|---|---|---|
| Martial Soul Awakening — innate level twenty | 2 22 | Awakened the Six-Winged Angel at six years old with innate level-twenty Soul Power. |
| Level forty-two | 22 | Reached by age fourteen, eight years after awakening. Palace affairs and maintaining her disguise left little time for cultivation; Qian Daoliu considered her twenty-two-level gain inadequate for her aptitude. |
- Next stated goal: Reach the Soul Saint realm, the prerequisite Qian Daoliu gave her for requesting divine grace and beginning the Angel God Trial. Hearing Xu Fan describe divine-pressure training convinces her to prioritize her cultivation 15.
- Latest confirmed level: Still level forty-two during Bibi Dong’s attack; no further breakthrough is documented 28.
Background / History
Qian Renxue is the daughter of former Spirit Hall Pope Qian Xunji and current Pope Bibi Dong, and the granddaughter of Qian Daoliu. Before her Martial Soul Awakening, her father and grandfather sought rare spiritual ingredients and provided nourishing Soul Beast meat to strengthen her body and meridians 3 4 15.
Her relationship with Bibi Dong was marked by rejection and resentment. As a child, she could not understand her mother’s unwillingness to approach her; after repeated disappointments, she turned toward cultivation, missions, and proving herself under the expectations placed upon her 3 4.
Five years before the opening chapter, the real First Prince Xue Qinghe died and Qian Renxue assumed his identity. She meticulously copied his speech and behavior, presenting herself as a benevolent, intelligent, faultless prospective ruler while carrying out Spirit Hall’s infiltration of the Heaven Dou Imperial Palace 1.
Family Revelations
| Subject | What Xu Fan tells her | Qualification |
|---|---|---|
| Her birth | Qian Xunji sexually assaulted Bibi Dong to prevent her from leaving with Yu Xiaogang; Qian Renxue was conceived as a result 3. | Presented to Qian Renxue through Xu Fan’s account of Douluo Continent. |
| Her father’s death | Tang Hao gravely wounded Qian Xunji, but Bibi Dong subsequently killed him 4. | Contradicts Qian Renxue’s childhood understanding that he died from Tang Hao’s injuries. |
| Her grandfather’s motives | Qian Daoliu may have known the truth and sent her away partly to protect her from Bibi Dong 4. | Explicitly identified as reader speculation, not a confirmed motive. |
Appearance
- True appearance: Long golden hair reaching her waist, fair skin, exceptional beauty, and an innate air of nobility and coolness. On returning to Spirit City, she wears a flowing golden gown 22.
- Xue Qinghe disguise: Gentle, refined male features maintained through an Angel Soul Bone disguise skill 21 22.
- Martial Soul manifestation: Brilliant sacred golden light and six dazzling wings of light extending from her back 28.
Personality
Qian Renxue is disciplined, calculating, and accustomed to concealing her reactions. When Xu Fan exposes her identity and infiltration plan, she twice suppresses the impulse to kill him, choosing instead to investigate how an isolated, previously mentally impaired boy obtained classified information 1.
She strongly dislikes losing control of events, but refuses to accept a predicted defeat as inevitable. After learning about Tang San’s future, she withholds Xu Fan’s claims from the Worship Hall and begins considering her own choices rather than simply following the established plan 6 7.
Beneath her composure, she is deeply affected by her family’s rejection and demands. Xu Fan’s sympathy and promise of companionship nearly bring her to tears. Her concern for him becomes practical: she arranges medical attention, leaves a protector during her absence, and later studies meridians partly to help his disabled legs 4 8 21 27.
Her pride can also become violent. Hu Liena’s boasting about Bibi Dong’s affection and promised authority, combined with Xu Fan’s account of Hu Liena’s future betrayals, provokes Qian Renxue into kicking her out of the library’s seventh floor 24 25.
Abilities & Skills
Six-Winged Angel
A god-level, light-attributed Martial Soul associated with the Qian family’s bloodline 2 22 28.
- Produces sacred golden light and six luminous wings when manifested 28.
- Supports the scorching golden Soul Power she channels through a sword 27.
- Manifests reflexively when Bibi Dong’s pressure threatens her life, but cannot bridge the gap between her level-forty-two cultivation and an unrestricted Titled Douluo attack 28.
Disguise and Infiltration
Her Angel Soul Bone disguise skill allows her to maintain Xue Qinghe’s male appearance 21 22.
- Sustains a five-year impersonation supported by careful imitation of the prince’s conduct 1.
- Handles state affairs and cultivates relationships with court officials to maintain her position 22.
- Changes her outward appearance, not her underlying female body 21.
- Uses palace business as a cover when leaving Heaven Dou City to research immortal herbs 21.
Swordsmanship
Qian Renxue has secretly maintained a foundation in sword combat despite her political duties 27.
- Demonstrates a swift, steady thrust reinforced with golden Soul Power during a spar with Qian Daoliu 27.
- Is disarmed in two moves; Qian Daoliu instructs her to reflect on what her Six-Winged Angel Martial Soul has given her 27.
Immortal Herb and Meridian Research
After learning about the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well, she studies Spirit Hall’s restricted records to prepare to claim its treasures 19 21 24.
- Cross-references medicinal descriptions with illustrations, marking ambiguous entries for review 24.
- Learns the forms and medicinal properties of Octagonal Mysterious Ice Grass, Infernal Delicate Apricot, and Aromatic Silk Beauty 27.
- Studies physiques, meridians, and Soul Power both to understand bodily tempering and to seek help for Xu Fan 27.
- Has not yet obtained the herbs or cured Xu Fan’s condition in the documented chapters 27 28.
Equipment / Weapons / Items
- Angel Soul Bone Set — An inherited legacy accumulated by generations of Spirit Hall predecessors; its disguise skill enables her Xue Qinghe identity 19 21.
- Refined-steel longsword — Supplied by Qian Daoliu for their spar and knocked from her hand during the second exchange 27.
- Ancient scrolls and bamboo slips — Restricted-library materials she studies repeatedly during her stay in Spirit City 24 27.
Relationships
- Xu Fan — Mistakes her for his deceased older brother and unknowingly shares information that exposes her secrets. She maintains the misunderstanding, calls him “little brother,” and develops genuine concern for his safety and recovery 1 4 8 21 27.
- Bibi Dong — Mother and Spirit Hall’s Pope. Their estrangement escalates when Bibi Dong demands an apology to Hu Liena, then launches a lethal attack after the Six-Winged Angel triggers her trauma and Rakshasa evil thoughts 3 23 27 28.
- Qian Xunji — Deceased father. Despite Xu Fan’s revelations about his actions, she remains hostile toward Tang Hao for gravely wounding him 3 4 9.
- Qian Daoliu — Grandfather and demanding mentor. He monitors her cultivation, spars with her, and urges her to understand her Martial Soul more deeply 22 27.
- Golden Crocodile Douluo — Affectionately addressed as “Second Grandpa.” Defends her slow cultivation on account of her age, intercepts Bibi Dong’s attack, and escorts her safely down the mountain 22 28.
- She Long / Snake Lance Douluo — Hidden protector. Examines Xu Fan’s legs and remains behind to guard him while she visits Spirit City 5 8 21.
- Porcupinefish Douluo — Hidden protector and investigator. She sends him to verify Tang San’s circumstances while expressly forbidding an attack, then uses his findings to request an investigation into Tang Hao 6 9.
- Hu Liena — Bibi Dong’s disciple and a direct antagonist during the library visit. Her boasts provoke Qian Renxue’s assault and the subsequent confrontation with Bibi Dong 24 25 27.
- Tang San — Identified by Xu Fan as the future destroyer of her palace coup. She investigates him but recognizes that making him her sole obsession could itself undermine her judgment 5 6 11.
Story Role / Major Arcs
Xu Fan’s Mistaken Identity
- Visits Xu Fan to offer condolences after his palace-servant brother dies on duty; instead, he greets her as that brother 1.
- Learns that he claims to have read their world’s story in a novel called Douluo Continent. His knowledge of her identity, innate Soul Power, Martial Soul, and soul bones persuades her to investigate rather than silence him 1 2.
- Orders her protectors to leave him alone and personally makes him noodles while questioning him about her family 2 3.
Challenging the Predicted Future
- Hears that her long infiltration will end in a failed palace coup opposed by Tang San, Dugu Bo, and Yang Wudi 5.
- Authorizes an investigation of Tang San, but forbids harming him and declines to report Xu Fan’s claims to the Great Enshrined 6 7.
- Sends Spirit Hall a carefully framed report identifying Holy Soul Village as Tang Hao’s suspected hiding place without disclosing Xu Fan’s role. Bibi Dong subsequently orders Tang Hao captured alive 9 11.
- Rejects fixation on Tang San after Xu Fan describes her novel counterpart’s future feelings for him as a destructive “heart demon” 11.

- Leaves She Long with Xu Fan and travels to Spirit City, dropping her disguise upon arrival 21 22.
- Gains unrestricted access to the library’s highest floor as Spirit Hall’s rightful young master, then spends dozens of days studying the materials she collects 24 27.
Conflict in Spirit City

- Kicks Hu Liena through the library railing after their confrontation; Hu Liena survives and complains to Bibi Dong 24 25 27.
- Survives Bibi Dong’s retaliatory confrontation through Golden Crocodile Douluo’s intervention 28.
