• Zhou Wuji helped Zhiyuan suppress Chen Dalu, exposed the Five Dragons Gang’s blood sacrifices, and later killed Chen Dalu when they met again on Old Dragon Island.
• Zhou Wuji cleared zombies on the island, fought Yuan'an in a sparring match, and returned to the lower court after Zhiyuan arranged to retire and Zhihe became abbot.

Zhou Wuji exposed and defeated threats tied to Yunyang’s earth veins, killed Xue Ying, and earned fame by defeating Yuan Yi in the scripture debate. True Person Zhihua sent him to Yunze to learn the Army-Breaking Sword, where he arrived at Cloud Marsh Lower Court and learned of the demons and dangers surrounding Dream Marsh.

• Zhou Wuji captured and killed Xue Gui, gained his scripture and soul-summoning banner, and received a seventh-rank ordination certificate and Heavenly Pivot Token.
• Zhou Wuji proposed flooding the blazing pit beneath Wu Household Village, then used his sword to destroy the evil entity that emerged from it.
• Zhou Wuji killed Grand Libationer Cui Wancheng and later Zhang Banshan and Zhang Yunfeng died in a fight involving Zhou Wuji’s Ghost Soldier, though Zhihe found no evidence tying Zhou Wuji to their deaths.

He later recovered the Cangwu tree heart with True Person Zhihua’s help, shared its life-extending jade liquid with trusted allies, and prepared for the next stage of his path as an envoy arrived from the Heavenly Master's Manor.

• Zhou Wuji hunted demons in Cloud Marsh, killed a talking white crow that threatened his family, and secretly sent Wuleng to ask True Person Zhihua for help.
• True Person Zhihua recruited Zhou Wuji for the Fire Phoenix Army’s expedition into Dream Marsh, and Abbot Zhi'en placed the forty-nine cultivators under Zhou Wuji’s command.
• The Fire Phoenix Army fought through Dream Marsh, while Zhou Wuji saved wounded soldiers and later helped defend the camp from Xie Yunfeng’s rebel cavalry.

After reporting the barbarian threat, he faced possible political retaliation and received a new assignment at White Sand Bay.

• Zhiyuan helped Zhou Wuji transfer to the Upper Court, where Zhou Wuji received the Northern Emperor’s blessing during his register-bestowal ceremony and advanced to Fifth Rank in Heavenly Authority Hall.
• Zhou Wuji joined the Demon-Expelling Hall as a deacon, received the Divine Thunder Bracelet and Tianquan Sword Intent, and took Yang Tie Ying into Yigeng’s Ding Group.
• At Lin Household Gully, Zhou Wuji uncovered Hou San’s scheme to gather souls for Blood Soul Pills and traced his ties to the Yin Yang Dao, Devil Cultivators, and Yue Ridge barbarians.
• Zhou Wuji attacked Golden Sands Fort, killed Cui Mingcheng and the gathered Devil Cultivators and barbarians, then gave witnesses to Zhang Cheng and used the payment to help Lin Household Gully’s victims.
