Background / History

Long Ying’s campaign against the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan is driven by personal revenge as well as her service to the Underworld. She regards Yu Tianheng as a descendant of her father’s killer and chooses him as the first victim of her attack. She later states that the clan exterminated her own people and owes a blood debt to the dragon race 17 18 28.

She also claims ownership of the dragon Soul Bone fragments comprising the True Dragon Nine Crowns. After taking them from Yu Yuanzhen, she treats their recovery as the return of something that originally belonged to her 21.

Appearance

Long Ying has a petite, slender figure, fair skin, finely sculpted features, and short white hair. When she removes her helmet, observers judge that she looks no older than twenty; her actual age is not established 26.

Personality

Long Ying is ruthless toward those she holds responsible for her losses. She mocks Yu Tianheng’s refusal to fight women, taunts Yu Yuanzhen over his grandson’s condition, and carries out her revenge despite Dugu Yan’s intervention. Her statements about love, betrayal, and suspicion express deep resentment rather than an absence of personal feeling 17 22 26.

She remains composed when underestimated and uses that misjudgment against her opponents. Rather than immediately displaying her full strength, she exploits Yu Tianheng’s arrogance and later challenges Spirit Hall’s Ninth Elder for attacking without first determining her capabilities 17 24.

Her hostility is selective. She spares Dugu Yan after recognizing a familiar presence associated with the Jade Phosphor Serpent Emperor Martial Soul. She also argues forcefully against Tang San’s treatment of Soul Beasts and his demand that she abandon a vendetta while maintaining his own 22 28.

Story Role / Major Arcs

Assault on Nine Dragon Peak

The Heavenly Dao publicly identifies Long Ying as Scorpion Woman, reveals her guardian position and peak energy, and broadcasts her advance toward the Thunder Mountain Range. She arrives aboard an Underworld warship with more than ten female followers, orders them to investigate without revealing themselves, and approaches the clan’s square alone 15 16.

Yu Tianheng confronts her, confident that he can defeat her. Long Ying poisons him with a concealed tail strike, provoking Yu Yuanzhen into battle. After evading his initial attacks, she summons Scorpion King against his Martial Soul Avatar and reveals level 97 strength 17 18 19.

She traps Yu Yuanzhen in the Dark Heavenly Screen, mortally wounds him, and removes the True Dragon Nine Crowns. Dugu Yan’s demand that she stop does not prevent the killing. Before Yu Yuanzhen dies, Long Ying tells him that her surname is Long and that she has come to collect a blood debt 21 22.

Battle Against Spirit Hall

Spirit Hall’s Ninth Elder, Chrysanthemum Douluo, and Ghost Douluo attempt to exploit the aftermath of her battle and seize the clan. Long Ying refuses to withdraw, unleashes Demonic Grievance Tribulation, and kills the Four King Banners after paralyzing them with poison 23 24.

Chrysanthemum and Ghost briefly restrain her with their fusion skill, but she breaks free, severely repels both, and severs the Ninth Elder at the waist. She then draws attention to Yu Luomian’s unusually distressed reaction to the elder’s death 25.

Exposure of Yu Luomian

Long Ying questions how Spirit Hall reached the defensible mountain without an inner elder’s token. After overpowering Yu Luomian’s ambush, she accuses him of helping an outside force attack his own clan. He eventually confesses to colluding with Spirit Hall 26 27.

Confrontation with Tang San

When Tang San arrives, he denounces her killing of Yu Yuanzhen. Long Ying responds that his Soul Rings also represent slain lives and reveals that the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan exterminated her people 28.

She challenges him to abandon his hatred of Spirit Hall before demanding that she relinquish her own. The argument ends with her accusing him of coveting Xiao Wu’s hundred-thousand-year Soul Ring—an accusation, not an established fact 28.
