Qi Yun survived the sect’s initiation trial, entered the Wuji Sacred Sect, and used his Law Technique Panel to develop reliable talisman-making and advance his cultivation. After Tang Shun’s death drew investigators and Wu Tao betrayed him, Qi Yun accepted Zheng Yi’s offer to act as bait but refined the offered flying sword instead of agreeing to follow the plan.
Qi Yun survived Song Kun and Zheng Yi’s scheme, then won the year-end assessment by claiming all nine Crystal Keys. After using new Law Techniques to repel disciples who targeted him, he was cleared of their deaths and received Li Chong’s proposal to ambush Yue Rong.
Qi Yun fought his way to the Hall of All Dharmas, gained a breakthrough and a new sword technique, then led Holy Sect disciples against the Zombie Alliance. The campaign ended with Qi Yun exposing a false Yuan Hai and confronting the Alliance’s new Law Corpse.
Qi Yun returned from defeating the Zombie Alliance with a powerful patron, new rewards, and a growing cultivation. Forced into the Peach Garden Secret Realm, he fought rival sect cultivators, expanded his Skull Incantation, and ended the stretch facing Zhao Wuji and Ling Jiao'er.
Qi Yun survived the Peach Garden expedition, advanced into the inner court, and joined a mission against the three rival sects’ peripheral forces. At Ghost-Crying Market, he recorded an earth-vein node and escaped after freeing a dangerous prisoner as a distraction.

He later entered the sealed Yin Ruins on True Person Qianxin’s mission to seize the Earth Temple’s core, but fled a clay monk’s chanting inside the temple.
Qi Yun gained power from the Earth Temple, built a talisman business, and killed Chang Qing during a hunt that revealed the Divine Silkworm Sect’s forbidden secret. After secretly raiding Li Hanyan’s treasure vault, Qi Yun attempted to break through to the Qi Refining Ninth Layer, but a black-robed figure used a ritual to unleash his inner demons.
Qi Yun entered Miluoluo Mountain to obtain a fire-element Foundation Establishment Object, then chose the perilous Great Luo Myriad Laws Dao Foundation and overcame its remnant bearer. After surviving the wind, fire, and water tribulations with Deng Yin’s protection, Qi Yun became a Supreme True Person and returned to the Wuji Sacred Sect.
Qi Yun refined new powers, defeated He Sha, and joined True Person Qianxin in claiming treasures from the Zombie Alliance’s ruins. Huang Tan’s karmic assault nearly erased them, but True Lord Vast Sea and Fine Dust intervened and restored the victims, leaving Qi Yun with a snow-white little sword.
Qi Yun rose from a sect power struggle to oversee the Northern Defense Grand Formation, then entered the war against Southern Yin and gained a hidden agent by refining True Person Xuanping. The stretch left him operating under the guise Yun Zhongzi after rescuing Yuhengzi and other righteous cultivators from True Person Broken Bone.
Qi Yun infiltrated the righteous coalition before the struggle for an Imperial Weapon exposed his identity in Lifeless Valley. He strengthened his Dao Foundation through the ensuing battles, concealed the weapon's escaping sentience, and erased their karmic traces after learning that another Supreme threatened him.
Qi Yun advanced to Foundation Establishment Middle Stage, clashed with the Southern Yin crown prince, and recovered treasures from the Upper Mysterious Heavenly Palace. After securing protection within the Holy Sect, he accepted Desolate Halberd True Lord’s mission to another realm and began requisitioning supplies.
Qi Yun entered Azure Gate, seized the Fruition Status, and helped trigger a war that ended with Zhao Xuanji’s betrayal and death. Back in Xuanhuang, he accepted a Golden Core and chose to remain as Wudao took authority over the Holy Sect.
Qi Yun entered the Buddhist stronghold in Southern Yin under the identity Fahai, using its teachings and spiritual resources to develop a new Dharma Body and Primordial Spirit. At the Chan Assembly, the World-Honored One’s Heart Sutra triggered a clash between the True Lords and the Bodhisattvas, leaving the scripture unguarded.
Qi Yun claimed a Fruition Status-free Great Dao, returned to the Wuji Sacred Sect, and took control of its affairs while preparing a second cultivation path. His Blood God Dharma Body, Youquan, pursued that path overseas, rescued Xuanming, and fought the Jade Jade Palace and Buddhist forces until he realized the Dao Fruit was within his sea of blood.
Qi Yun secured a secret alliance with the North Sea Dragon Clan, refined Supreme Dao Foundations, and led the devil path's invasion of the Central Land. His creation of the Sacred Yuan Wenqu Star Lord brought the True Lords into confrontation, and a voice warned him that their condition was wrong.
Qi Yun developed his own Dao Attainment method, then seized Lingyong’s Divine Dao and defied Heaven’s Will with the Investiture of the Gods. After Desolate Halberd True Lord fought the coffin bearers and warned of a coming war, the True Lords uncovered the Heavenly Court, which stirred Qi Yun’s Investiture.
Qi Yun suppressed the cultivators drawn to the Heavenly Court, claimed the Immortal-Slaying Dao Fruit, and gathered the nine Supreme Dao Foundations needed to complete his Dao. After refining the twelve foundations into Hunyuan Great Luo and returning his Dao Fruit, he challenged Heaven’s Will and approached All Wonders Heaven.
Qi Yun established Primordial Unity, tested his power over Dao Fruits, and arranged for three old friends to attempt True Lord attainment. His journey beyond Xuanhuang uncovered conflicting accounts of the Dao Kings’ plans, recovered the Mountains and Rivers Cauldron, and left him investigating a dangerous remnant consciousness connected to Great Tang.
