Snare to conduct electricity through the sea and catch the Golden Ao.
  • Xiluo told Li Boyang that the East Sea Dragon Race had agreed to clear the waters of other creatures beforehand.
  • Li Boyang realized the dragon gods’ names were already recorded in Xiluo’s Jade Pool Heavenly Book.

Ch. 650The Dragon Race of the East Sea, the Remains of a Fallen God

Yinglong confronted Ao Guang in the East Sea Crystal Palace, demanding the Dragon Race’s help with the Hundred Lands Mountain Range’s plans. Divine Lord Meng Zhang secured the Dragon Race’s cooperation and revealed that the Golden Ao had been guided to the East Sea to reach a headless statue in Biyou Palace, made from a strange stone left by a dead god.

  • Yinglong threatened Ao Guang, who refused to involve the East Sea Dragon Race in the conflict between the Hundred Lands Mountain Range and Great Xia.
  • As the Dragon Race prepared to fight, Divine Lord Meng Zhang appeared and questioned Yinglong’s heavy-handed approach.
  • Yinglong revealed the Jade Pool Heavenly Book, and Divine Lord Meng Zhang explained that Yinglong had provoked Ao Guang because he looked down on the Dragon King’s loss of drive.
  • Divine Lord Meng Zhang promised the East Sea Dragon Race would help the Hundred Lands Mountain Range establish a Mystic Garden Barrier, on condition that the Golden Ao and other East Sea life were not harmed.
  • Divine Lord Meng Zhang revealed that someone had guided the Golden Ao to the East Sea to reach a headless Buddha statue in Biyou Palace.
  • Divine Lord Meng Zhang explained that the statue had begun as a strange stone formed from a god’s remains, retaining the power to reflect the forms of all things.
