Underworld Temple

• Flash Rider: A fast-moving iron vehicle used by Silver Lion to knock Ma Hongjun out of the sky 6.

History

Foundation and Ancient Holy War

Hades established the Underworld single-handedly ten thousand years before the current events. During that era, he fought the Angel God with the strength of a level 99 Limit Douluo. The holy war ended with Hades voluntarily entering slumber 1 2.

Exposure by the Heavenly Screen

When Lin Feng’s consciousness awakens inside the Xuanming Coffin, the Heavenly Screen appears across the Douluo Plane. It reveals the Underworld’s landscape, founding, and connection to the ancient holy war, while warning that Hades’s revival will plunge the continent into darkness 1 2.

The revelation initially meets disbelief. Yu Yuanzhen rejects the account of its ten-thousand-year history, while other viewers assume that the faction belongs to the Soul Beast Clan after noticing Lion King’s appearance. That identification is presented as the spectators’ inference, not a confirmed description of the entire Underworld 3 4.

Expedition to Heaven Dou Imperial City

Lion King leads a fleet to recover the Xuanming Key from the imperial palace, where it is known as the Vast Sea Cosmic Shroud. His stated priority is obtaining the artifact and returning, rather than becoming entangled with the inhabitants 4.

The expedition defeats Ma Hongjun, the Golden Iron Triangle, and the combined resistance of Sword Douluo and Poison Douluo. After securing the artifact, Lion King razes Heaven Dou Imperial City with Seven Injuries Tribulation without targeting its people, then withdraws 6 7 10.

Resurrection Countdown

Lion King returns to the Underworld and inserts the key into the coffin. Its seals unlock, beginning a 100-day resurrection countdown. Lin Feng’s resurrection progress reaches 20%, restoring his Soul Power to level 20; successful completion is promised to advance him directly to the God King realm 13 14.

The Heavenly Screen identifies stopping the resurrection as the continent’s opportunity to avert catastrophe and opens the route beginning at Thunder Mountain Range 11 12.

Thunder Mountain Range Conflict

Long Ying departs to collect a “blood debt” while helping secure time for Hades’s return. At the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan’s headquarters, she poisons Yu Tianheng and kills Yu Yuanzhen, claiming that the clan owes a debt to the dragon race 14 17 18 22.

Spirit Hall’s intervention also fails: she kills the Four King Banners and the Ninth Elder, breaks the Two Extremes Stillness Domain, and defeats Chrysanthemum and Ghost Douluo. She then exposes Yu Luomian’s collusion with Spirit Hall, which he admits before Tang San arrives 24 25 26 27.

Relations with Outside Powers

• Heaven Dou Empire — Seeks to reclaim the Vast Sea Cosmic Shroud. Xue Qinghe and Prince Xue Xing promise military support for efforts to stop Hades’s resurrection 11 15.
• Tang San and Shrek — Tang San pledges to gather the Shrek Seven Devils to hunt Underworld forces, recover the artifact, and avenge his injured teacher 8 11.
• Spirit Hall — Initially watches the expedition as an opportunity to weaken Heaven Dou. After Yu Xiaogang is injured, Bibi Dong declares the Underworld her foremost enemy and orders its members killed on discovery 3 8.
