Appearance
- Turns the azure sky into a golden, mirrorlike expanse, spilling golden light across the continent 1.
- Stretches across untold thousands of miles, with lightning appearing within it as images emerge 2.
- Presents changing viewpoints, close-ups, three-dimensional character images, and accompanying information panels 4 6.
- Delivers announcements through a voice described as the voice of the Heavenly Dao 2 15.
Background
The Heavenly Screen appeared as Lin Feng’s consciousness awakened inside the Xuanming Coffin after ten thousand years. Its opening announcement warned that a terrifying catastrophe was approaching the current plane and declared that it would broadcast developments live. It subsequently identified Hades’s awakening as the danger and urged the continent to prevent his resurrection 1 2 11.
Its source remained unexplained. Even Qian Daoliu did not know where it came from and advised Spirit Hall’s worships against acting rashly. Although its announcements use the voice of the Heavenly Dao, his suggestion that the phenomenon embodies the Heavenly Dao’s will is presented as a question, not an established explanation 2.
Abilities & Functions
Continent-Wide Live Broadcasting
The Heavenly Screen allows geographically separated audiences to follow the same events through images and sound 1 3.
- Broadcasts the Underworld fleet’s movements, battles in Heaven Dou Imperial City, and events inside Hades’s temple 3 6 13.
- Transmits speech from the battlefield across the continent, including declarations and named attacks 9 20 23.
- Changes its viewpoint to highlight individual participants and developments during combat 4 6.
- Enables distant viewers to recognize danger, but does not provide a demonstrated means of contacting those onscreen: Tang San spots the Flash Rider approaching Ma Hongjun yet cannot warn him 6.
Identity and Power Disclosure
The screen publishes names, affiliations, ranks, energy measurements, and techniques that viewers do not already know 4 6 15.
| Subject | Information Revealed |
|---|---|
| Hades | Latent Soul Power of level 100+; founder of the Underworld; fought the Angel God ten thousand years earlier before voluntarily entering slumber 2. |
| Lion King | First-ranked of Hades’s Four Great Guardians; normal Super Beast Energy of 2.0 black holes; finishing move, Seven Injuries Tribulation 4. |
| Silver Lion | One of Lion King’s two great generals and an assault commander of the Lion King Fleet; detected energy of 0.28 black holes 6. |
| Long Ying / Scorpion Woman | One of Hades’s Four Great Guardians; peak Super Beast Energy of 0.7 black holes 15. |

- Supplements Lion King’s profile with footage of Seven Injuries Tribulation flattening a small mountain before returning to the live march 4.
- Corrects Yu Xiaogang’s speculation that Scorpion Woman might be Hades’s wife by identifying her as a guardian 14 15.
Catastrophe Warnings and Countdown Notices
The Heavenly Screen connects its broadcasts to a public warning campaign against Hades’s revival 2 11.
- Identifies obtaining the key to the Xuanming Coffin as the condition for Hades’s awakening 2.
- Announces the Underworld warriors’ mission to retrieve the Xuanming Key from the Heaven Dou Empire 3.
- Issues a 100-day resurrection countdown after Lion King obtains the key, warning that Hades will become a supreme deity when it ends 11.
- Declares stopping the resurrection to be the continent’s only chance to end the catastrophe 11.
- Reveals Thunder Mountain Range as the first stop on the route toward the Underworld 12.
Viewing Concealed Battlefields
The Heavenly Screen can display events inside Scorpion Woman’s Dark Heavenly Screen, despite the technique concealing its interior from outside observers 21.
- Shows Scorpion King approaching behind Yu Yuanzhen while he cannot locate her 21.
- Gives remote viewers a clearer view of that encounter than the trapped combatant himself possesses 21.
- The Dark Heavenly Screen is Scorpion Woman’s separate combat technique, not the continent-wide broadcasting phenomenon 21.
