Azure Cloud Map
Two days later, streaks of divine radiance shone down across the sky above the Cangyun Sect.
A strange phenomenon appeared overhead. Sheets of light shone down, and ripples formed in the void, spreading little by little like ripples rising on a tranquil lake.
Everyone gathered there and looked up, astonishment filling their hearts.
The ripples spread, reflecting the light of the sky, like a realm of immortals.
They knew the Cangyun Secret Realm had opened.
Beyond the watery ripples lay another space, the Cangyun Secret Realm, which a supreme mighty cultivator had refined countless ages ago.
The Cangyun Sect disciples arrived, and Lu Changsheng followed behind Ye Tianyi.
Luo Tian arrived there.
"Everyone, the secret realm is open. What you gain depends on your own abilities, but let me remind you of one thing: only those under thirty may enter. Anyone else will be obliterated!"
Although everyone already knew this, he still reminded them.
It was to prevent anyone from trying their luck and losing their life in the attempt.
People nodded all around. Standing in various places, each of them had eyes brimming with confidence.
Lu Changsheng swept his Divine Sense over them and was surprised as well. Quite a few people had come this time.
Among them were quite a few famous heaven's prides from Cang Province.
Xuan Cheng of the Profound Heaven Sect and Zhao Yang of the Divine Firmament Sect were both experts at the Ninth Layer of Essence Condensation.
There were also some at the Seventh Layer of Essence Condensation and the eighth layer. Not one of them was weak.
Among these people, a woman surprised him.
The woman stood apart, a moon-white dress flowing down her figure. Her dark hair fell like a waterfall to her waist, and she was like a gently swaying willow. A veil covered her face, concealing her features.
Her graceful figure left people spellbound. She was undoubtedly a peerless beauty.
Yet none of this stirred much of a wave in Lu Changsheng's eyes. He was merely surprised.
"Why did she come? Is she after the Azure Cloud Map too?"
Lu Changsheng murmured to himself. The woman was none other than Su Muyue of the Drunken Moon Pavilion, who had come here at this time.
This woman was extraordinary, yet he did not know why someone like her would come to a remote place like the Cangyun Sect. As expected, she had quite a background.
The only thing Lu Changsheng could not understand was why he had not seen Zhou Qingyu.
As though sensing his confusion, Ye Tianyi said, "Eldest Senior Brother will go in later!"
"Oh, I see!"
As they spoke, waves surged, and Luo Tian's voice rang out at that moment.
"Enter!"
In that instant, figures leaped into the sky and stepped into the space.
"Changsheng, if you run into danger, you can come find your senior sister. I'll protect you!"
A seductive voice sounded from nearby.
It was Liu Qingcheng, a smile on her face.
"Thank you, Senior Sister!"
Lu Changsheng replied.
Ye Tianyi smiled. "You get along with people quite well!"
"I just treat others as I'd want them to treat me!"
"Take this talisman paper. It can sense my location and Eldest Senior Brother's. If you encounter danger, light it, and we'll come find you!" Ye Tianyi gave him some instructions and handed him a sheet of talisman paper.
Lu Changsheng nodded.
After entering the secret realm, everyone would be scattered, landing in random places rather than staying together.
As everyone entered, Lu Changsheng set off as well.
Shi Feng watched from a distance, keeping his expression neutral all along. After seeing all this, he followed them inside, filled with resentment. Even now, he had not let it go.
Soon, the surroundings were empty, with only the Peak Masters and elders remaining, along with those who had accompanied others here.
Several elders had come from the Profound Heaven Sect. Looking over, smiles rose at the corners of their mouths, as though victory were already in their grasp.
An old man also looked over, his expression calm. He was the old man from the Drunken Moon Pavilion.
Meng Lang stood to one side without saying anything.
He was only waiting for it to end so he could take Luo Xianling back to the Divine Firmament Sect.
No one from the Cangyun Sect said a word. They had long since given up hope of obtaining the Azure Cloud Map; otherwise, they would not have allowed outsiders inside.
The surroundings fell completely silent.
Meanwhile, everyone entered the secret realm, and a magnificent landscape came into view. Mountains, rivers, flowing water, plants, and blue-gray stones were all utterly real, no different from the outside world.
This was a genuine small world.
Drifting clouds passed across the sky, weaving a breathtaking picture.
Almost everyone began taking action the moment they entered.
No one knew exactly where the Azure Cloud Map was. Many had merely come to try their luck. At worst, the Spiritual Qi here was dense, so cultivating here for a while would still be excellent.
Of course, some had come prepared and tried various methods.
Lu Changsheng was different. Once he sensed the dense Spiritual Qi here, his face blossomed into a smile.
Such dense Spiritual Qi was perfect for cultivation. Who knew how many Spirit Stones it could save him?
Then Law Power surged from his palm, and a formation platform and several formation flags appeared.
These were the things needed to set up a Spirit Gathering Formation. With a wave of his hand, the formation platform landed, and the formation flags flew in all directions and vanished. The surrounding Spiritual Qi, however, began streaming toward this place without end.
After setting this one up, he did not linger, setting off again to a place a hundred li away.
A single Spirit Gathering Formation could gather eighty percent of the Spiritual Qi within a hundred li in one day. He set one up every hundred li, only stopping after arranging three in succession.
These were also his entire fortune. Aside from them, all he had left was the Law Artifact he normally used for storage.
He did not even have a suitable weapon. Anything of value that came into his hands had been sold for Spirit Stones.
Of course, it was not that he did not want to refine more Spirit Gathering Formations. The main problem was that the materials were too expensive, and he truly could not afford them!
Fortuitous opportunities, Law Artifacts-he would not compete for any of them. He only wanted to plunder as much Spiritual Qi as possible.
He was admiring his handiwork, standing atop a solitary peak as he quietly waited for the Spirit Gathering Formations to gather Spiritual Qi.
Yet just then, he suddenly sensed something. Confusion rose in his heart, and he could not help looking up, only to see a scroll come into view.
It fell at extreme speed, giving him no time to react, and smashed straight into his head.
The tremendous impact left even him unable to keep his footing. His entire body fell from the solitary peak, plunging headfirst.
With a tremendous crash, he smashed into the ground and collapsed it. A crack spread outward as he forcefully smashed out a deep pit, his entire head driven underground, leaving only half his body in the pit.
Everything had happened so suddenly that he was caught completely off guard. Even with Lu Changsheng's cultivation, he had nearly failed to withstand it.
If not for the tempering from the torment of cultivating the Myriad Tribulations Immortal Physique, that blow would likely have been enough to send him to his grave!
"Which bastard ambushed me!"
Lu Changsheng roared and struggled to pull his head free. Law Power surged forth, giving off powerful fluctuations, and his Divine Sense swept outward to find his attacker.
Yet he discovered nothing. Everything was quiet, with nothing unusual at all. Other than the scroll beside him, there was nothing else.
"No one?"
Lu Changsheng frowned and looked at the scroll. He reached out and picked it up, saying in disbelief as he examined it, "This thing knocked me down?"
He found it hard to believe and slowly unrolled the scroll. He had thought it contained some secret manual, but the instant he opened it, he froze on the spot.
Within the scroll was a breathtaking painting, with countless peaks depicted upon it and banks of drifting clouds passing among the clouds.
Though it was a painting, it seemed to truly exist. Towering and boundless, its majestic grandeur washed over him. Every detail displayed its extraordinary nature, and its fluctuations left one awestruck.
Yet as he looked at all this, Lu Changsheng was left with nothing but shock.
"This is... the Azure Cloud Map? It just fell onto my head like that?"
