Background / History

Nuwa creates the Human Race after refining her Dao among the races of Primordial Chaos. She first molds Yuan, representing yang, and Gui, representing yin, then creates 2,998 further humans; subsequent creation brings their original number to 129,600, matching the Number of Yuan. Their birth draws immense merit and establishes Nuwa as the Lord of the Human Dao. 204 205

Guiyuan provides Nuwa with Three Lights Divine Water and Nine Heavens Breathing Soil for humanity’s creation. The race takes Pangu’s Innate Dao Body as its form: Three Lights Divine Water embodies heavenly purity, Nine Heavens Breathing Soil embodies earthly turbidity, and humanity arises from their union. 181

Unlike innate races born with inherited memories, bloodline legacies, and elemental specializations, humans are created without a fixed innate attribute or inherited cultivation method. Their lack of fixed nature makes them physically fragile but highly adaptable, aligning them with the ever-changing nature of the Human Dao. 175 222

The newly born race initially inhabits the East Sea coast under Nuwa’s remaining Dao Rhyme. Although the first generation is strong, later generations are weaker and vulnerable to harsh weather, predation, disease, and the dangers beyond their protected homeland. 222

Guiyuan, recognized as the Human Race’s Holy Father, answers Yuan and Gui’s request for a cultivation method by teaching the Human Immortal Martial Dao. The race subsequently acknowledges him and establishes the Martial Arts Ancestral Court. 222 224

Guiyuan Realm Counterpart

Guiyuan separately creates thirty-six human prototypes within the Guiyuan Realm. These humans are intended to bear the Earth Dao and oppose the Sea Clan, while the Turtle Clan is intended to bear that realm’s Human Dao. 202

Traits

  • Humans are born in the complete Innate Dao Body associated with Pangu, rather than needing to transform into one. 175 303
  • They possess no innate elemental divine abilities comparable to the Dragon Clan’s water affinity, the Phoenix Clan’s fire affinity, or the Qilin Clan’s earth affinity. 175
  • Their lack of a fixed innate nature allows them to learn and potentially master diverse laws; the Human Race later demonstrates the ability to grasp the Law of Time. 248
  • Their reproductive rate is exceptionally high, allowing the race to spread through multiple generations soon after its creation. 222
  • Human bloodlines can intermix with those of other races without wholly erasing human nature, supporting the Human Dynasty’s inclusiveness. 508

Abilities & Skills

Innate Dao Body

The Human Race’s natural form is the Dao Body closest to Pangu’s form, making humans “seeds of the Dao” rather than inheritors of a single fixed bloodline ability. 175 248

  • Can serve as a reference for other Primordial beings seeking a complete transformation form. 303
  • Allows exceptional compatibility with different laws, including the Law of Time. 248
  • Does not grant automatic mastery of divine abilities or a cultivation legacy. 175 222

Human Immortal Martial Dao

The Human Immortal Martial Dao is a path jointly deduced by Guiyuan and Nuwa specifically for human bodies. It emphasizes self-cultivation rather than reliance on external inheritances. 223 225

  • Begins with tempering the physique and opening bodily acupoints. 223
  • Uses Mind Force and Inner Scenery to communicate with Heaven and Earth. 196
  • Can form an Outer Scenery Dharma Idol to wield Heaven-and-Earth power. 196
  • Converts prior Immortal Dao foundations into Martial Dao foundations for human practitioners. 223
  • Requires substantial flesh-and-blood resources for Body Tempering; forcing open the Nine Orifices without sufficient physical preparation damages one’s foundation. 261

Human Dao Fortune

The Human Race bears a major share of Human Dao fortune. Its creation immediately reduces the Heavenly Court’s fortune by thirty percent. 208

  • Human Dao Sacred Virtue descends in response to major advances in the race’s development. 263 362
  • Human fortune strengthens as the population expands, develops territory, and establishes civilization. 263 389
  • The Human Dao Scroll enables Yuan to entrust himself to the Human Dao and advance through the Human Immortal Martial Dao. 362

Method of the Dynasty of Fortune

Guiyuan grants Yuan a method that combines the Fortune Path and Imperial Dao into the foundation of the Human Dao Dynasty. 312 369

  • Officials may mobilize the strength of living beings within their territory through their bestowed seals. 370
  • The dynasty’s territory suppresses beings and laws not belonging to it. 312
  • City-state formations maintain the Human Emperor’s power across expanding territory. 369
  • The system depends on territory, population, and the continued prosperity of its subjects. 369 370

Civilization and Development

Early Survival

The Human Race initially lacks both a cultivation legacy and the strength to leave the East Sea coast safely. Fierce winds, foul rains, illness, and hostile creatures cause repeated casualties, especially among weaker later generations. 222

Yuan and Gui reject dependence on their Holy Father and Holy Mother for every hardship, instead calling for human solutions to human problems. 262

Great Sages

The Human Race recognizes contributors to non-cultivators as Great Sages. 263

  • Sui — Studies the heavens and later becomes one of the Human Race’s Great Sages. 242 263
  • Suiren — Invents drilling wood to make fire, reducing cold and disease among newborns. 263
  • Youchao — Develops sturdy housing based on observations of nests and caves. 263
  • Ziyi — Produces warm clothing from demon-beast fur. 263

These innovations allow non-cultivators and newborns to survive more reliably, free martial cultivators for hunting and expansion, and increase the Human Race’s fortune. 263

Expansion

The Human Immortal Martial Dao rapidly strengthens the race, but its demand for meat and Body Tempering resources forces humans to expand beyond the East Sea coast. Demons within the original coastal territory are safe to consume, while demons from outside can cause dysentery and high newborn mortality. 261

Equipment / Sacred Items

  • Human Creation Whip — A merit treasure infused with Human Dao Sacred Virtue. Originally used by Nuwa to create humanity, it can draw upon Human Dao power and is especially effective against beings linked to Human Race fortune. 208 445
  • Star Mirror — Bestowed to Yuan through the Holy Father Statue; can shake the myriad stars and draw down Star Power for the Human Race and its allies. 265 303
  • Human Dao Scroll — A manifestation of Human Dao authority used by Yuan to enter the Legendary Realm. 361 362
  • Human Emperor Seal — Used to enfeoff the Eight Kings and Golden Mother, granting territorial authority under the Method of the Dynasty of Fortune. 370

Relationships

  • Nuwa / Wa Huang — Holy Mother and creator of the Human Race; creates humanity as the foundation of her Human Dao and protects its early growth with her remaining Dao Rhyme. 205 222
  • Guiyuan — Holy Father; provides the materials for humanity’s creation, teaches the Human Immortal Martial Dao, and supports the establishment of the Human Dao Dynasty. 181 223 312
  • Yuan — First human, Human Ancestor, and later Human Emperor; establishes the Human Dao Dynasty and leads humanity against the Heavenly Court. 204 361
  • Gui — First human and later Human Empress; her Dao centers on humanity’s creation, reproduction, and continued existence. 204 389
  • Taiqing — Seeks to teach the Human Race and establish influence through humanity, but Guiyuan contests any attempt to control the Human Emperor through a sect built on humans. 248 363
  • Witch Clan — Political ally through the Human-Earth Alliance; intermarriage becomes a key part of cooperation between the two peoples. 303 370 447
  • Demon Race / Heavenly Court — Principal rival faction; the Heavenly Court’s monopolization of Star Power pushes humanity and neutral tribes toward open resistance. 264 303
