Don't You Dare Insult My Dad!
Yet Tang Hao, standing in the middle of it all, swayed twice with the Clear Sky Hammer in hand,
stared through drunken, bleary eyes at the effeminate Yue Guan, let out a loud, drunken belch, and slurred a curse:
"I was wondering who... so it's a little ghost..."
Then he turned his head again,
raised his chin toward Gui Mei, who was shrouded in black mist, and shouted thickly:
"A chrysanthemum... you two think you can catch me?"
The air, taut with drawn swords and bent bows, abruptly froze for a moment.
The corner of Yue Guan's mouth twitched violently, while the black mist around Gui Mei beside him stalled.
The two exchanged looks, speechless.
Just how much cat piss had this fellow poured down his throat
to actually mistake each of them for the other?!
But before either could recover, bulging veins suddenly rose along Tang Hao's right arm gripping the Clear Sky Hammer, despite his staggering feet,
accompanied by a savage killing intent that threatened to smash everything at the slightest disagreement.
Yue Guan's and Gui Mei's eyes sharpened. They instantly dismissed their stray thoughts, not daring to lower their guard in the slightest.
The next instant, a low growl rose from Tang Hao's throat.
He swung the enormous Clear Sky Hammer and brought it crashing down straight ahead!
Violent black light exploded, and terrifying shock waves swept along the ground.
Tang Hao gave no consideration whatsoever to the village beside him.
The mere aftershocks stirred up by his hammer swing struck several nearby adobe houses,
shaking them into thunderous collapse and sending shattered wood and dust flying everywhere!
"Fall back!"
Yue Guan barked sharply. The elite Soul Saints on the perimeter did not dare meet such a formidable attack head-on and leaped backward.
Yue Guan and Gui Mei simultaneously channeled their Soul Power, jointly laying down layer upon layer of light screens and dark shadows,
forcibly dissipating the hammer's wind sweeping toward them.
When his first strike missed, Tang Hao pressed forward again.
The Clear Sky Hammer swept through broad, powerful arcs, forcing the two Titled Douluos to dodge repeatedly.
Yet after only a few exchanges, the tide of battle quietly shifted.
Though Tang Hao's strength was incomparably overbearing, years of heavy drinking had long since drained his vitality.
With his hangover still lingering, his breathing soon grew heavy and erratic,
and his steps began to grow unsteady and light.
"The booze is going to his head. He won't last long!"
Yue Guan's eyes were exceptionally keen. He saw through Tang Hao's outward strength and inner weakness at a glance.
He and Gui Mei worked in perfect harmony, immediately changing tactics and no longer clashing head-on with the Clear Sky Hammer.
Instead, they split apart, trapping Tang Hao between them on the left and right, constantly shrinking the space he had to maneuver and gather strength.
The Singular Velvet Sky Chrysanthemum in Yue Guan's palm suddenly bloomed, and his Sixth Soul Ring blazed with light.
"Sixth Soul Skill: Golden Stamens Overflow with Flowing Rosy Clouds!"
Golden petals filled the sky, transforming into incomparably sharp blades of flowing light,
sealing off every route around Tang Hao like a raging storm.
At the same time, Gui Mei's figure melted completely into the shadows on the ground.
Third Soul Skill: Ghost Shadow Entanglement silently activated,
and streaks of chilling black ghostly shadows wound toward Tang Hao's legs like festering sores clinging to bone!
Tang Hao roared and swung his hammer, shattering swathes of golden petal blades.
But the dizziness from his hangover suddenly surged into his mind at that very moment,
delaying the motion of drawing back his hammer by half a beat!
In a clash between experts, half a beat meant life or death.
"Now!"
Gui Mei abruptly sprang from the shadows behind Tang Hao, his chilling Soul Power forming chains
that clamped tightly around Tang Hao's shoulder joints;
Yue Guan closed in, golden light flickering at his fingertips,
seizing the moment when Tang Hao's old strength was spent and his new strength had yet to rise,
and delivered several successive, heavy finger strikes to the major acupoints on his chest!
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Powerful sealing force instantly flooded his meridians, completely cutting off and sealing Tang Hao's already chaotic Soul Power!
Tang Hao grunted, his towering body swaying violently.
At last, he could no longer hold himself up, and one knee slammed heavily into the mud.
The Clear Sky Hammer in his hand dimmed, dissolving into specks of black light that vanished without a trace.
The terrifying pressure enveloping the entire area vanished like smoke with it.
Keeping Bibi Dong's strict command to capture him alive firmly in mind, Yue Guan and Gui Mei did not strike to kill.
Only after confirming that the Soul Power within Tang Hao had been completely restrained and that he could no longer resist
did both finally breathe a sigh of relief and wave a hand, shouting:
"Take him away!"
Several Soul Saints immediately stepped forward, produced specially made heavy chains, and securely bound the half-conscious Tang Hao.
Behind the low wall.
Tang San clamped a hand over his mouth, his fingernails almost digging into the cracks between the bricks.
The moment the Clear Sky Hammer had appeared, he had thought his father would display the same awe-inspiring might he remembered, sending every one of these Spirit Hall clowns flying with two or three hammer blows.
But he had never imagined that, in barely ten breaths,
the all-conquering Clear Sky Douluo would, right before his eyes,
be subdued by Yue Guan and Gui Mei together, with all his Soul Power sealed!
Tang San's mind buzzed, utterly blank.
Why had this happened?
In his previous life, Spirit Hall had never discovered his father's whereabouts, even by the time he left Holy Soul Village.
Why had Chrysanthemum Douluo and Ghost Douluo come straight to their door in this life, before he was even six?
In the midst of it all.
Yue Guan and Gui Mei had no interest whatsoever in searching the village. They escorted Tang Hao away and turned to lead their men out.
The Spirit Hall party moved extremely quickly.
Wherever they passed, the terrified villagers on either side hurriedly cleared the way.
Many villagers' legs went weak, and they dropped to their knees in the mud with a series of thuds,
burying their heads low and shaking like chaff in a sieve as they respectfully saw these important figures off.
Only when the Spirit Hall party had completely disappeared at the end of the path outside the village,
and that suffocating pressure had entirely dissipated, did Tang San suddenly charge out from behind the low wall!
His short little legs carried him madly onto the village's dirt road,
but the way ahead was already deserted, with only a mess of broken stones left on the ground.
Overwhelming humiliation and helplessness instantly swallowed him.
"Ah!!"
Tang San's knees buckled, and he dropped heavily to his knees in the middle of the dusty road.
Clenching his fists tightly, he gritted his teeth and roared toward the direction Spirit Hall had departed:
"Spirit Hall! You and I cannot coexist!"
After shouting, his eyes red, he faced the direction his father had been taken,
and slammed his forehead heavily against the stony ground, kowtowing three times with resounding knocks.
Dad, just wait. I will avenge you!
The commotion in the village gradually subsided.
The old village chief, Jack, came stumbling out from behind the crowd, leaning on his walking stick.
Looking at Tang San kneeling on the ground with blood on his forehead, Old Jack could not bear the sight.
Afraid the child had suffered too great a shock, he hurriedly bent down to help him up.
"Little San, get up.
"Don't be afraid. The village will look after you from now on. Grandpa Jack is still here..."
As Old Jack brushed the dust off him, he looked toward the collapsed smithy,
and murmured, still shaken:
"I never would have dreamed that a drunkard who couldn't even forge farm tools properly
"would actually be a Titled Douluo...
"Sigh, but what crime did he commit out there for those important people from Spirit Hall to come to his door and arrest him?"
Old Jack had merely voiced a guess while still recovering from his fright,
but to Tang San, whose emotions were on the verge of spiraling out of control,
the words "what crime did he commit" were no less than the most vicious insult!
In his understanding, his father was a great hero who stood tall between heaven and earth.
All the blame lay with Spirit Hall, which bullied others with its power.
What right did a country bumpkin who knew nothing have to suspect his father of a crime?!
Rage instantly swept away his reason. Tang San abruptly sank his shoulders,
channeled a trace of Mysterious Heaven Skill internal power into his hands, and shoved Old Jack hard in the chest, shouting furiously:
"Don't you dare insult my dad!"
Old Jack was frail with age and had approached with nothing but kind intentions to help him up. How could he have guarded against that shove?
He cried out in alarm, his walking stick flying from his hand.
His aged body toppled backward and crashed heavily onto the muddy ground strewn with broken stones.
Tang San stood where he was, glaring down at Old Jack, who lay stunned by the fall, without the slightest guilt in his eyes.
His father had just suffered an unjust wrong.
No matter who it was, anyone who dared suspect or slander his father
was unforgivable!
