Background / History

Nuwa’s Dao field is Phoenix Perch Mountain on Buzhou Mountain. Although she is backed by the Heavenly Court and holds Primordial Violet Qi as Hongjun’s inner disciple, she avoids most Heavenly Court karma and shows little interest in actively managing it 168 173.

Before creating the Human Race, Nuwa is already experimenting with the Law of Creation. Phoenix Perch Mountain contains bizarre lifeforms she created, leading Guiyuan to privately view her as a “mad biologist” rather than a passive future saint 174.

Guiyuan visits Nuwa to discuss Fuxi’s danger, the Human Dao, and Hongjun’s schemes. He points out that the Heavenly Court cannot safely unify the Primordial World and that Fuxi’s karma with it may drag him into disaster 174.

After Guiyuan reveals the key to her opportunity, Nuwa realizes that she can create a race based on Pangu’s Dao Body to bear Human Path Fortune. She also devises a method to grind away the Dao of Three Corpses by transforming herself through the myriad beings of Primordial Chaos 175.

Guiyuan later shares further Human Dao insights and gives Nuwa the Three Lights Divine Water, Nine Heavens Breathing Soil, and gourd vine needed for human creation. Nuwa gives him the Mountains and Rivers Geography Map to repay karmic debt 181 182.

Nuwa creates the first humans, Yuan and Gui, near a great river on the East Sea coast. She then creates the Human Race in the numbers 3,000 and 129,600, causing the Human Dao to emerge 204 205.

When Hongjun attempts to limit or destroy the new Human Race, Nuwa rejects Heavenly Dao Merit, endures three thousand thunder tribulations, and cuts off her master-disciple karma with him. Guiyuan shields the Human Race, allowing Nuwa to counterattack and complete her breakthrough as Lord of the Human Dao 205 206.

After surviving the tribulation, Nuwa shatters Primordial Violet Qi and scatters it across the Primordial Chaos as “Divine Thrones,” weakening Hongjun’s monopoly over Heavenly Dao authority. She names Guiyuan the Human Race’s Holy Father and gives him the Human Creation Whip 207.

Nuwa then leaves the Human Race to develop through trials rather than dependency. She opens Wa Huang Heaven in Chaos, establishes Wa Huang Palace, and vows to preach the Dao of Creation to fated beings 207 208.

Later, Nuwa reveals that she has merged with another Nuwa through mutual consent. Her broader path is to gather and merge her Other Selves across worlds until only one Nuwa remains, a method tied to the Struggle for Status and the Holy Mother position 208 209.

She is cautious about karma. Before sainthood, she avoids deep Heavenly Court involvement despite being Wa Huang of the Demon Race; after sainthood, she opens Wa Huang Heaven rather than taking command of the Heavenly Court 168 208.

Her attitude toward the Human Race is protective but not possessive. Yuan later notes that she treats humans as true living beings rather than personal property, and Nuwa herself chooses to leave them space to grow through hardship 207 427.
