In the main world, he publicized Cloud-Stilling Temple through successful fortune-telling, drawing a crowd of potential worshippers.
Fang Weiyan rebuilt Linbei County, drew worshippers to Cloud-Stilling Temple, and helped Zhou Wenfei find his son. As demons gathered and Tao Lingluo entered the county, Silver Scale passed her Human Tribulation with help from the wishing pool and Golden Crow’s divine light, and Fang Weiyan brought her back to the temple.
Fang Weiyan strengthened Linbei County, gained the help of Tao Lingluo and the koi, and was summoned to Yanhuai City as the Jiang Kingdom faced a succession crisis and conflict with the Dragon King. Emperor Kaide considered giving Fang authority over a commandery, while conspirators plotted against the Dragon King’s offspring and Fang tested his luck in Cloudwater City.
Fang Weiyan took control of Jiangling Commandery, exposed corruption, and began rebuilding Pingshui City while preparing to make the territory prosperous enough to become a Human Sovereign. After saving the Dragon King's son and arranging a trade for spirit-medicine rootlets, he returned to face the urgent problem of housing residents whose homes had been damaged by rain.
Fang Weiyan expanded refugee relief and strengthened his territory before marching to stop a rebellion in Yanhuai City. Emperor Kaide died after naming him heir, and Fang Weiyan began rebuilding the Jiang Kingdom while seeking incense offerings to restore its weakened Yin Gods.
Fang Weiyan strengthened the Jiang Kingdom through reforms and harvests, then ascended Mount Kunxu and became a Human Sovereign. As he expanded the kingdom’s infrastructure and welcomed the Mountain Spirit, envoys from other dynasties arrived to assess his rule.
Fang Weiyan built up the Jiang Kingdom, secured the Mountain Spirits’ allegiance, and prepared for the opening of the Land of Ten Thousand Witherings. The first attacks were repelled with firearms, but sentient Yin Gods later overwhelmed Weiwei’s defenders until Tao Lingluo arrived.
