• Chen Qing bound himself to the two Baili spellcasters, then survived their destruction by a Dragon Sinew Silkworm Silk trap and recruited the dragon maiden to help find Ao Zhen.
• Chen Qing revealed his plan to Ao Zhen, who accepted cooperation, and he made Yuchi Feihong the Wind Gate Battle God as the Dragon Palace came under attack.
• Prince Consort Fei attacked Ao Zhen and Chen Qing, but Yuchi Feihong fought him while the Heavenly Ghost Octopus seized Fei Yan and Xiao Mingyue emerged to kill him with Red Lotus Karmic Fire.

While Ziyue managed Jiangnan and prepared to respond to threats from the capital, refugees began arriving from the Southern Barbarians, and Chen Qing discovered Quefeng had led them into a poison domain.

• Liu Yu’s spatial trap failed, but the divine blood corrupted Xiao Mingyue, and Chen Qing confronted her before Pu Yunchuan arrived and killed her.
• Pu Yunchuan revealed his identity as Chen Qing’s former-world colleague and offered to rule the living world while Chen Qing governed the Underworld, but Chen Qing refused and fought him with Ziyue’s help.
• Chen Qing and Heavenly Secrets were transported into a sealed region, where they learned how players had fought over power and sealed rivals, and they encountered Quefeng, whose divided counterparts threatened the eastern barrier.

Chen Qing became trapped on the Yin-Yang Road while a false Chen Qing led Jiangnan’s mission to the capital, where the empress’s schemes threatened Ao Zhen and A Li. As the capital’s factions prepared for a deadly duel over Xiao Mingxue, A Li learned the truth about Cui Yan and lost herself to grief.

• Chen Qing and White Phoenix escaped their pursuers on the Yin-Yang Road, while King Chujiang revealed his plans to control the mortal world and fought Quefeng with the Future Buddha’s power.
• The emperor arranged Xiao Mingxue’s marriage to Wutu Gu, and Chen Qing arrived in the capital to claim her before A Li took his place and accepted Wutu Gu’s deadly duel challenge.
• Shen Qi approached Chen Baiye’s branch of the Chen Household for intelligence and support, while Chen Qing and White Phoenix sought a way out through the Tomb of King Xiang.

The arc ended with northern refugees setting out across the ice road as Yuchi Feihong began building a force from them.

• Chen Qing arrived late to face Wutu Gu, trapped him with barrier arts, then defeated him with Xiao Mingyue’s sword and demanded that the emperor return Xiao Mingxue under the imperial edict.
• The emperor’s sealed Ghost Temple plot came to light as Chen Qing and Wang Ye located the Xiao Household’s hidden ancestral temple beneath the Palace of Earthly Tranquility and attacked Snake Mother while she held Ao Zhen captive.
• Ao Zhen broke free and helped Chen Qing drive Snake Mother away, while Chen Qing revealed that he had retrieved A Da’s spirit body and went on to rescue the tortured fox demon.
